Kajal felt some warm light on her eyes. She slowly opened her eyes and saw she was in a palace. The walls were decorated with bright colors. She was laying on bed. She tried to get up. But she could not. She saw her hands were tied behind her back and legs were also bound. She turned towards the right side, but she fell down. But she didn't get hurt. She just felt pain for a second and then it was gone. She thought,"weird, how come I did not get hurt? I fell from a bed, but still did not get any kind of hurt." She turned her body towards wall. Her hands felt the floor. It felt smooth, but a little bit waxy. She understood where she was. Laxmi Palace. She turned her body towards the floor and started wriggle towards the door. But, she could not reach it as she was exhausted from yesterday night's trial and hungry also, as she had not eaten anything. She could not think straight. She just felt tired. As she was about to close her eyes, she felt as if someone was opening the ropes. She turned her face around and saw a boy of 16 years, who looked handsome, wearing clothes of a royal prince. She understood who was the boy.

Kajal- Abhimanyu!

Abhimanyu- Ji maate, main hoon, apka Abhimanyu. Rassiya khul gayi hai, ab aap kahde ho sakte hai.

Kajal- Dhanyawad, Abhimanyu. Lekin tum toh..

Abhimanyu- Maar gaya tha. Paar aatma kaha maarti hai. Main aapke saamne aatma ke roop mein hi khada hoon.

Kajal- Paar tum yaha kaise aaye. Aur tumhe pata bhi kaise chaala ki hum yaha hai?

Abhimanyu- Ma, aapke hath mein jo Raksha dhaaga bandha hua haina, usse.

Kajal- Matlab?

Abhimanyu- Matlab yeh Ma, yeh jo Dhaaga hai, jo aapke haath mein aapke Ma bandhi thi, jab do-teen saal ki thi, woh aapke Pita yani Kuldeep ji ke Guru ne di thi. Guruji koi aur nahi par Rishi Ved Vyas ji the. Unhe pehle se hi aabhas ho gaya tha ki aap par hamesha koi na koi khatra mandrata rahega. Toh isliye unhone meri aatma ko iss dhaage ke saath bandh diya jisse aap par koi aisa var kare jisse, aap ki jaan khatre mein ho, usse mein aapki raksha karu.

Everything became clear to Kajal. She understood now how did escape from the fatal attacks. But as usual, there was doubt in her head.

Kajal- Agar aaj tak tum meri raksha kar rahe the, toh uss din jab mein Sharman yani Dusshasan se lad rahi tumhare pita, chacha aur mere bhaiyo ki raksha karne, tab tumne kuch kyu nahi kiya?

Abhimanyu- Main karna chahta tha, par Mama Shakuni ne tab aise maantro ka jaal bichake raakha tha, jise main tod nahi paaya. (with sad look).

Kajal- Koi baath nahi, Abhimanyu.

Before she could continue, she felt dizzy and was almost about to fall down, when Abhimanyu caught her in his arms.

Abhimanyu- Mata, aap yaha bathiye(lies her down her bed). Mein aapke liye bhojan lata hu. Kal rath se aapne kuch khaaya nahi hai.

He disappears from there. After few minutes he appears with Bengali food Thali.

Kajal- (shocked look) Yeh tum kaha se le aaye? Yah paar yeh thali kahi bhi naahi milti.

Abhimanyu- Aapko yeh thali pasand hai na. Toh mein fat se Bangal gaya aur jhat se yeh thali le aaya. Aab aap chup se khaiye.

Kajal- Theek hai, paar agar koi yaah aagya toh?

Abhimanyu- Toh kuch nahi hoga. Mere shaktiyon ke kaaran, agar yaha par koi aaya toh use lagaga ki aap soyi hui hai.

Kajal- Toh phir theek hai. Par hath kaha dhou mein?

Abhimanyu- Yeh lijiye. (Gives her wet towel).

Kajal- Thank you, mere matlab hai dhanyawad.

After eating food, she feels much better. But then get worried.

Kajal-(in worried tone) Abhimanyu, waise baki sab kaha hai?

Abhimanyu- Arun papa ke pure Parivar ko niche ke kaamre mein ek saath bandh rakha gaya hai. Aapki behno ko unhone abhi bhi uss mayavi talab ke niche rakha hai.

Kajal- Vaise Yuvraj ke saath unhone kya kiya hai?

Abhimanyu- Unhone Yuvraj ko uss chabi wale darwaaze ke peche kaalkotari mein bandh kar ke rakha hai.

Kajal- Aur Bal Bhaiya, Vasu kaha hai?

Abhimanyu- Woh abhi ke liye Dwarka mein ruke huye hai.

Kajal- Par who waha hai kaise pahunch gaye?

Abhimanyu- Asal mein jab aap Sarasvati Haveli ki gupt kaamre mein the, tab who dono Dwarka ke liye rawana ho gaye.

Kajal- (after thinking something)Abhi ke liye, kya tum mujhe uss kamre tak le jasakte ho, jahaan par pure Devlani parivaar ko kad karke raakha hai.

Abhimanyu nods his heads.

Kajal- Toh phir chalo. Ek minute, jaane se pehle tumhare jaadu iss kamre mein rahega na?

Abhimanyu- Ha rahega, jab tak ki mein iss jagah se na chala jau.

Kajal- Toh phir thik hai. Ab mujhe leke chalo unke pass.

Abhimanyu- Ji Maate.

Abhimanyu takes her to downstairs towards a locked door. The door was designed in such a way that it was hard to find the lock. Kajal around to find some other way to enter the room, but she could find none. Then she got an idea.

Kajal- Abhimanyu, kya tum darwaze ke aar-paar ja sakte ho?

Abhimanyu- Ha, mein pehle bhi ja chuka hu.

Kajal- Toh andar jake, iss darwaze ko kholne ki koshish karo.

Abhimanyu- Jo aagya Maate.

Abhimanyu went behind the door. After few minutes, Kajal heard an unlocking sound and slowly the door opened. She saw Abhimanyu standing at the side of the door. She looked inside. The room was lavishly built and there were around eight beds lying in straight line near a wall. On each bed, one person was lying, with hands tied. On the right side wall, there was a window. Kajal goes near the window. The window opens towards the front side of Laxmi Palace. From the window, the main road and front door area can be seen easily. She saw a line of 5 cars stopping infront of Laxmi Palace. From that some people, got out. At first she could not see who it was. But as they came nearer, she recognized them. The two people leading the group were none other then Yudh and Sharman. Rest of the group was made up of guards, holding an injured person in between. She instantly knew who it was. The person was Yuvraj. Among the guards she saw the familiar face of Gahan. But she knew that he had not been reminded of his previous life, yet. She saw that they were entering the palace. Kajal turns around and finds Abhimanyu just behind her.

Kajal- (Scared inside then takes deep breath)Abhimanyu, mein chahti hoon ki tum in per nazar rakho aur aakar mujhe baatao ki who yahaan kis liye, aaye hai. Aur agar who iss kamre ki taraf aa rahe hai toh mujhe batana.

Abhimanyu- Jo aagya Maate.

Then he vanished from there. Kajal quickly went towards the beds and tried waking them up, but they were in deep sleep.

Kajal POV

I tried waking them up one by one, but no one was waking up. Then I started praying to Keshav to show me a way. I suddenly hear a noise. I see all of them waking up from their slumber. I thank Keshav in my mind.

Arun-(slowly opening his eyes and whispering) Kajal...

Karan-(in similar state and looking at Kajal and whispering) Vaishali...

Ajay-(in similar state and manner and whispering) Devi...

Vansh-(in similar state and manner and whispering) Beti Devasena...

Utkarsh-(in similar state and manner and Whispering) Karuna...

Deven-(in similar state and manner and whispering) Jaya...

Priya- (in similar state and manner and whispering) Putri Draupadi...

Deep-(in similar state and manner and whispering) Priye Pritha....

I understood what was going on. Since they were waking up from their deep slumber, they were seeing the ones they loved the most and whom they were thinking about while they were in the slumber. I quickly goes near a table were a jug full of water and glasses were kept. I filled one of the glass and went near Arun and made him drink water. After the filling the glass, I went to the other people and made them drink water. Finally everyone was fully conscious. Arun was the first person to see me clearly.

Arun- (Lovingly)Nityayuvani Krishna...

Panchali- Ji, Vijay Krishna...(lovingly)

And then somebody coughs. We both come out of their trance and look at the source of the sound. It was none other then the most handsome and mischievious brother, Utkarsh alias Nakul.

Utkarsh- Aap dono ka hogaya ho toh, Bhabhishree, kripya aap mere haatho ki rassiya khol dengi?

Panchali- Asiheti, aapne abhi mujhe kya kaheke pukara?

Nakul- Maine aapko, bhabhishree kehke pukara.

Panchali-Prantu, Mahabharat kal mein main aapki patni...

Nakul- thi, ab nahi.

Panchali- arthath?

Nakul- iss janam aap sirf apne Vijay Krishna ki Nityayuvani Krishna hai. Iss janam mujhe, apna saccha prem mil gaya hai.

Panchali- Aur who aur koi nahi, Karunemati urf Karuna hai.

Nakul- Hai aapko kaise pata chala?

Panchali- Bas pata chal gaya.

Nakul- Woh sab thik hai, ab toh haatho ki rassiya kholiye Bhabhi.

Panchali- Maaf kar dijiye, Asiheti. Main yeh rassiya abhi ke liye khol nahi sakti.

Karn- Magar kyun?

Yudhistir- Ha Panchali, aisa kyun?

Panchali- Aap sab, apne charon aor nazar ghumayiye.

They all looked around. Then everyone except Pandu got it. Pandu looked at her puzzeled.

Panchali- (looks at Pandu's puzzled face) Pranipat, Hastinapur ke Poorv Maharaja Pandu. Mein pichle janam aapki paancho putro ki bahu thi. Aur yehi woh sthan hai Jahan par aapke putro aur patni ko jeevit jalakar maarne ki koshish ki gayi thi. Iss sthan ka vartman naam Laxmi Palace hai, par asal mein yeh sthan Lakshagriha hai.

Then everything makes sense to Pandu and he recalls those events which he had seen from Swarg which made him feel helpless.

Pandu- Dhanya ho tumhara Panchali. Tumhare kathan ne mujhe sab kuch yaad dila diya.

Panchali- Yeh toh mera saubhagya hai, Pitashree.

Kunti and Pandu smile at her, remembering what they had said to Kajal aka Panchali.

Yudhistir- Par ab hume kyu in rassiyo mein bandhe rehna hai?

Panchali- iss liye kyu ki ab tak hame pata nahi hai ki, Duryodhan aapke saath kya karna chahta aur un Kaurava agla kadam kya hoga?

Sahadev- Sahi hai.

Just then I snap my head towards the door with a puzzled look and give an assuring nod to someone.

Abhimanyu POV

I went towards the first floor. I saw the group going towards the dining area of the palace. I flew towards the room. I saw Yudh, I mean Duryodhan Kaka beating Yuvraj, alias, Yuyutsu Kaka. Sharman aka Dusshasan Kaka, sitting on a arm chair and relaxing. The guards were just surrounding them. As I was looking at guards, one guard seemed really familiar to me. I flew near and examined his face more closely. I felt that I had seen the face some where. Then it stirkes me, where I had seen the face. He is none other than my big brother, and friend, Ghatotkach. But why isn't he saying something or doing something to stop the injustice. Why was he being a mute spectator when he was the son of Mighty Gadadhari, Bheem? Then I hear a shout. I turn around and look that Duryodhan Kaka had broken the leg of Yuyutsu kaka, Whereas Dusshasan Kaka was just smiling.

Duryodhan-Kaisa lag raha hai mere priye, Anuj? Anand aa raha hai ya peeda ho rahi hai?

Yuyutsu gives an angry look, even though he is feeling pain.

Duryodhan- Jyada hat mat karo, Anuj. Abhi chup chap baatao, uss kaale dwar ko hum kaise khol sakte hai?

Yuyutsu- Main nahi baatunga. Aap pitashree se hi puch lijiye na. Woh bhi toh mere saath, nahi mere peeche hi toh gaye the.

Duryodhan- Ha, par jab woh dwar tak pahuche, dwar khula tha. Toh who gyat nahi kar paye, ki who dwar kaise khulta hai. Paar tum toh jaante ho. Ab tum hi hame bataoge ki woh dwar kaise khola jata hai.

Yuyutsu- Mein kadapi nahi bataunga, Jyetha. Chahe tum mere pran hi kyu na lelo.

Duryodhan- Mujhe Jyestha bulakar bhi, aisi uddanta karte ho. Dekho, mujhe tumhe chot pahuchate hua dukh hota. (Shreding crocodile tears) Apne Jyeshta ko aise kasht na do.

Yuyutsu- Jyeshth, jo tum abhi kar rahe ho, woh kya Mama Shakuni se sikha hai?

Dusshasan- Tum yeh prashana kyu kar rahe ho? Tumhe apne bratha ki peeda nahi dikh rahi. (Fake sad face)

Yuyutsu- (Chuckling) Peeda? Kis peeda ki baat kar rahe ho, Dusshasan Jyestha? Aaaj tak toh mere baare mein socha nahi, aur aaj jab socha, toh uska uphaar yeh. (Chuckling more)

Dusshasan- (Going near Yuyutsu and holding his collar)(In angry voice) Abhi samay hai chup chap baato do ki woh dwar kaise khulta hai?

Yuyutsu- Main nahi baataunga, chahe tum mere pran hi kyu na lelo.

I was feeling sad seeing this. I could do nothing to help him, but there was someone who could. I flew near Gahan and started whispering the mantra which would remind him, his past. I slowly saw a change coming over him. But he could not do anything as off now. I again concentrate what was going infront of me.o

Dusshasan-(with sly smile) Agar tum nahi baataoge, uske bhishan parinam honge.

Yuyutsu- (worried look) Kya karoge aap?

Before he could continue Duryodhan stopped him.

Duryodhan- (with more sly smile) Janna chahte ho na kya karenge hum? Thoda idhar-udhar nazar ghumao aur baatao ki hum kahan hai?

Yuyutsu looks around. The designs on the wall and the floor remind him of a sinister plan which his jyestha had excuted with Mamashree.

Yuyutsu- Lakshagriha!

Duryodhan- Sahi pehechana, par tumhare liye kuch surprise hai. (looks at Gahan and other guards) Upar ke bandh darwaarze wale kaamre jaao aur mehemaano ko leke aao.

I quickly fly towards and close and lock the door quietly. Mata looks at me puzzled.

Third Person View

Kajal gives confused look to Abhimanyu.

Abhimanyu- Mata kuch sipahi iss taraf aa rahe, inhe lene. (Looks at the beds and sees all of them awake, with their hands and legs tied)

Kajal gives assuring nod.

Arjun- tum kise dekh rahi ho, Panchali?

Draupadi- Kisi ko toh nahi. Par ab aap sabko phir se behoshi ke halat mein rehane ka natak karna padega kyu ki woh aap sabko yaha se lene aa rahe hai.

Karn-Kon?

Draupadi-Duryodhan ke sipahi. Abhi aap sab behosh hone ka natak kijiye, mujhe yahaan se jaana hoga.

Pandavas and Suryaputra together- Apna khayal rakhna Panchali.

She gives them a assuring node and leaves the room. She giving a knowing look to Abhimanyu who does his magic on them, then closes the door and locks it. They both go back to the room where she was kept as a hostage.

Draupadi- Abhimanyu, jaise tumne mujhe pehle dekha tha, waise hi mujhe bandh do, aur apni shaktiyon se aise maya banao, jisse logo ko dekh kar lage ki mein behosh hoon, jaise tumne abhi kiya tha.

Abhimanyu- Jo agya maate.

Abhimanyu did his magic and was just standing there.

Draupadi- Abhimanyu, meri ek vinti hai tumse. Kya tum phir se wah par jaa sakte ho, jaha paar unhone meri behno ko kaid kar rakha hai. Kya tum unhe surakshit Dwarika le jaaoge?

Abhimanyu- Parantu Maate...

Draupadi- Chinta mat karo mujhe kuch nahi hoga aur mein yaha kuch galat nahi hone doongi. Main sabko surakshit Dwarika le jaungi. 

Abhimanyu nods his head and disappears.
