Y/N P.O.V

"Huh?!" I exclaimed. I pointed towards myself. "What? You want me to travel to Danofor with you?" I repeated in utter shock. Meliodas nodded with his usual smile. "Yup! Besides, if you stay with me, we'll be sure to find an answer to your problem!" He exclaimed.

"Are you sure? I don't want to be a burden to you, but then again I'm sure I'd be doing Liz a favor by being on perverted Meliodas check," I spoke sarcastically. Liz chuckled, rubbing her neck.

"You wouldn't be a burden. Besides, the children were saying that they'd love to visit Danofor," she clapped her hands together. Meliodas gave me a thumbs up and grabbed my wrist. "Even so! You're coming with us no matter what!"

I packed a few of my things while Meliodas and Liz gathered their own. I led the way back to the village. Once again, the group of children greeted us. "Hey! Look! They're back!" Mika exclaimed, immediately running over and hugging Meliodas.

"Mika, you sure did take quite a liking to Meliodas, didn't you?" I chuckled. Liz waved at the children and walked over to them. "Say? I know you all have never been to Danofor. Y/N will be coming with us and we were wondering if you all would like to come along?"

The children all immediately smiled. "Yeah!" "Really?!" Yayy!" They all seemed to smile. Mika looked up at Meliodas with stars in her eyes. "Really? You guys mean it? You'll take us all to Danofor?" The little girl was in disbelief.

Ace walked over to Meliodas and smiled. "Thank you, Sir Meliodas. All of the children are thrilled. You know, I wasn't sure about you, but I guess you're okay. Even if you are short-" he snickered quietly. Meliodas laughed and smiled. "Thanks kid!"

After many days of travelling, Danofor was finally in sight. "Woahh," the children all gasped. We brought the five children along. Mika, the eight year old girl and Ace, her sixteen year old brother. The other three were triplets. Knox was nine. Azure was six and Zander was five.

We all walked through the town. The triplets were having the time off their lives running through the streets. Meliodas was kind enough to carry Mika on his shoulders. Ace was practically in tears, saying that, the smell of delicious food was in the air.

"Squawk! Got anything shiny?" A bird flew in between Liz and Meliodas. "Yo! Wandall!" Liz chuckled and glanced down at me and Meliodas. "You all can stay at me and Meliodas' place. After all, you were nice enough to let Meliodas and I stay in yours," she smiled. It almost hurt to see her smile after knowing about her curse, but she was happy, and that's all that matters.

"That would be lovely. Thank you Liz, Meliodas!" I exclaimed. We let the triplets run around until they ran out of energy. Ace carried Zander on his shoulders and I carried Knox and Azure.

Liz opened the door and began to make dinner while Meliodas helped me get the children set up. The triplets were so tired out that they fell asleep pretty easily. Mika ran over to Liz and stood on her tiptoes to see what she was making.

Ace took Mika in his arms so that she could see the stove better without accidentally burning herself. "It smells amazing, Liz! Thank you for making dinner. I can help clean up the house whenever. Knowing my sister and the triplets, they might make a mess during our stay," he chuckled, setting Mika back down.

"Dinner's ready!" Liz called out once she was finished. She set the stew down on the table and some salad that she had stored. Not long after, she filled up Wandall's bowl of bird seed.

"It tastes amazing Liz! Thank you so much!" I smiled brightly. It definitely beats Meliodas' cooking by a long shot. Not long after, we all had fallen asleep after cleaning up.

For many months, the children and I stayed in Danofor with Liz and Meliodas. The children had started to view Meliodas and Liz as family.

"Lizzz," Zander mumbled. He rubbed his eyes while he walked out of the room the triplets share. Liz looked down at Zander and walked over to him. "What is it, Zander? You usually sleep in much later than this. It's around six a.m," Liz spoke gently.

"I had a nightmare. It was really scary," Liz took Zander in her arms and sat down on the couch with him. "Was was it about? Do you want to tell me?" She looked down at him. He looked up at her with teary eyes before hugging her tightly.

"T-there were demons! T-they were everywhere an-and they killed a lot of people! Y/N tried to fight the demon, b-but she got hurt! There was a lot of blood. Then Ace fell asleep and didn't wake up when the demon hit him! All of us were alone and w-we were sooo scared! Then, Meliodas screamed really loudly! W-when we found him....there was a big purple demon and y-you were-," he couldn't finished before he broke into tears.

Liz wrapped her arms around him and pat his head. "Don't worry. It was only a dream. I'll stay with you until you fall back asleep, okay?" Liz smiled. Zander nodded and wiped away his tears. He fell asleep not much long after.

Meliodas walked out of his room with a yawn. He tilted his head at the sight of Zander sleeping peacefully against Liz. "He had a nightmare. I'll go bring him back to his room and then we can leave for that mission,"

She quietly returned him to his room and draped his blanket back over him. She smiled softly as she glanced across all the sleeping children. "I'll see you all when we get back," Liz smiled as she walked through the door with Meliodas.

I woke up not much after. Meliodas and Liz were usually gone in the mornings. The Holy Knights needed the both of them for an abundance of missions. One by one, the children woke up. "Attention all children! Time for role call!" I shouted out.

Almost immediately, all five of them were in the living room in a straight line with smiles on their faces. "1, 2, 3, 4, and 5! Looks like everyone is present! Say, we should all go out today and have some fun!" I proposed the idea to them.

Ace looked at me and smiled brightly. "Does that mean food!?" I nodded and jumped up to ruffle his hair since he was much taller than me. "Heck ya!" We decided to go out and buy some food.

Many hours passed by. None of us seemed to have a care in the world. However, that day finished in a way none of us would've expected it too.

Within a blink of an eye, Danofor was on fire. Blood was spilt. Everywhere you went would have the metallic scent of blood. "Y/N? What's going on?" Knox held his two brothers hands in an attempt to comfort them.

"I don't know...." I mumbled, my eyes wide. "No..." Zander mumbled. He ran up to me and clung to my dress. His eyes were wide and tears ran down his face, his breathing fast. I've never seen him so scared. "It's just like in my dream! Liz said it wouldn't happen, but-" I nodded and looked down at all the children.

"Listen to me, you all need to stay close to me. I will protect you, so just trust me. Stay close together and never stray too far away from me," I explained. "Ace, take Mika and Azure. I'll take Knox and Zander. Then we need to-" I explained.

The floor began to rumble. Rocks of rubble flew through the air as a red demon entered the scene with a loud roar. "Get behind me!" My hands shook in fear. I bit my lip. I could hear the whimpers of the children that clung tightly to Ace.

The Demon Race was still filled with emotions. Could I really hurt a demon to protect what I love? But, I can't let these children die. They mean everything to me! When I first found that village, I was an empty husk, but they gave me life again!

"Don't worry about me, okay? I'll be okay. If anything goes wrong, don't forget that you all mean the world to me!" I looked back at them and gave them a smile. As much as I wanted to use my wings, I knew that I had to resist the urge.

I held my hands out in front of me. I let out a yell and created a spear of light. I ran forward and jumped to the right to avoid its hand. I jumped up and sliced its right arm with the spear of light.

My eyes went wide as I heard the children scream. The arm I cut off was heading straight towards them. Without thinking, my wings flew out. I flew in front of them before it could hit them. It almost pierced my chest, but luckily I caught it, just in time.

"Y/N? Those wings?! Are you-" Ace muttered in shock. "Y/N has wings," Azure muttered in surprise.

"If you hurt any of these children......I'll kill you!" I shouted, the tears welling up in my eyes. With a shout, I gripped the arm and threw it back into the demon with such force that it cut straight through it's body.

I flew down to the ground, thinking that the demon was done. However, there was one piece of information that I was never informed off. My mind was so flustered by worry that I couldn't think straight.

"Come on, we need to get away from here. Now!" Mika gently touched my wings and looked up at me with a curious look. I let out a sigh and turned to look at Ace.

"I'm sure that you recognize them. My wings," I spoke. He nodded slowly. "Those are the wings of the Goddess Race....but I thought that they were all sealed away-" his eyes widened. "Y/N!" Time went so fast that I couldn't comprehend anything.

He ran past me. As soon as I turned around, I screamed. "Ace!" The demons arm ripped through his torso. He was bleeding horribly. The demons arm retracted and reconnected with it's body. "Brother!" Mika screamed. Zander's tears were overflowing. "No! It's all coming true. Liz is going to-" he didn't finish his sentence before his sobs continued.

Knox and Azure were frozen with fear. "No...no..no..no...no!" I screamed frantically. My hands glowed. I tried to heal him as fast as I could, but the bleeding didn't stop. Memories flashed in my head. Gloxinia.......Drole.......Sariel.....Tarmiel..........Gerheade.....

"Don't leave me! I can't lose anyone else! Please! Ace, you have to live!" He looked up at me and smiled softly.

"I'm sorry...take care of...the... children...Y/N...," slowly the light of life left his eyes. "Ace...." I muttered his name as I stood up. "Children, look away. Keep watch of the south while I deal with this demon in the north,"

"Yeah! We will!" Knox, the oldest of the four answered for them. "Come on guys, look this way and don't look back. Y/N's going to take care of the big, scary demon," Knox continued to explain.

I threw my hand up in the air, forming thousands of light daggers. "Die!" I screamed, sending all of the daggers its way. "Ah! Y/N! It's another demon!" Azure yelled in fear, holding onto Zander. "Wait! Don't- Y/N's going to get hurt!" Zander cried.

The red demon's hand was coming down to smack me away. The new, grey demon was about to attack the children. With a scream I shouted. "Ark!" A ball of light surrounded the four children. The arm crashed down on me, pushing me into the ground. My wings were definitely going to hurt.

The ark protected the children from the attack and floated them out of the way. "Children, get home safe and sound! Don't forget that I love all of you! I'm sorry that I have to do this. If I never see you again-" I paused to look up at the children.

They were all banging on the ark. None of their tears stopped. They could have made a waterfall with their tears. "Y/N!" Mika cried. "You can't leave us! What will the village do without you!" Knox cried out.

I gave them a small smile. "Make sure to protect eachother. Thank you for changing my life. Ace....Sariel...watch over them for me," my voice cracked. "Now go!" I sent the ark off. It floated off towards their home village.

"They should be safe now....I need....to find...Meliodas a-and Liz..." with all my strength I sent a large spear of light into the red demon. It fell to the ground, freeing me from it's grasp. My wings were bent, but somehow I managed to get them to fly me away from the two demons.

Suddenly, a searing pain went through my left arm. My wings suddenly gave out and I fell to the ground. Tears fell from my eyes at the sudden realization.

"But each of those dates is a day that Elizabeth or I died,"

"No! It's all coming true. That means that Liz is going to-"

I remembered Meliodas and Zander's words. "Hah! Hahahahahaa!" I began to laugh uncontrollably. "Ace and Liz are dead! Hah! Could this world possibly take anything more from me? Go on! Take whatever else you want from me! Hahaaaa!"

I could feel my sanity slip away. The demon marks crawled up to my collar bone. "Haahaa! It's an ironic end; for both of them to be killed by demons. The very race I tried to protect! Hahhahaaha!" The tears fell from my eyes uncontrollably. When I finally came back to my senses I cried.

"What on Earth is happening to me. Every time this curse spreads, I feel like I'm loosing my sanity. I'm going insane, aren't I? My grace.....is slowly leaving me as well...am I-

I shook my head to cease those thoughts! I had to find them. I concealed my wings and tried to get up. "Ahhhhhh!!" I heard a yell. "Meliodas..." I muttered.

"I'm sorry.....it seems like I can't protect anything I care about....right.... Zeldris?"
