Chapter 25
Y/N P.O.V
A sudden haze lifted over my vision. The only thing I could see was a the sky, all around me. It was as if I was floating.
"You're alive. I'm glad," a familiar voice echoed past me. I turned around to find no one. My eyes darted all around the area. Yet, I couldn’t find anyone.
That voice was one I could never forget. It was the very voice that belonged to my brother.
"Sariel! Sariel, please answer me!" My cries echoed. "Sorry sister, I don't have much time. But there's no need to worry. We'll meet again very soon, trust me,"
His voice faded out as my pleas increased.
.......
"Sariel!" I shouted, jumping up from my sleep. My breath hitched as I tried to catch my breath. Shivers ran down my spine as soon as I sensed a large power level, Zeldris's power level close to it.
"LUDOCIEL!" I growled. I jumped out of my bed, unleashing my wings. I opened the window and flew out. All I had to do was trace the magical power source.
Slowly, I saw a shrine start to form in the distance. I could tell that Ludociel had taken control of a vessel, non other than Princess Marget.
I raised my hand above my head, forming a spear. I sent it towards him. The split second before it would've pierced his skin, he drew his sword and hit it away. His gaze turned to face me, a small smirk forming.
"Y/N? So you're still alive it seems, Sariel will be relieved, " he spoke suddenly. "Ludociel, it appears that you've returned, how repulsive," I shot back at him. I flew down to the shrine and landed, taking small steps, I formed a sword.
"Y/N! Don't harm him! He's possessing Margaret's body!" Gilthunder cried. "There's no need to worry. I have already taken that into consideration. Marget will not be killed, Ludociel will be the only one harmed since he is currently in possession," I answered.
A let out a quiet laugh, the demon marks to return and take full control. My eyes went black and a sickening smile was formed. "Your curse still seems to be in effect. I assume that you're aware of what will happen if you let that demons power run rampant in your veins,"
I nodded. "I do, I'll slowly die. Nerobasta explained it all to me before Derieri ended her spirit form," I explained. "But quite frankly, I just can't hold back anymore. I've always had such a burning hatred for you!" I laughed.
"It appears that you're far gone," Ludociel sighed. "If you stand in our way than the only salvation we can give you is death. Sariel will understand. Y/N has fallen to the side of the Demon Race and she is no longer the kind goddess we once knew," he stated.
"I assume that the Demon you mentioned all that time ago, was Prince Zeldris. After all, you came straight to his aid. How naive of you," Ludociel smirked.
Suddenly, the attack that Ludociel had sent out earlier, bursted away. My attention was turned to face it. Right there in the middle of the explosion, was Zeldris. "Those darn arch-angel bastards! So you've been resurrected as well, is that it!" Zeldris raised his sword in a fury. "Dies Irae!"
The moment the words left his mouth, I flew out if the target zone immediately. Clouds parted, revealing a purple hue. Ludociel gasped, his eyes going wide. A lazer shot down at the shrine with a great power. The shrine slowly fell apart and was reduced to nothing more than dust.
I flew beside Zeldris, watching with a smile. "Thank you for that. They were getting quite annoying," I simply spoke. Zeldris turned to face me with a concerned expression. Immediately, he caught sight of the Demon Markings.
He cupped my cheek gently and spoke. "It's alright. I've dealt with them," he spoke. I tilted my head to the side. "They hurt you. That's something that I can't forgive," I spoke.
"I understand that, but I'm alright. I need you to calm down," Zeldris spoke again. Suddenly, I began to cough violently. I fell down to my knees and covered my mouth with my hand. When I pulled my hand away black blood layed on my palm.
Zeldris kneeled down to my side. "Y/N! Hey, talk to me!" He cried. I wiped away the blood on my mouth. "I'm fine. We have to make sure they're all dead!" I shouted.
I tried to stand up, but a strong force on my shoulders, brought me back down. "Listen to me! It's alright if they aren't dead because we're alright, aren't we?!" Zeldris yelled.
My eyes widened slightly. "You need to listen to me. If you stay like this any longer- the less time you have to live!" He cried, small tears forming in his eyes.
All of the sudden, all the rage left me, the demon marks calming and my eyes returning to their shade of E/C. "H-how did you know about that?" I stuttered, my own tears falling.
Zeldris looked down at the ground, a shadow covering his expression. "I always have," my eyes widened. "I never said anything as to not frighten you," he addmitted.
"Zeldris, I'm... s-sorry-! I keep letting my anger get the best of me!" I cried. "I need to learn how to control it! B-but every time I even think about you getting hurt-" I bit my quivering lip. "-it hurts me so much. Everyone's always protected me and a lot of them are dead now. Gloxinia, Drole, Ace, Meliodas, Liz, Sariel. They all died for me!" I cried.
"I don't want that to happen to you," I wailed. "If I lost you- I'd loose everything! I don’t want to loose you, ever!" I couldn't stop the tears. Zeldris looked up at me for one second before immediately pulling into a tight hug.
"I never want to loose you either. I promise that I'll find a way to save you. Once I become the Demon King, we should be able to find an answer," he spoke again, tightening his grip.
"I kept my first promise and I'll keep this one!" I felt something wet touch my head. I looked up slightly to see tears rolling down Zeldris's face, his green eyes showing.
"Zel....," I muttered, cupping his face in my hands, resting my forehead on his. "You don't have to bear this alone because I'll be here, right by your side," I smiled. "I'm not going anywhere and I'll do my best to help you in any way I can," I added with a soft chuckle.
"But why?" I looked up at Zeldris with a confused look. "Why of all people, did you choose to stay with me?" His voice cracked softly, as he placed his head in my chest, muffling his sobs.
"Dummy," I laughed. "Don't you get it?" I chuckled softly. "I love you, Zeldris," I smiled. Slowly, his shocked green eyes met mine, an evident blush on his cheeks.
"I've loved you for 3000 years and I'm not going to stop now," I smiled. I blinked, more tears falling. "No matter what obstacles stand in our way- even if its death, the Demon King, heck, even Cusack-" I laughed.
"I'll always find my way back to you, I promise," I smiled brightly, despite the tears. Zeldris pulled me into his chest, burrying his face in my hair. I felt more tears fall onto me, but I didn't care. My arms wrapped around Zeldris tightly.
We both pulled back, our eyes puffy from the never ending tears that fell. Slowly, Zeldris began to lean in. I followed slowly. Our lips met eachothers. I cupped his cheeks and Zeldris hugged me tightly.
We both pulled away after a short while. I stood up and held out my hand. "My prince, I suppose we should be heading back before Cusack sends out a search party," I joked.
Zeldris took my hand and stood up. We both allowed our wings to fall. Slowly, I took his hand in mine. With a smile and a nodd, we took off towards Camelot Castle, hands entertwined.
.......
I may or may not have been tearing up as I wrote that-
