Chapter 2

Y/N P.O.V

At sunset, I left that night. When I had returned to the small hut Sariel and I lived in, the moon was high in the sky. I didn't wish to wake my brother. That is, if he was resting in the first place. The window located in my room, should theoretically be unlocked. I never locked it.

I crouched down on the window sill as I carefully lifted the window and entered. "Sister," the familiar voice came. Behind me was my brother, Sariel. On his face was a disappointed expression. I glanced down at the ground. "Where were you? I understand that you aren't fond of Ludociel-"

I groaned loudly. "Sariel! I have my reasons. There's just something about him....h-he just can't be trusted. I just- have a bad feeling about him!" I raised my voice. Sariel suddenly went silent. I gasped softly, my hands cupping my mouth. "I'm sorry Sariel. I shouldn't have raised my voice. Please continue. I may not trust Ludociel, but I love you brother! Explain away!" I smiled.

"We are in an official war now. You may no longer keep neglecting these meetings. All four of the arch-angels, including me, are forming a plan. You didn't miss anything important today, but that won't always be the case," Sariel explained, an unreadable expression clear on his face.

I nodded. "I understand, brother. I'll do my best to attend the next one. You seem tired. This must have been a busy day for you. Please, get some rest," I walked to him, patting his head softly. "H-hey!" His voice cracked softly.

I whistled a soft melody. "What? I couldn't hear anything? Is there a tiny mouse speaking to me?" I spoke dramatically, yet a playful tone. "You're not much taller than me! You're barely even taller than Meliodas!"

I chuckled softly, giving him a soft smile. Sariel was my younger brother by only a year. Although, many would mistake him for my older brother. He was much more mature than I was, after all.

"Goonight, Sariel. I'll see you again in the morning," I smiled, waving at him as he closed the door to my room. A soft sigh left me while I made my way to my window. A soft breeze blew, my [F/C] dress flowing behind me. "I'll be seeing you tommorow as well, Zeldris the mysterious demon,"

¤~The Morning~¤

The morning sun rose again as it did every day. The hut was oddly quiet. I walked out of my room and into Sariel's. He was gone. Small white feathers littered the floor around the window. "So he went out...he could have at least told me," I puffed out my cheeks.

I giggled softly, opening the door excitedly. A gust of wind blew into the house. "Adventure, here I come!" I took a single step off of the tree where Sariel's and I's hut was located. The tree was tall and grand, lush with green leaves. The leaves rustled in the wind. I fell down to the ground, the wind encasing my small figure.

Once I was close to the ground, my proud, white wings flew out, abruptly stopping my fall. "Yeah! Now, that was fun!!" I cheered happily. "[Y/N!" A voice shouted from below. I smiled brightly. Anyone would recognize that head of blonde hair. "Meliodas!" I flew down to him.

"How'd that meeting go yesterday? I know that I....well- sort of left you all to fend for yourselves in Ludociel's boring talk," Meliodas shrugged his shoulders before bringing them back down as soon as they rose. "It certainly was boring. I almost fell asleep," he yawned for 'dramatic effect'

I laughed happily. "Oh~ and I'm sure Elizabeth was the only one keeping you awake, you little pervert~" I teased. "Of course!" Meliodas exclaimed, giving me a thumbs up. "Is that something to be proud about?" My head cocked to the side, my mouth forming a small 'o'.

"Sir Meliodas, there you are!" Elizabeth came into view, flying through the trees. "Oh, hello [Y/N]! Did Lord Sariel speak with you about the meeting?"

"He sure did," I deadpanned. My [E/C] twitched, remembering what I considered to be a talk that bored me to death. "Oh!" I suddenly remembered. "I have a friend that I promised to meet with!" My eyes widened.

I flew up into the air, my wing surrounding me. "If Sariel asks where I am, just tell him I went for a fly," I waved goodbye to the small group. I stopped abruptly. A large magical presence was heading this way.

Before I could even blink, a band wrapped around my throat. I gagged; looking down to see none other than Ludociel. He gasped, releasing my neck from his powerful grip. "I'n sorry, [Y/N]. I mistook you for-" he paused to think about his words. "Someone else..."

"Hey-" Ludociel was gone in the blink of an eye. "Double hey! You could at least explain to meeee!!" My voice drowned into the forest, the birds started, flying away at the loud sound.

.........
"I could have sworn I felt a dark magical power, but it was only Sariel's sister.....could I have been mistaken?" Ludociel muttered to himself.

Third Person P.O.V

I didn't waste much time. A rush of adrenaline pumped through her. Her excitement could barely be contained. As the group decided, the trio met once again. Zeldris wasn't fond of the goddess at first. She was loud and friendly to an.....enemy? This didn't sit right with him.

However, the trio slowly grew closer. Zeldris grew to enjoy the goddess's company. She never failed to make Gelda smile and laugh. The demon never smiled or laughed, but instead, there was an odd...warm feeling? It was a feeling Zeldris couldn't comprehend.

Many months later, this tradition still carried on. [Y/N] tackled the demon into a hug as soon as she returned to the small clearing. Her arms wrapped around his neck. There it was again- that warm feeling.

"I missed you, Zel! I know I'm a little late, today. I couldn't get away from Sariel. I missed another meeting and now he's upset with meee," she puffed out her cheeks. "He's really evil sometimes...."

She slowly pulled away to look at his stern face curiously. "You haven't said anything....are you okay?" [Y/N] inquired. Zeldris shook his head. "Not at all. I'm better now...in fact," he whispered his last sentence.

A smirk plastered itself onto the goddesses face. "I heard that~" She teased before flying down to the small lake in the clearing. "Hey Zeldris;" she called out. He gave a soft hum.

"Could...you train me?" She asked. The demon was confused. "Why?" She stood up and stomped gently to him. "To protect you and Gelda, of course!" She put her hands on her hips. "Why me? I'm a member of the demon race. I'm sure that Sariel could teach you-"

"You dummy," Gelda walked into the clearing. "She obviously wants you to train her so go on and train her. Does it really matter if she's a goddess?" Gelda smirked at [Y/N]. Gelda had discovered the goddesses crush on the demon early on. As a fellow female, she could pick up on the signs that Zeldris was clueless too. "G-Gelda!" [Y/N]'s face was bright red.

Zeldris grumbled softly before caving. "Very well. I'll train you. I won't be able to do much, but I can try my best," Zeldris gave a soft smile. [Y/N] gasped. "You smiled!" She exclaimed.

"H-huh? Is that a bad thing?" Zeldris muttered. She shook her head, taking his hands in hers. She hovered a couple inches off the ground, bending down to his forehead, giving him a quick peck. "Just the opposite! I've just never seen you smile before. I absolutely love your smile, Zel!" She t

From that one day, Zeldris knew what that warm feeling was. He was much more open with the goddess. He's explained that he was Meliodas's brother, which shocked her greatly. "Huh?! How? I mean- Meliodas is a total pervert!"

Gelda had stopped coming as often. She was the daughter of the leader of the vampire clan. She had many duties to do. However, whenever she came, they were all attempts to get the two to confess their feelings for eachother. It was painfully obvious, but the demon and goddess were completely oblivious.

....They were all happy....

......Until news of a Holy War came about......
