Chapter 18
Y/N P.O.V
I silently watched the battle as it commenced. My eyes widened at the sight of Escanor gaining his muscles? "What?!" I exclaimed in shock. A grand light shone brightly. It almost rivaled the sun. "That power! Magic like this rivals Estarossa's!"
My eyes widened. "What?! How could someone even come close to Estarossa's power level!?" I exclaimed. "Impossible," Drole muttered. All of us were in utter shock, unsure of what was about to ensue.
"Now look at this! That's what I call an unexpected comeback! This is what a festival is all about!" Gloxinia gushed with a huge smile on his face.
"For the great sin of toying with other's hearts, you will now atone with your flesh!" Escanor shouted proudly. Gowther summoned his own magic arrow and attacked. They both attacked at the same time, emitting a bright light.
I heard Gloxinia gasp. He immediately wrapped his arms around me protectively. Before any of us had time to react, the attack had reached us, blinding us all.
Jericho shouted at Gowther with tears in her eyes. "How can you still say that?! That is what was really in Escanor's heart!" She pointed down at us.

Gowther glanced down at the scene in front of him. Where the trio stood was a huge crater. Drole lay unconscious and Gloxinia was unconscious, but he held Y/N's unconscious body in his arms. Gowther looked back at Escanor with a blank expression, unsure of what to think.
Drole slowly opened his eyes and grit his teeth. 'How?! We were so distracted by the festival that we didn't even think that he could be aiming at us!' Drole thought.
Ban looked around and was shocked to see Meliodas in the middle of all the action. Drole and Meliodas began to engage in a fight.
While the two spoke, Gowther held Escanor in his arms. "Why would you do this?" He asked. Escanor slowly opened his eyes and tried his best to speak. "Gowther, even if you don't have a heart, you're one of my fellow friends in the Seven Deadly Sins...I couldn't let them get away with toying with my friends heart," he explained.
"Although, I fear that I may have hurt another fellow comrade in the process," he closed his eyes again with a sigh. "You're contradicting yourself," Gowther replied. "Have you forgotten that I still have no heart?" Escanor chuckled softly. "Really? Are you sure?"
Gloxinia summoned up the courage and was able to use his Droplet of Life. He chuckled softly as he sat up. He sat you up and used the Droplet of Life again. He let out a sigh of relief as he saw you open your eyes.

"Gloxinia?" I mumbled. I looked out to see Drole and Meliodas engaged in a fight. Something inside of me snapped. I chuckled michivously and pushed myself to my feet. Make him bleed. The demon markings continued to mess with my mind.
"Sorry Gloxi, but I can't just stand by and watch you both have all the fun~" I snickered. The demon markings crawled up my neck and I laughed. Setting my wings free, I flew over.
Gloxinia sighed, but he knew that there was no way of stopping me when the curse was in effect.
Drole took all of the participants hostage. Just as Meliodas went to attack Drole, Gloxinia got in the way and pushed Meliodas back.
"Oh my, I sure came close to departing for the afterlife," the fairy laughed. "Don't worry, I'll heal you soon Drole. Just be patient, we'll turn this battle around," abruptly, Gloxinia's armor shattered.
"Give it up," Meliodas snarled. "You three don't stand a chance," he added, his weapon bared and ready for battle. "I remember the four of us once joined forces to defeat the Demon King and now we're enemies. Fate sure is twisted, huh?" Gloxinia chuckled.
I didn't quite understand, but I had connected it with my lost memories. Meliodas did seem familiar, so the theory wasn't that farfetched. "Meliodas, I want you to tell me the truth. You don't really want to fight us to the death now do you?"
"Of course I don't. I know why you all crossed over to that side and how you felt about it," Meliodas began to walk closer.
"Gloxinia, you were betrayed by the people you trusted and lost something more precious than your own life,"
"Drole, you were a warrior that always wanted to be the best, but then your pride was ripped to shreds,"
"Y/N, you fell in love with a demon and lost your memories prior, leaving you lost to the twisted words of others,"
Gloxinia looked down at Meliodas with a saddened look. "If you know all that, then why do this?" Meliodas came closer with every step.
"That's simple..."
"Once you switch sides....."
"It's over!"
Meliodas lunged towards us with a battle cry. "Well, isn't that unfortunate!!" I cried out and sent a large beam of explosive light in his direction. Meliodas was blasted away.
Gloxinia healed Drole in the split second we had. In a second, Meliodas was on his way back, blasting through any rock in his path.
"Just a few more seconds," Gloxinia growled. "Cursed vine tree!" He sent a large tree giant to subdue Meliodas. "I'm not waiting for you!" Meliodas cut straight through the tree giant and threw a punch straight at Gloxinia's gut.
"Drole!" I cried out. I flew quickly and wrapped Gloxinia in my arms before Meliodas could hurt him. Drole put his hands together and used his ability against Meliodas. "Giga crush!" All of the rocks raised up and knocked Meliodas into the air. "Giga fall!" All of the rocks came crashing down on top of Meliodas.
In a split second, Meliodas had gained the upper hand. Drole was covered in blood. When Gloxinia was finally conscious again, he used the Droplet of Life on himself again and then Drole.
Meliodas went back at Gloxinia again and knocked him down to the ground. Drole was also brought down. I made a sword out of light and flew down to Meliodas, when I was about to strike him, his sword met mine and sparks flew.
We exchanged blow after blow, occasionally giving eachother wounds. I jumped back and sent lots of tiny light spears to rain down on him. Meliodas moved to dodge it, but then quickly ran towards me and punched me in the gut.
I was sent flying back, but someone had caught me. "Meliodas, you're both as powerful and as naive as ever," Gloxinia said between breaths before letting me go. "Why do you side with those pathetic humans when you have so much power among the demons?"
Drole wiped the blood away from his mouth. "If you chose to stay with the demon race, you have the power to succeed the demon king, but not on the path you're on. I can see the horrific end for you because you choose to cling to sentimentality," the giant sighed.
"If all that suffering has changed you this much, why not let me end your suffering for you!" Meliodas raised his sword to the sky. "Meliodas don't!" I cried.
Before anything could happen, a tremendous magical aura filled the area. Dirt rose around us as something came into contact with it. When the dirt cleared my eyes widened. There were the other seven of the Ten Commandments, surronding Meliodas.
As the battle commenced, Meliodas' situation seemed to get worse. His two arms were pulverized from Dereirri's attacks. Dreyfus released his attack and caused multiple scars on Meliodas.
For some reason, all I could do was watch. This felt wrong. Hurt him. Kill him! My curse ran effective. I could feel the tears fall down my face. I wasn't even sure why I was crying!
Meliodas is so kind, but he's a traitor to the demon race!
.....Kill him.....
..Kill him..
Kill him
Kill him!
I shook my head. "No!!" I shrieked, falling to my knees, holding my head in an attempt to silence the thoughts.
"Yo! N/N!"
....That was Meliodas's voice....
!!(Play music above for added feels)!!
.............
"Meliodas!" I waved at the blonde with a smile. He waved back at me. "Yo! N/N!" I chuckled softly as I stood in the kitchen of the Boar Hat with my arm crossed. "Nu uh!" I shook my head.
"You are not cooking. You'll kill all the customers and scare them away. I'm pretty sure that Hawk is the only one that will even go near your food and that's because he eats anything!" I laughed.
"Oh come onnn," Meliodas whined. "I'm not that bad," I tried to contain my laughter. "Tell that to the customers-" he pouted playfully. "Y/N!!"
"I'm cooking no matter what you say. Consider me, working here permanently to save everyone from your non-edjble food!"
...........
My eyes widened. I stood up and looked down at my arm. The demon markings had receded down to my collar bone again.
...I almost wish that I'd never had looked up...
Meliodas was on the ground with Estarossa above him. Meliodas's screams pained me. My tears fell down like a waterfall. "Stop it!" I cried. "Estarossa stop it! I'm begging you!"
He held Meliodas up by his neck. "In reality, it was you that started the war 3000 years ago," Estarossa smirked. "But now, you have a whole new group to betray. I bet you're waiting in anticipation, waiting when to betray them," he pushed Meliodas to the ground.
Melascula floated over to the scene once Gloxinia had restored her body. "Let me deal with him,"
That one sentence made my blood boil. As she tried to steal his soul, he resisted. She stopped for a brief second. In the next second, she was dead. Ban appeared and ripped out all of her hearts. Part of me cried out in relief, but I didn't know why. Ban walked towards Meliodas and smirked. "You moron...why..did you come..here?" Meliodas rasped.
"Melascula tried to eat my brothers soul without my permission. She got what she deserved," Estarossa replied. "Yeah sure," Ban glanced at him. I stood beside Zeldris watching the whole thing. I looked over at Ban with an almost thankful look.
Ban helped the captain stand up, but Estarossa immediately thrust a sword into one of his hearts. "No!" I tried to run to him, but Zeldris caught me and held me down. "Zel let me go!" I held out my hand, trying to form something. Anything! I had to help him! Meliodas!
..........
"And the alliance is formed!" Ludociel smiled as he announced the alliance. "Meliodas the demon, Gloxinia the fairy, Drole the giant, and Elizabeth the goddess have all come together. Together, we will destroy the demon king!"
I smiled brightly as I glanced down at my younger brother. "We're off towards a better future, Sariel. I'm so happy," I smiled. "Y/N!" I looked behind me to see none other than Elizabeth.
"There's someone that I would like you to meet," Elizabeth gestured to the small blonde beside her. "This is Meliodas!" I nodded and held out my hand to shake his. "My name is Y/N, it's a pleasure to meet you Meliodas," I smiled brightly.
"Pretty name! And a pretty big chest too," he smirked. A blush covered my cheeks. I hid behind Elizabeth and shouted. "Pervert!" Elizabeth chuckled.
"I suppose that I should of mentioned that Meliodas is like that," Elizabeth laughed. I glanced over at Sariel to see a burning rage in his eyes. "You dare look at my sister! I'll kill you!" Sariel shouted. I immediately shook my head as Sariel threw himself at Meliodas.
"Bad brother! No killing the perve-" I stopped myself. "I mean Meliodas! Down Sariel!" I tried to pry him off Meliodas. Elizabeth laughed at the whole exchange with one of the brightest smiles on her face.
..........
Estarossa plunged another sword into Meliodas's second heart. "I won't let you kill him!" Ban yelled as he wrapped his arms around Estarossa's neck as he tried to stop him.
"Three"
I thrashed around, trying to get free of Zeldris's grip. "Meliodas!! No!! Stop it! Please!" I shrieked. I eventually elbowed Zeldris in the gut which allowed me to get free.
"Four"
I ran forward immediately. "Stop it! I won't let you!" Ban tried to hit him even harder.
"Five"
"Hunter fest!" Ban stole Estarossa's strength, but it wasn't enough. "Stop that's enough!" Ban cried, the tears falling.
"Six"
I was almost there, but I felt a pull at my wrist. They pulled me straight into their chest. "Let me go! I-I have to save him! I can't let him die! I can't loose anyone else! I won't let anyone else die! I can't! I can't! I can't!"
"Meliodas!" I cried out his name, still trying to get free, but I was too late.
"Seven"
My cries stopped. My eyes were wide. My body went limp. "You're being too noisy," Ban's body was destroyed. My eyes went dull. It was as if I had lost my only light.
Zeldris pulled my head into his chest. I layed my hands on his chest as I let my tears fall. The demon marking began to spread. It burned, but it didn't hurt. Nothing would hurt more than the loss of a friend.
............
There we go. What I think is the most emotional scene in the Seven Deadly Sins. I wanna go cry now-
I tried to make it as emotional as I could. Hopefully that worked-
