Chapter 13

Y/N P.O.V

"There's something I need to take care of. Don't do anything stupid," Zeldris spoke to me. I latched onto him tightly. "I don't want you to goooo," I whined. "But fineee," I got off of him and pat his head. "You better not do anything stupid either!"

"I won't," he nodded. He turned to face Gloxinia and Drole. "Watch after her," he gave one last instruction before heading out. "Why watch me? I'm capable of handling myself!" My cheeks puffed out as they normally did.

The fairy king gestured to the other Ten Commandments around us. "Mainly because they're around. They would eat your soul the moment you turned your back," he spoke as if he was telling a ghost story. "My soul? Would that even taste good?" I tilted my head.

"Hey! Tiny goddess!" Galand put his shoulder on my head. "You wouldn't happen to remember any places with good booze, would you? I haven't had a drink in 3000 years! I need some good quality booze!" He cheered.

Melascula suddenly appeared behind him. "I do too. It's been too long since I last had it," she whined. "Booze?" I spoke slowly. "What is that exactly?" I asked, a clueless expression.

The two of them looked as if they'd seen a ghost. "What?! You don't know what booze is? Galand! You know what we need to do," she looked at him and nodded. Galand nodded as well. "I understand! Let our mission begin!" The two left in a hurry.

"Gloxiniaaa, what's booze?" I looked up at him. He sighed. "Alcohol, but I can't blame you for not knowing what it is. We were pretty much in the middle of a forest. Besides, none of us were addicted to booze like some," he explained. I nodded. "Okay!"

It was a couple hours before the two commandments returned. In their hands were buckets and barrels. "We found some! We took all the booze the town had! We got souls and booze! Two birds with one stone!" Galand cheered.

Melascula poured some into her cup and drank. Her eyes lit up. "In 3000 years they seem to have upgraded their booze!" She cheered. Galand handed me a cup and smiled. "You won't regret it. You've never had it, so consider it a present," he laughed.

I took a sip and my eyes widened. "It tastes really familiar, but it's so good!" I exclaimed.

When Gloxinia returned a little later, he stopped dead in his tracks. "Drole, we have a problem," he flew to the giant king. "What kind of problem?" The giant asked with an eyebrow raised.

"Zeldris is going to kill us....." Gloxinia sighed. "We left her for ten minutes and she got herself drunk!" He panicked. "What do you mean she's drunk?" Drole asked. "She's drunk, means that she's drunk, Drole! Melascula and Galand destroyed a town for booze and brought it back here," the fairy explained with a deadpan expression.

Drole sighed and rubbed the back of his neck. "That is a problem.....we're definitely dead," Drole's eye twitched.

Gloxinia returned to where the three of us were and sighed. "Y/N-" he called out. I looked up at him with a dazed look before hugging him tightly. "Woahhhh," I gasped. "Your wings look like a RAINBOW!" I shouted. "They're sooooo prettyyy," I smiled while gently poking his wings.

"That tickles," he chuckled before putting me down. "How many fingers am I holding up?" Gloxinia held up seven fingers in front of my face. "Four! Wait! Where are the rest of your fingers?! You lost them, didn't you!?" I exclaimed, taking his hands and individually counting his fingers.

Gloxinia sighed. "Correction: she's very drunk," his eye twitched. Drole laughed at the two of us. "I want Zeldris," I muttered. "Zeldris isn't here right now, Y/N," Gloxinia tried to explain softly, but I started crying.

"He's gone again!" I cried. "Hey- there's no need to cry- um...he'll be back soon-" Gloxinia stuttered, trying frantically to stop my tears.

"Why is she crying?" I quickly turned around to see Zeldris. I smiled brightly and wrapped my arms around his neck tightly. "Zeldris! You're back!" I gasped. "You have wings too!" I gently caressed his dark wings. When I looked up at Zeldris again, he had a hand over his mouth.

"Your cheeks are really red," I gently took his hand off of his mouth and leaned in really close. "Are you sick or something?" I asked. Zeldris was a blushing mess before he cleared his throat.

"What happened? Y/N smells of alcohol," Zeldris suddenly spoke. "Melascula and Galand found booze!" I exclaimed. "I can't even leave you all for four hours. I told you two to watch her and now all three of them are drunk," he deadpanned.

Suddenly I had a thought. "Zel! Do you think darkness is flammable?" I asked. He turned to have a panicked expression. "You are not setting anything on fire-" before he could finish I had already flown to Melascula.

"Can we see if darkness is flammable? Zeldris wouldn't let me set his wings on fire," I pouted. Melascula looked down at me with her half lidded eyes. "He's no fun. Let's go find some fire!" She exclaimed. We both ran over to Monspeet.

"Can you try and set the darkness around Melascula on fire?" I asked. Monspeet looked extremely confused, but before he could reply, Zeldris grabbed my wrist and dragged me away. "No fire," he said simply. "Nooooo!" I whined.

Suddenly, I just felt really dizzy. I looked up at Zeldris and yawned. "I'm tired," I mumbled. He pulled me over to a small tree and sat under it. "Then rest. I'll stay with you," he explained. I laid down on his lap and gently grabbed one of his hands in mine.

"I can't explain it, but this....feels familair....you feel so familiar....whenever I'm around you, I feel so happy," I mumbled quietly before closing my eyes and falling asleep.

When I opened my eyes again, my head was pounding. The stars were out and the moon was high. I sat up slowly. Wait....I looked at where I had been resting and then up at Zeldris. My cheeks went bright red once I realized that I was doing.

I covered my mouth quickly to silence my squeak of surprise. I looked up at Zeldris's sleeping features. He looked so peaceful. I placed a hand over my chest. It had started beating so fast and I didn't know why.

It was always like that when I was near the demon prince. I could never explain it....I always felt warm and happy around him. It was like I felt connected to him. I wanted to hug him tight and never let go.

I leaned closer and studied his sleeping features. He just looked so cute and peaceful, fragile. I could feel the blush on my cheeks returning. "Just what were we before I lost my memories...."

As soon as I whispered that, he stirred slightly. "I'm not sure..." I heard him mumble. His eyes slowly opened to look at me. Once I realized how close I was, I immediately pulled back. "We were a goddess and a demon that met up every day, but we never fought. Gelda was our closest friend and she would come often to visit us,"

"For some reason, back then, we acted just like how we do now. There was a time when we both got caught in the rain and you caught a cold," He chuckled softly at the memory. My eyes widened.

"I want to get my memories back. I want to be able to remember all the times that I spent with you!" I exclaimed, scooping both his hands in mine as I held them to my chest.

"I always feel so warm when I'm around you. The moment I saw you, I was so happy. I thought that I would cry. I don't know what caused that feeling, but it's always here. Even without my memories, I just feel so happy when I'm around you. My heart starts to beat faster and I never want to let you go," I chuckled softly.

A small dust of pink tinted Zeldris' cheeks. He smiled softly and pulled my head to his chest. His chin rested on my head while he muttered. "You childish, slightly perverted goddess," Zeldris chuckled.

I wrapped my arms around his waist and snuggled into his chest. His own arms wrapped around my waist. It was silent, until I heard Zeldris mutter something barely above a whisper.

"I'll never leave you again......."

We didn't say anything else. We both closed our eyes and succumbed to sleep once again.

For some reason, I just had the urge to make a chapter where Y/N got drunk-

I thought it seemed cute okay! I was debating whether or not to skip when Meliodas confronted the commandments, but I decided to do a little 'filler' chapter on Y/N and Zeldris' relationship.

And I totally have something planned for when Meliodas confronts them....
