The mushrooms began to slowly move toward us. The biggest mushroom in the center released another cloud of spores. Wystan clapped his hands at the cloud of spores dispersing it, and knocking down some of the mushrooms. Ayita quickly retreated to a high up branch. The mushrooms began to get closer, and began to reach out their hands towards us. Wystan quickly tossed me up to a nearby branch.

Wystan: Shoot them master! I will distract them.

S.Y.S.T.E.M: User aim for the base of the mushroom's tops.

He then began to punch the mushrooms away from him. Several began to climb his back beginning to attempt to pull his stones off. I pulled back the string of my bow aiming at the base of one of the mushrooms. When my arrow made contact it pierced pierced through the base, severing the mushroom top off the creature killing it.

Wystan stomped his right foot launching spikes out of the ground skewering the creatures. However several began to swarm him ripping some stones off his back. He screamed before spikes shot out of his body slicing the base of the mushrooms off. I then shot several with more arrows some off target or completely missing.

S.Y.S.T.E.M: User remember accuracy over speed. As long as you kill the target effectively with the first shot you may move on quickly to the next.

I mentally nodded then took my time predicting where the mushrooms were moving, I began to dispatch them more quickly and soon only five remained. The remaining seeing they were losing screeched at us before retreating behind the giant mushroom. The giant mushroom began to shake before it to sprouted arms pulling itself up.

This mushroom was bigger than Wystan, who molded his knuckles into spikes ready to go toe to toe with the big mushroom. The giant mushroom roared before charging at Wystan who let out his own battle cry before charging. The remaining mushrooms had something in their hands that was releasing spores. I took this chance to try something, I held my bow sideways and pulled back the string.

Suddenly time froze and as I focused on the remaining mushrooms, a target appeared on all of them. When I blinked I released the string and five arrows launched killing the remaining mushrooms. When I looked back at Wystan he seemed to be able to hold his own against the giant mushroom. He was currently trading blows with the giant. It seemed the giant was beginning to falter due to Wystan's stone spikes stabbing deep into its body.

However the mushroom picked up Wystan and slammed him into the dirt. Some of his stone broke off but were beginning to be replaced with even stronger material. The giant seeing this began to apply pressure trying to crush him. It seemed Wystan's body wasn't doing to well since more stone began to fall off or begin to be crushed into dust.

Not even his spikes stabbing into it caused it to even loosen its grip. I pulled back my bow string and launched several arrows at its mushroom cap. But the arrows only embedded themselves into it, and the giant continued to crush Wystan. System where do I shoot this thing!?

S.Y.S.T.E.M: It seems to be using the mushrooms on it body as armor, however it seems to be weaker in its abdominal region. I suggest firing a powerful broadhead at its stomach.

I pulled back the string as far as it will go and the arrow began to form. The mushroom thinking Wystan has weakened lifted him up high in the air. It then began to crush him with both his hands. This however caused it to expose more of its stomach allowing me a perfect shot. I released the broadhead at its stomach effectively cutting through its armor and out the other side.

The force of the arrow knocked it on it's back effectively releasing Wystan. While he was falling Wystan aimed his knuckle spikes at its stomach stabbing deep into it. It was about to lift its arms to grab Wystan but I quickly shot two broadheads pinning its hands. Wystan took the opportunity to transform his right arm into a giant blade. He held up its head and raised his blade arm, bringing it down cutting off its head.

Wystan: Master are you alright?

Devan: (I am but what about you, didn't some of your body get crushed?)

Wystan: Don't worry for me master observe.

He raised his arms and stone began to come out of the ground, the stones began to attach to Wystan's damaged body. Once finished his stone body was repaired and seemed to be bigger and taller.

Devan: (That's very useful Wystan, but where's Ayita?)

Ayita: I'm right here! There aren't any more creatures close to the area.

Devan: (Good, now that our first battle is over let's search the creatures and area for anything useful.)

Wystan: Yes master!

Ayita: Right away!

We all split up in search of anything useful. So far we found some plants whose usage we don't know, some things that look like coins, and some bodies and covered in mushrooms. But when we looked in the hole where the giant mushroom was we saw a golden apple. When I touched it we were teleported back to the start where the paths split. But Ayita wasn't with us and we still had all the things we found.

Wystan: It seems our companion wasn't able to come with us. But we can't dwell on that we must get ready for our rest.

I didn't realize we spent so long in the forest. When I looked up the sun was already setting. Wystan was already preparing for his sleep so I began to collect some plants for my nest. I began to make my nest how I saw my mother do hers. It didn't take to long and it felt very comfortable, as I was about to sleep System spoke to me.

S.Y.S.T.E.M: Apologies user but I suggest seeing your skills for an update.

With that I went to sleep for preparation of the next path.
