Sincerely; [Insert Fake Name Here]

The last few days have been... educational, for Veronica, and she wasn't talking about school. In fact, she hadn't even been paying too much attention in school. Her mind was rather preoccupied with other things.

For one, the amount of people in the school getting arrested wasn't just a coincidence. So far, there was Heather Chandler, Rich Goranski, Jake Dillinger, JD and Elphaba Thropp. They had always been out because of the We'll Get Better app, and it always led them to where the murders had been.

It was too strong of a link to just be random chance. It was glaringly obvious.

Yet the police never seemed to believe. They always twisted her words when she tried to tell them about the link, or they used some stupid logic to get around it.

It was so ridiculous, it was almost laughable.

Which is why Veronica won't bother with the police anymore. She is going to catch whoever did this herself.

And with a couple of friends. Hey, it wasn't her fault, they volunteered.

Besides, she wouldn't have gotten all the information she did if Michael hadn't (somewhat) willing went to talk to Rich and Jake, and if Martha hadn't gotten JD's story, and if Jenna hadn't went to Elphaba.

Even Jared was helping out, and he was even doing with twenty percent less sarcastic and annoying comments than usual. And he was talking to Jenna now, though tentatively.

It was actually going somewhat well. Though Veronica knew it wouldn't last. With her 'Grand Plan', there was more of a chance of things going wrong than things going right.

Veronica's plan was this:

Veronica's Plan to Catch a Murderer

1. Annoy Techbehind by sending a lot of spam and accusing letters

2. Wait for Techbehind to finally get so annoyed they send her to find a dead body

3. Find the actual murderer and clear everyone's names

Admittedly, her plan was a little... not good in any regard (as Jared had decided to tell her every five minutes), but it should work. Hopefully, though, it was enough.

So far, between the five of them (Veronica, Jared, Michael, Jenna and Martha) they had sent a lot of emails. They had been doing this for two weeks now. Techbehind probably wasn't too happy with them by now. Veronica knew it was only a matter of time.

She especially knew when Ms Wormwood asked to speak with her after class.

Veronica knew that this could be about her slightly slipping grades, but, somehow, she didn't think that was the case.

It wasn't.

Ms Wormwood shuffled some papers around before she finally decided to speak with Veronica. She seemed to be thinking about what exactly to say. Veronica patiently waited.

Ms Wormwood sighed. "Veronica," she started. "Do you remember, a little over a month ago, when I talked about you fooling around with that app?"

Veronica thought it was a rhetorical question, but when Ms Wormwood didn't continue, she realized that her teacher was waiting for an answer.

"Yeah, I remember," she replied.

"Well, when I said 'don't fool around with the app' that wasn't an open invitation to start with the company," Ms Wormwood told her, not unkindly. "I didn't think I'd have to say this, but please just leave them alone. This is your last warning. If you continue, I hope you know that there will be consequences for you and your friends."

"I know," Veronica told her. And she did know. Veronica knew that very well.

That was what she was hoping for.

Perhaps Ms Wormwood saw something in her expression, because she sighed, saying "I'm serious, Veronica."

"I know," Veronica said again.

Ms Wormwood shook her head. She didn't quite believe Veronica yet. "Veronica, you will stop, right?"

"Of course," Veronica said. 'As soon as I catch the murderer.'

Ms Wormwood didn't look entirely convinced, but she nodded anyway. "Alright," she said. "You may go."

Veronica nodded, and left her teacher to her grading.

That was the newest email Veronica had sent. After a couple days, Veronica had stopped trying to put more brain cells then necessary. In fact, that was probably the best email she had sent in days.

And it was enough.

A sudden notification had been sent to her phone, from the WGB app. Veronica took a moment to celebrate, then opened it.

It read:

We'll Get Better: We've notice how you spend a lot of your time in doors, and recommend you get outside more. Please take our suggested route for the best scenic, relaxing experience. We promise you'll love to go outside after this!

Well, that totally wasn't suspicious at all. But Veronica had a feeling that they knew that. They knew she didn't trust them. That made sense.

Veronica jumped up, grabbing her coat and her phone. She didn't exactly know what else to take; there was probably something she needed but it wasn't coming to mind right now.

Veronica shook her head, trying to forget about it, and grabbed the doorknob to her door, preparing to turn it and start off on taking down the murder and Techbehind's reputation.

Then she paused.

Veronica has been trying so hard to get on Techbehind's radar, putting herself out there and being annoying. But never once had the thought occurred to her that they might have researched her. They might know her even better than she knew herself now.

They probably knew exactly was she was planning, what she was going to do.

And that made her hesitate, her hand slipping from her doorknob.

Based on... past experiences, this was probably what Techbehind was expecting. Her to just rush off, with no plan, no bail and no back up.

...Well, you know what?

Screw that, now Veronica was smarter than that, and although she really didn't enjoy doing this, she called Martha anyway. She'd just have to be... more carful than she would have been otherwise.
