A few more weeks had passed since Harin's arrival, and they all got used to his company by now.
Not much happened, everything seemed to be pretty peaceful.

They went on their daily hunts, had meetings like they usually would.
Everything seemed great.

Spring was starting to come, so the snow was melting away slowly and they could hear more of the birds singing their songs at the very early mornings.

The little den that Harin used to live in was rebuilt, and it was made much stronger and a little bigger. He was very thankful of it, and spent most of his time there if they all were lazing around not doing much.

The Alpha had gotten a hold of some paper and a pen, and he was attempting to fly out his letters to his mom.
But none of them seemed to come back.
He was confused, as his mother always wrote back.

He was currently outside, writing another note, when he heard the flapping of wings.
He looked up and saw a white bird, a small note in its beak.

He held up his hand and the bird landed on it, him taking the note from it.
"Thanks" He said to it, and let it fly again, watching it go before he turned his attention back to the note.

Harin unfolded it and saw his mothers handwriting, a small smile spreading on his face.

Hey hun,
I hope you're having a good life so far. Please be careful out in the wilderness, it's so incredibly dangerous out there.
I know you're an Alpha, but you're my son and I will continue worrying about you.

I was wondering if we could meet up? I wanted to see you, and I'll tell your father I'm going out to find some herbs or something.
Do you know the stream in the middle of the forest? Let's meet there. I'll be waiting for you, be careful when going there. I've noticed quite a lot of lone wolves attacking.

Harin tucked the note into his back pocket and got up, hearing footsteps.
"Hey! What're you doing out here all alone?" Kanghyun's voice came, him appearing beside him.

"Oh no, nothing. I was just sending a note" He said.
"To?"
"My mom. I'll probably go visit her, she wants to meet up anyway"

"Oh! Do you know where you're meeting up? We're going on a mission today, maybe we'll be passing the place where you'll be meeting!"

"We're meeting at the stream in the middle of the forest"
"Yeah, we'll be near there"
"Alright"

A few minutes later, Harin could see the others starting to come out, all in their human forms.
Harin put away his stuff quickly and then followed them on, patting his ears down so they were hidden.

It was very warm today, now that the breeze was disappearing so there was no need for them to be in their wolf forms.
They mostly went into them when they needed to fight, hunt or just simply hide from the cold.

They padded through the forest, Kanghyun and Dongmyeong stopping to collect some herbs along the way, the other 3 wolves keeping an eye around for any threats. Thankfully there was none.

They headed deeper into the forest, chatting as they walked, Harin in the back again as he sniffed around for his mothers scent- yet there was no sign of it.
It might have blended in with the flowers, since her scent too, was a flowery kind.

They walked further, the omegas collecting the herbs and Cya deciding he would go hunt down a small rabbit.

Suddenly, his nose picked up a scent- a rotten one.
He cringed at the awful smell, following it to see what was the issue.
He had to fight through some sharp vines, cutting himself a few times on them, but he managed to get through the dagger like vines.

Harin paused on what he saw.

He saw his mothers body, lying limp near the stream. Her face bore a large scar, which looked infected. And her clothes were stained with blood.

His heart literally sank.

He ran to her, stumbling a little, before dropping down beside her, quickly checking her pulse.
There was none.

His ears drooped and his tail curled in on him, his eyes started gathering tears in the edges of them, and a new - child like sparkle appeared in them.
His Alpha scent disappeared.

"M-mommy..?" He squeaked out, trembling and checking her pulse again, starting to get desperate.
"N-No.."

He gripped onto her, tears rolling down his cheeks.
"Please.. no.. wake up.."

"You killed your own mother.. how pathetic"

A voice sounded, a very rough one.
Harin recognised that voice from everywhere.
It was the nightmare that he had escaped from. It was back now.

"See that scar on her face? You did it. She didn't tend to it on time. You killed your own mother. What kind of son are you? Are you proud of yourself?"

Harin held her close, and sobbed into her small frame.
"I-I'm sorry, Mom.. A-All my fault.. " He cried.

I fucked up.
So bad.
I killed my own mother.
Why did I leave?
This is all my fault
Maybe my dad was right?
Maybe I shouldn't have left.
Maybe all that overworking was right for me.

My mom wouldn't be dead if I didn't leave. It's all my fault.
Bad.. Bad Harin..

A strong force knocked him off, and he was met face to face with his father, who looked like he aged a few years.

"I'm sure you're proud of yourself. Such a strong Alpha like you must be happy to take down a defenseless omega like her. So proud, huh? You could have prevented it. But no.. you acted on your own emotions. You are a sore excuse for an Alpha-"

"Hey! Get off him!"

Harin looked up quickly and saw Yonghoon, who looked both troubled and furious.
His father smirked and looked up.

"Oh, is that your 'Pack mate'? The pack full of gays?"

"Yeah we're a little fruity, and what about it? Atleast we don't act like complete idiots when it comes to leading a pack, asshole"

His father's smile fell quickly, and he got up from Harin.

"Another smartass. What are you? A delta.. another excuse of a wolf, where are your pack mates, huh?—"

"What's going on here..?"
Kanghyun had appeared, holding a basket of what seemed like herbs. Dongmyeong had appeared right behind him with a similar basket.

His father raised an eyebrow.
"These are the omegas they talked about. Huh. Surely could fit in my pack, would fit as good breeding wolves too"

Yonghoon perked up.
"What? Yeah no way. Go recruit someone else to your shitty pack. And say that again and I'll slice your dick off" Yonghoon snapped, pulling Kanghyun behind him, the same with Dongmyeong.
Cya had returned, and he noticed where they were, so he went to them.

"Harin. I expected more of you. You could've gone to the west side pack.. but no. You got mauled by this .. whatever this is"

He got a sharp kick to the side, groan rolling off his tongue.

Kanghyun growled, getting the attention of Harin's father.
"What are you growling at, you little skeletal rat? Have you seen yourself?"

Kanghyun fell silent.

"You look like a twig, I could snap you in half right now" He growled and started walking towards him.

"Leave him alone" Growled Harin from the ground, shaking as he got up, the last of tears slipping off his face.

"Not you talking"
"If you touch him.. I'll-"
"You'll what? Will you kill me, like you killed your mother? Harin, grow the fuck up. You're 25, and your only escape is to kill. Kill. What if one of these guys betray you? Will you kill them too?"

Dongmyeong had managed to slip past them, to Harin's mother.
He quickly checked over her wounds, and was surprised to see the huge bite and hand marks on her torso and hips.
He inspected them further, and he came to the conclusion.

Yes. The scar on her face was from Harin, but he concluded that the cut wasn't fatal. She couldn't have died from those.
However, the marks and bruises proved the death.

"Harin.. You didn't kill her"

Harin snapped his head to look at him.
"What?"

"The cut is from you, yeah. But she didn't die from that"

"Then.. then what caused.."

"It's obviously because of Harin, you idiot! Get away from that body before he goes crazy again!" His father rushed, snarling at Dongmyeong.

"Dongmyeong. Say"

"She was raped to death. Your fathers scent is.. all over her.."

Harin felt his stomach drop.

"You fucking asshole! That's—"

"You killed my mother"

The tension only grew, and the others were horribly uncomfortable. And afraid.

"You believe him?! YOU killed-"
"You killed my mom. YOU killed my mom. And you blame it on ME?"

His father grumbled.
"FINE! You fucker, we made her write the letter before I took her out. But while we're at this topic, why don't I tell you this"

"You were a mistake. Your mother never wanted kids. Never. I forced her to have one, but I regret it so bad. Both of you were pure garbage"

"YOU RAPED HER?!"

Yonghoon pushed Kanghyun back behind him a little, backing off aswell.
Cya motioned for Dongmyeong to quickly come over to him, so he did.

"YES! Happy?! Happy to know you were never meant to be here?!"

"You.. You lying sack of shit.. Not only did you force her into having me. You KILLED HER AND BLAMED IT ON ME?!"

Harin's eyes flashed a gold colour, and his father's a red colour.

"I DID! I DID EVERYTHING YOU JUST SAID! I REGRET IT. HAVING YOU, THE MOST. FUCK YOU! YOU'RE GOING DOWN TODAY! THEY'LL BE DIGGING UP YOUR GRAVE NOW! YOU ASSHOLE YOU'LL REGRET EVERYTHING!"

His father shifted into his wolf form, and Harin did too. And as soon as they did, Claws and teeth were unleashed.

Skin was sliced, fur was ripped off and blood was shed.

Yonghoon gave out orders, and all of them nodded, shifting into their forms and running to help Harin.

Cya jumped on the Giant wolf's back, and bit into it, hearing a howl of pain.

Yonghoon ripped out the fur and proceeded to scratch the exposed skin.
Dongmyeong ripped off an ear of the elder, and Kanghyun did the same to the other.

They were all thrown off with an insane force, and Harin felt jaws bite into his neck
He kicked at the elders stomach, getting out from underneath him and slashing his face, tasting the coppery blood rolling down his blood matted fur.

His father looked crazy. He had missing patches of fur here and there, and even some of his bones showed. There was a crazy killer look in his eyes, which terrified him.

He was mindful of the waterfall behind him, it would be terrible if he fell down there. It would take ages to climb back up to where they were.

"You pathetic thing. Look at you. You could've dropped down and submitted to me. NO, You have it your way. But I'M DONE WITH YOU! SAY GOODBYE!"

His father lunged at him, and they were sent toppling dangerously close to the edge of the waterfall.

"Shit!—" Yonghoon exclaimed, running to them, even though the others tried to stop him. Knowing it was incredibly dangerous.

He teared his father off him, dealing a hard blow to his head.
His heart sank when he heard a whimper, and looking up, his jaw fell open in pure shock.

His father kicked Harin off the edge, and the Alpha was sent falling down. His distant howl still heard before it disappeared.

"Holy fuck.." Yonghoon gasped, trembling in fear.
The other 3 wolves rushed over, and looked down.

"Now... the rest of you.. you'll die like him. There's no way he survived something like that.. come here.."

They heard heavy thumps.

"Fucking hell! Come on, we need to move!" Cya yelled.
"But Harin-"

"There's no time to waste, we need to go!"

Yonghoon looked over the edge of the waterfall once more, before turning away and rushing off after the rest of the pack.
