At a video store, a person kicks the door, which appears to be Mordecai. The three video store workers gasp. Mordecai and the other park members then remove their hoodies from their faces, with the exception of Pops and (Y/n). "Nice! Customers." Joel said. "Can I help you?" Kai asked. "I want to help you!" Fi shouted. "Guys, guys. It's my turn. What are you looking for? Action? Comedy? Action-Comedy?" Joel asked. "Sorry, we actually don't know what we're looking for but," Benson grabs a hologram map from his pocket.

"This map that Mary Stone gave us says that whatever it is, it's somewhere in this store." He said. "It's gonna be a little hard to know what kind of action-comedy to recommend if you don't know what you're looking for." Pops takes off his hood, then so does (Y/n), and Kai, Fi and Joel gasp. "The chosen ones." Joel said. "The chosen ones. Where?" Pops turns his head around to see where the chosen ones are. "I... think they're talking about us, Pops." (Y/n) said. Kai rolls up her sleeve to show her Pop's and (Y/n)'s tattoos, along with Fi, where it is placed on her bottom leg and Joel removes his hat, which also have a Pops and (Y/n) tattoo.

"Oh my..." Pops said. "We have something to show you." Joel opens a door while holding a lamp. Joel removes a blanket with an image of Pops and (Y/n). There are two holes and a wall sliced in half. Kai and Fi grab Pops and (Y/n) band take them to the wall. "Wait, what're they doing?" Anna asked worriedly. "Duh. They're gonna put their heads in those holes to open a secret door. It's pretty obvious, Anna." Muscle Man said. "Oh, is it?" She asked. Fi and Kai put the duo's heads into the wall, which then opens the door horizontally. "Whoa!" The rest of the gang said. "Told ya." Muscle Man said. "What's behind the door?" (Y/n) asked. "Key to your pasts." Fi said. "Huh?" (Y/n) asked. Pops opens the door, walks through it and sees a tape that looks like Ice. Pops grabs the tape from the stand. "It's...for us." Pops turns to (Y/n).

"It's probably a sweet Pops and (Y/n) Origin Story." Muscle Man said. "Maybe it will tell us what we are supposed to do next." Skips said. "I hope so." Olivia said. "Plus, that tape's made out of ice. We totally gotta watch it." Rigby said. "Yeah um, quick question. If the tape is made of ice, how are we going to watch it?" Anna asked. "The tape won't work in any normal VCR." Kai said. "That doesn't answer my question." Anna said, and (Y/n) snickers. "You must take the tape to the Forbidden Mountain. There, and only there, may the contents of the tape be revealed to you." Fi said. "It'll be pretty dangerous, but we'll gladly die to make sure you get there to watch that tape." Joel said. "Die?" Anna asked, in slight fear and concern. "Not sure that will be necessary." Pops said. "Let's roll." Mordecai said. The ice tape is placed in a cooler, and the gang and the video store employees travel to the mountain on snowmobiles.

"All this Pops "Chosen One" stuff is crazy! I mean, I always thought he was just an old guy. A nice old guy, but you know? (Y/n) is different though, we found out the hard way too." Rigby said. "Yeah, I wonder what he really is. Like, what if Pops wasn't Pops at all?" Mordecai asked. Mordecai and Rigby begin to imagine what Pops actually is. "What if Pops is a robot?" Rigby asked. Pops turns into a golden robot. "Oh! Or what if he's actually a smaller guy piloting a robot?" The robot opens up to reveal a smaller and thinner-sized Pops, who dances. The imagine ends.

"Yeah, that sounds about right." Mordecai said, and (Y/n) scoffs. "Sure..." she said sarcastically. Everyone stops at the bottom of the mountain. "We're almost to the mountain, but to get there, we must first cross this frozen lake." Joel said. "Great, let's hope it doesn't break under our feet and we all drown." Olivia said. "Yeah, isn't there another way?" Anna asked. "Well, sure, if you wanna go through Magma Lake or Lightning Lake, be my guest." Joel said. Both lakes appear more dangerous than the Frozen Lake. "Even better!" Olivia said sarcastically. "Those names feel pretty on the nose." Fives said.

"I'll right. Guess we'll go across the Frozen Lake." Muscle Man said. "That's what I thought. We must make haste. Careful haste." Everyone begins to move across the Frozen Lake on their snowmobiles. The ice on the lake begins to crack. "Uh, guys?" Eileen asked. The ice begins to crack further, concerning Kai and Fi. "Ditch the snowmobiles! Run!" Everyone hastily gets off their snowmobiles and runs across the Frozen Lake, panting along the way. Much of the ice gives way, taking the snowmobiles with it. Joel attempts to make it across the Frozen Lake with the cooler, only for all of the ice ahead of him to melt into the water. Everyone else is able to cross the lake safely. "I'm not gonna make it!" Joel throws the cooler to Kai. "No, Joel!!" Kai shouted. "It's too late for me!" He shouted.

"Just jump it!" Rigby said. "I really think you can make it!" Elieen shouted. "Uh...I'm not much of a jumper." Joel said. "You sure you don't wanna at least try?" Mordecai asked. "Well, uh, I could give it a try." Joel attempts to run and jump to the other side of the lake, only to fail miserably. "Whoa! Oh man, I forgot to jump!" He shouted. "Joel!" Fi said. Joel attempts to stay afloat. "Now I'm for sure a goner! Just go!" He said. "Maybe we could make a human chain and pull you out?" Skips asked. "But you guys will be really cold!" He shouted.

"Oh for the love of- quit trying to be a hero and let us help you!" (Y/n) shouted angrily. Joel whimpers. "Okay, that sounds good! Let's try that! Aah!" Joel gets eaten by a fish, becoming the first fatality of the expedition. The rest of the group look on in shock and horror. "Well... we tried." Benson said. "Let's keep moving." Fi said. The group continue to venture up the mountain, stopping for rest in a cave. "It was very brave of...Joel?" Pops asked. "Joel." Fi said. "...Joel, to sacrifice himself like that." Pops said. "What do you think is on that tape?" Elieen asked. "Maybe some kind of curse that will kill us in seven days." (Y/n) said. Olivia and Anna look at her. "Really?" Olivia asked in disbelief.

"I was just kidding." (Y/n) said. "Well I'm eager to find out. I know so little about myself, about my past. I can't even remember anything from before I was two years old." Pops said. "Uh, nobody can remember that far back, Pops." Elieen said. "Yeah, two? I can hardly remember anything before I was 22." Rigby said, and (Y/n) snickers. "Well you're a special case, Rigby." She said. "Hey!" He glares at her.

"Perhaps you're right." Pops stares at the bonfire, and has a flashback about noticing a VCR covered in fire at a younger age. "Hey, take a look at this!" Skips said, and Pops snaps back to reality. Skips, Mordecai, Rigby, Benson, and Kai notice something in the cave. "It's bones." Skips said. "Uh...I don't think we should stay here." Benson said. "Agreed. This is definitely a snow mammoth's den." Fi said. "And from the looks of it..." A snow mammoth suddenly appears behind the group and roars. "He's right there!" Kai shouted. "Everyone, run!" The group, except Fi, runs away from the snow mammoth. Fi stays behind in an attempt to fight off the monster.

"Hey! Hey! Hey!" Fi picks up a stick on fire, before raising and waving it. "Over here!" Fi throws the stick. "Go get it!" The mammoth grabs Fi by her leg, causing her to scream. "Fi! No!" Kai shouted. "I'm not worth it! Go on without me!" She replied. "You should really have some more self-respect! You deserve to live as much as any of us!" Fives said. "You know, maybe you're right! Oh no, now it's really too late!" FIi is eaten by the mammoth, becoming the second fatality. "Fi! Noooo!" Kai shouted. "There's a hole over here we can go through!" Skips said. Benson attempts to comfort Kai. "Don't let her death be in vain. Come on, let's go, let's go, let's go." The group enter the hole and slide through rushing water. Eileen, Muscle Man and Benson scream, as Benson attempts to regain his balance. Pops is laughing in enjoyment. They subsequently land near the three VCRs. "Whoa!" Everyone said

"Greetings, travelers!" The Eggscellent Knight said. "Hey man, haven't seen you in a while." (Y/n) said. Everyone begins to walk over to the VCRs. "Aw, what! The Eggscellent Knight? How are you up here?" Mordecai asked. "Yeah, we're not even on Earth!" Rigby said. "I posted my resume on one of those job websites and bingo! I got some relic guarding work outside the Andromeda Galaxy. Anyways, I'm here to tell you of these three VCRs." The VCRs are shown. "One of fire...one of ice...one that's seemingly normal. Choose incorrectly,

and the information will be lost forever!" He said. "So, which one do we choose?" Anna asked. "Well, that seemingly normal one's definitely a trap." Rigby said. The slot of the "normal" VCR opens up to reveal a pair of eyes inside, before a gun is cocked and stuck outside the VCR. "I can't say." The knight said. "I don't know. Ice tape, ice VCR? Am I crazy here?" Mordecai asked. "Makes sense to me. What do you say, Pops? (Y/n)?" Skips asked. Pops walks up to the VCR on fire, before having the same flashback as earlier. At his house, the doorbell rings. The mailman is holding the VCR covered in fire. "Delivery for Mr. Maellard, see. Careful, sir. It seems to be quite hot, see." He said.

"Don't tell me how to handle my highly futuristic equipment, see!" Mr Maellard shouted. "Whatever you say, see." The mailman said. "Say, is this thing made well? I need it to last a while, see." Mr Maellard said. "Well, sir, you could upgrade to a lifetime warranty for 25 cents, see." The mailman said. "Sounds like a scam, see. Get outta my house, ya crook!" Mr Maellard slams the door. Pops snaps back to reality and gasps. "It's the fire one!" He shouted. "Really?" Benson asked. "Are you sure about that?" Olivia asked. "Won't it just melt if we put it in there?" (Y/n) asked. "Yeah, we'd never know what's on it!" Mordecai said. "You and (Y/n) won't be able to learn about your destinies!" Fives said. "Just trust me." Pops said. Kai hands over the ice tape to Pops. "Good luck, Chosen Ones." Just as Pops is about to insert the tape, the snow mammoth from earlier returns. Everyone collectively screams.

"Hold it off! Pops and (Y/n) must see the tape!" Kai shouted. Skips, Anna and Eileen begin to shoot the mammoth with laser guns. "It's not working!" Anna said. "It's just making the place smell like burnt wigs!" Eileen said. The mammoth begins to leap towards everyone. "It's all we got! Keep shooting!" Skips shouted. The trio continue to shoot, making a hole in the mountain wall. The mammoth strikes the group, causing the ice tape to fall out of Pop's hand and land on a block of ice.

Pops screams. "No!" He shouted. "We didn't come this far to not get answers!" Rigby shouted. Rigby proceeds to leap across the ice blocks to retrieve the tape, as Skips, Anna and Eileen continue to shoot lasers. He grabs the tape just as it is about to flow out of the mountain. "I got it! Aah!" The mammoth moves backwards, due to the lasers hitting the wall spikes and causing them to fall from above, towards Rigby. Rigby leaps away from it. "For Pops and (Y/n)!" Kai runs towards the mammoth to sacrifice herself.

"Kai! Nooo!" Fives shouted. "We could just keep shooting rocks at him!" Elieen shouted. "It was working really well!" Skips said. "Yeah, don't do it!" Anna shouted. Kai jumps towards the mammoth. "What?" Realizing her mistake too late, both the mammoth and Kai fall out of the mountain, falling to their eventual deaths. The gang look on. Mordecai picks up his phone. "Hello?" He asked. "I knew my time would come!

And it was totally worth it to die for Pops! I gotta goooooo!" With this, Kai is the last of the video store employees to die. "Kai? Kai? Hello?" Mordecai turns to the group. "She said it was worth it." He said. "Those three. If nothing else, they had a calling." Skips said. "Ahem. It is time to make your choice." The Eggscellent Knight said. Pops is finally able to insert the ice tape into the VCR on fire. "Oooh!" Everyone said. "You have chosen wisely." A hologram of Mr. Maellard appears in the fire and he claps. "You did it Pops! You and (Y/n) found the tape!" He said. "Mr. Maellard?" Everyone asked. "Poppa?" Pops asked. " I couldn't be more proud. Now, I think it's high time that I explain some things to you." An old film footage begins to appear on the hologram, corresponding with Mr. Maellard's story.

"A long time ago, I was on an expedition for recently fallen meteorites. People at the time liked the look of them, so they'd pay a pretty penny. Then, one day, a brand new meteor fell. It was my lucky day! But when we went to inspect it, we found something else. It was you! Baby you, but you! My Pops. I called you that 'cause you looked super old." He chuckles. "But then, I found something else. With you, I found two scrolls. The first scroll explained that you are special, not of this Earth.

It told the tale of two brothers: one, the embodiment of pure good, and the other, filled with pure evil, destined to be at war with one another. I hoped I'd found the good one." He laughs. "As for the second, the second scroll told the tale of an extraordinary being. One that had come to our universe from another." Everyone tensed at this. "This being had limitless power. The power to create, and the power to destroy. It also has the power to alter reality. The scroll then revealed that they would cause the end of our time.

You, Pops and (Y/n), have the powers to stop them. You're the only ones standing between them and the destruction of the universe! Pops, I'm sure by now you've started to notice your body changing. You're finding powers where there were no powers before. These are the beginning manifestations of your true form. You must learn to harness your powers if you are to survive. You too (Y/n). The first scroll speaks of the strongest, most powerful trainer Earl, who will teach you both how to use your powers.

I know it's a lot to take in, but I believe in you two. And Pops, I may not be your real father, but you were always my real son." Mr. Maellard said. Pops begins to tear up. Mr. Maellard turns to his right. "Should we do another one? Did we get that?" He asked. The holographic message ends and the tape ejects, melting instantly. "Ohhhhhh, boy. Guess Pops isn't a robot." Rigby said. "Wait a minute," Anna said, and everyone looks at her. "How did Mr. Maellard know about (Y/n)'s powers?" She asked. This surprised everyone. "Hey, yeah! He mentioned her powers! Had he known about that this whole time?!" Rigby asked in disbelief. "Geez! It would have saved us a lot of trouble if he told us that in the first place!" Mordecai said. "So...how do we find this trainer?" Olivia asked.

"Looking for me?" An elderly Earl appears from the shadows. "Uhhh?" Everyone asked. "Who are you?" Anna asked. "I am Earl, from the tape. Now, who's ready to train?" Earl asked. "Ohhhh!" Everyone turns to one another and chatter. "Yes, of course he's old!" Pops said.
