The trio is looking through some VHS tapes. "Hmm. Man, space is cool and all, but the VHS selection sucks." Mordecai said. "Tired of watching the same old movie?" The trio turn to see a commercial. "Yeah." A teenage boy said. "Tired of walking around like a sucker?" The announcer asked. "Yeah!" The teenage boy said in annoyance. "Then it's time to try hover boots." The announcer said.

The trio look at each other, and Mordecai and Rigby quickly grab some and rush to the counter. Mordecai tries to buy them, but the card is denied. "Oh, what? Denied? How much do these cost?" He asked. "500 space creds." The cashier said, and (Y/n)'s eyes widened. "500?! For those?!" At this point, she actually tries not to laugh. "How much do we have?" Rigby asked. "-200 space creds." The cashier replied. Rigby grabs a coupon and scans it. "Uhh. Sir, that's just a coupon." Rigby then tires using a hat to buy them.

"Sir, no, that's just a hat." Next Rigby tries to use his own arm. "Sir, no, your arm doesn't have any credits on it." The cashier said. "Just give us the boots!" Rigby shouted, and (Y/n) quickly grabs him in order to stop him. "Rigby, stop!" She said. "Security!" The trio is thrown out of the store. "Dudes, we have to get those hover boots." Mordecai said. "Really? They didn't actually seem that cool to me. Are you sure you really want to go through all this trouble just for some boots?" (Y/n) asked. "What?! Not cool? (Y/n), they were totally cool!" Rigby said. "Yeah (Y/n), trust us, you'll think differently once you have a pair of your own." Mordecai said. "If you say so..." she said.

The trio go to Pops first. "Hey, Pops, can you transfer us 500 space creds each for some hover boots?" Rigby asked. "Hover boots? I'm afraid not. You'll trip and fall." Pops said scoldingly, he sounded like a father scolding their children, and (Y/n) snickers. "I don't loan creds." Sally said. "Yeah. And you'll sprain your ankles." Skips said. "No way. You two have to learn the value of a space credit." Benson said once they asked him. "What is the value of a space credit?" Mordecai asked. "Uh..." Benson said. "You don't really know, do you?" (Y/n) asked with a smirk as she crosses her arms. "Shut up, (Y/n)!" Benson snapped, and she scoffs.

"Just don't waste your money on junk!" Benson storms off. Mordecai sighs. "Maybe you're right (Y/n), maybe these hover boots aren't worth it." He said. "Yeah." Rigby agreed. "Dudes, check out my sweet new moves." The trio turn to see that Muscle Man and Fives were both wearing some. Muscle Man began showing off by walking in them. "Whoo-hoo!" He said. "You know, the fact that they're so dangerous only seems to make 'em more fun." Fives said. "How are you even wearing those?" (Y/n) asked. "What do you mean?" Fives asked her in confusion. "You don't have feet." (Y/n) pointed out. "Oh, actually I do, you just can't see them." Fives said. "Oh..." (Y/n) said.

A Jamaican notices the duo. "Sweet kicks, mon. There's a party going down at the Jamaican Dome tonight. You should stop by. All the coolest domers are gonna be there, and you guys are definitely cool." He said to Muscle Man and Fives. "Aw, ha ha, sweet." Muscle Man said. "Hey, I want to go to the party." Rigby said. "Uh... no. It's more of a small thing." The Jamaican replied, and (Y/n) scoffs. "Seriously? You only think they're cool because of their boots? Going to this party of yours isn't even worth it." She said. But her friends seemed to disagree. "I want it more than ever now!" Rigby shouted.

"Uhh. How are we gonna get any space credits?" Mordecai asked. Suddenly Recap Robot approaches. "If you're willing to work for the creds, I heard Professor Jacobs in the greenhouse is looking for some help with a secret project." He said. "Hmm. Hmm-hmm. Hmm-hmm. Hmm-hmm-hmm-hmm-hmm." Mordecai and Rigby said. Later, the trio follows a woman named Jessica down the hallway of the greenhouse. "In this greenhouse, we have vegetation from every ecosystem on Earth." Jessica said. "Whoa." (Y/n) said as she looks around.

"So what, you need us to prune your trees or something?" Rigby asked, and Jessica chuckles. "Something like that." She said. "Restricted access?" Rigby asked eagerly once the trio reached the door, and (Y/n) became nervous. To her that wasn't a good sign. "Whoa-oa-oa-oa!" Mordecai and Rigby said as the trio follow Jessica into the room. "Huh?" The trio asked, once they walk in to see a huge plant. It then opens its mouth and growls at them and the trio shrieks. (Y/n) even cowers behind the duo. "What the hell is that?!" She asked. "Stay behind the yellow line, and you'll be safe." Jessica replied, and (Y/n) pulls Mordecai and Rigby further behind the line. "Seriously though, what the hell is that?" (Y/n) asked.

"A little experiment of my own design. Unfortunately, it ate Dr. Craig Jacobs, my lab mate, and my... husband." Jessica said. "IT ATE YOUR HUSBAND?!" (Y/n) panicked. "So you want us to kill it?" Mordecai asked. "Kill it? My baby? No. Never. I nursed it from a seedling. It represents the very pinnacle of vegetative development. No. I need you to help me rescue Craig by going inside it." Jessica said. "WHAT?!" (Y/n) asked. "How we gonna do that?" Rigby asked. "By letting it eat you." She said. The duo laugh. "What?! No way, lady! You're out of your mind if you think-" "I'll pay the there of you 500 space creds." She cut (Y/n) off. "Okay, we'll do it." Mordecai said.

(Y/n) turns to them in disbelief. "What?! Are you serious?! Nu uh! You know all those times you refused to let me do something? Well I'm not letting either of you do this." (Y/n) said. "What?!" The duo asked her in shock. "(Y/n) that's not fair!" Rigby said. "Yeah, we should be able to make our own decisions!" Mordecai shouted, and (Y/n) scoffs. "Clearly not if you're willing to risk your lives just for 500 creds!" (Y/n) shouted.

"But those boots are really cool!" Rigby argued. "I don't care! You're not doing this! End of story. Let's go back and see if we can find an easier job!" (Y/n) began walking away. "No, (Y/n)! You may be our friend and my girlfriend, but you're not the boss of us! I'm going in." Rigby said. "Yeah, me too." Mordecai said. "Are you guys for real?" (Y/n) asked angrily, then she takes a deep breath and sighs. "Fine. Do what you want." She growled. Jessica seemed to be smirking while watching their argument, which only made (Y/n) angrier. The duo suit up and attach their suits to a chain.

"Here are your lasers. When you find Craig, just radio me, and I'll turn this winch on to pull you back out. "What if your husband is dead though?" (Y/n) asked, crossing her arms. "(Y/n)!" Rigby scolded. "Well if that's the case, please bring back the family necklace he had with him. It means a lot to me." Jessica said desperately. "If Craig's dead, will they still get the creds?" (Y/n) asked, and the duo glare at her. "Dude." Mordecai scolded. "I'm just trying to iron out the details." (Y/n) said. "Don't worry. We'll bring back anything we find. Promise." Mordecai said.

The plant monster screeches. "Uh, maybe hover boots aren't really worth all this." Mordecai said. "Dude, it's about more than the shoes. It's about rescuing that weird woman's husband or brother or whatever. I wasn't listening. It's about never having to walk to places ever again. It's about looking so cool that we get invited to big parties. And it's about getting those things by using these sweet lasers." Rigby said. "You're right. Let's do this." Mordecai said, and the duo held up their blasters. They walk over to the plant monster, which bends down to eat them.

"It's so gross!" Rigby shouted. "Dude, get your elbow out of my face!" Mordecai shouted. At this point, (Y/n) quickly rushes over and jumps into the plant's mouth, shocking the duo. "(Y/n), what're you doing?!" Rigby asked. "I change my mind! I'm coming with you!" She shouted. "But you're not prepared! You didn't suit up or grab a blaster! How are you supposed to get back out or defend yourself?!" Mordecai asked. "I have my powers, remember?" She asked. "But what about getting out of here?!" Rigby asked. "I can just hold on to one of you or something!

I'll figure something out!" The trio scream as they fall inside the plant. "Ow." Rigby said. Mordecai uses his blaster to light up the area around them. "Whoa." (Y/n) said. Rigby stands up and uses his blaster for light too. "Uh, I'm scared." Rigby clings to (Y/n). "Let's just get this over with. Just think about all the sweet hover tricks we're gonna do once we get all those space creds!" Mordecai said. "Hover boots. Hover boots. Hover boots. Hover boots. Hover boots. Hover boots. Hover boots." The duo chanted as the trio walk through the plant, unaware that they were being watched.

"What? That's insane. Everybody knows you find the Sword of Unbreakability in the third dungeon by beating the boss and pressing up, down, left, right, B, A, B, A, B, A, start, unplugging controller one, plugging it back in, and hitting select and start at the same time." Rigby said as the trio went through some bushes. "No, dude. That's how you get the Wand of Unusual Effect, not the Sword of Unbreakability. I feel like I don't even know who you are right now." (Y/n) said.

"Same could be said about you." Rigby mumbles, but she raises an eyebrow. "What was that?" She asked. "Nothing!" He said quickly, and Mordecai snickers. "You two fight about the silliest things as a couple." He said, and the duo glare at him. "Shh. Did you hear that?" (Y/n) asked. "You shh!" Rigby said. "Shh!" (Y/n) hissed. "Shh." Rigby said. "Be quiet!" (Y/n) said. "Shh. Stop talking!" Rigby whisper yelled. "Hey, I think I just heard something." (Y/n) said. "Yeah, no doy!" Rigby snapped.

Suddenly a bunch of red eyes peek out from the bushes behind them. "Nice going, Rigby." (Y/n) said sarcastically, and Rigby growls a little at her. "Uh, maybe we should walk a little faster." Rigby said. "No, let's walk a lot faster." Mordecai said. "How about we run instead?" (Y/n) asked. As the trio start running, a spider like creature crawls out of the bushes, and the trio scream. "Dudes, what is that?" Rigby asked. The trio scream as more crawl out of the bushes and begin to surround them. "Uh-oh. Aah. What do we do?" Mordecai asked.

Rigby clung onto (Y/n) again. "Dudes, you have lasers." (Y/n) said. Rigby then let go of her arm. "Oh yeah!" He said. "Oh, right. Time to take out the... Oh, wait. Time to..." Mordecai said, and (Y/n) rolls her eyes. "Smoke some bugs?" She asked. "Time to smoke some bugs." Mordecai clicks his blaster, and the duo begin firing at them. (Y/n) debated on whether or not she should help, but decided against it. The spiders retreated and ran off, as others had been killed.

"Whoa-oa-oa-oa-oa." The duo said, and (Y/n) giggles. "Nice work, guys." She said. (Y/n)'s eyes widened once she saw another spider creature come out from the bushes behind Rigby. "Rigby, look out!" She shouted. "Wha-a-a-a-t?" Rigby asked as he slowly turns around. (Y/n) was about to run over to help, but before she could, a spear came out of nowhere and flew towards it. "Whoa. That spear almost hit me in the face." Rigby said. "Whoa." The trio said as they turn to see someone who looks like a caveman. "Are you okay, Rigby?" (Y/n) asked. "I'm fine." He said.

"Hey, thanks, man." Rigby said. "Yeah, that was close." (Y/n) said. "Hey, are you Craig?" Mordecai asked. "Craig? Craig. Yes, that-that's what they called me outside the plant." He replied. "So you have a new name inside the plant...?" (Y/n) asked. "Oh, cool. Your wife Jessica sent us to rescue you." Mordecai said. "My wife?" Craig asked. "Um, we were—" Mordecai was interrupted by him laughing. "Whats so funny?" (Y/n) asked, but he just held up a finger.

"Ha ha. Wait. Wait." He then continues laughing. The trio look at each other, unamused. "Whew. Dang, I nearly busted a gut over here." The man sniffs. "Oh, sorry." He said as he wipes a few tears. "I've just been stuck down here alone for so long. Just me and those dumb bugs." Craig begins to shake in anger as he points at the bushes. Mordecai puts a hand on his. "Whoa. Okay, man. Take it easy." He said. "Uh... what were we talking about?" Craig asked. "We were about to—" Rigby said. "Jessica. That's right. Yeah. She was my wife, but not anymore." Craig said. "What? What do you mean?" (Y/n) asked. "Not after the incident." Craig said.

~Flashback~

"Jess, this has gone too far. I mean, look at this thing. It's unnatural." Craig said, pointing at the monster plant, and Jessica slaps him. "Don't you dare say that about our baby!" She scolded. "Ever since we got to space, these experiments have gotten further and further out of control. It needs to stop. And this abomination needs to be destroyed." Craig said, pointing at the plant again. "You'll never take my baby away from me. Never!" Jessica shoves him, and him along with her necklace fall back and Jessica gasps. "No!" She shouted.  Craig holds onto the necklace. "You always loved this necklace more than me. Now you'll never see it again." He begins to laugh maniacally as the plant eats him. Tears stream from Jessica's eyes. "No!" She shouted.

~Present~

Craig was laughing again. "It feels like it only happened yesterday." Craig said. "When did this happen?" Rigby asked. "Yesterday." Craig said, and (Y/n) face palms. "Unbelievable." She said. "Wait. What? How'd you lose your clothes already?" Mordecai asked. "Yeah, you look terrible." Rigby said. "Living in space is one thing, but living in a giant monster plant messes you up, man." Craig said as he points at them. "Uh... well, we're just doing this to make some space creds, so..." Mordecai said, and (Y/n) elbows him. "Ow!" He yelps, and Craig laughs. "Ha ha ha. Jessica doesn't have any money." Craig laughs. "What?!" (Y/n) asked.

"She only sent you down here to get her diamond necklace back. She spent all her money on this gross plant." Craig said, and (Y/n) began to breath heavily. "Let me get this straight. Jessica lied to them and sent them down here, not because she wanted her husband, but only because she wanted some stupid necklace, and wasn't actually going to pay them the creds she promised?" (Y/n) asked, getting angrier. "Yup." Craig said.

"Why that little... we could have died down here! My friends could have died down here!" (Y/n) growls. "When we get back up there I'm going to-" Mordecai and Rigby look at each other nervously, then quickly try to comfort her. "Whoa! It's okay, (Y/n)! Look, we're still alive, right?" Rigby asked. "Yeah, and who needs creds? We'll find some other way to get them." Mordecai said. "No! I won't accept that!" (Y/n) shouted. "Look, if you guys help me get out of here, I'll pay you whatever she offered." Craig said, and this instantly calms (Y/n). "Oh, really?" She asked. "Yes." He replied.

"Deal." (Y/n) said. "Come in, Jessica. We're ready for evac. I repeat. We're ready for evac. Over." She said into the walkie talkie. She smirks, then the trio fall out from the plant, and to the floor, the duo dropping their blasters. "Uh-oh" Mordecai said once he hears the sound of a gun click, and the trio see Jessica holding the blaster, and Rigby and (Y/n) put their paws up. "Hello guys. Why don't you slide that laser pack over nice and slowly?" Jessica asked. "Sure, here you go." (Y/n) casually unhooks her friends and slides them over.

"Very good. Now, where's my necklace?" Jessica demanded, and the trio glare at her. "Don't worry. We got it right there!" Rigby points up, and Craig is holding it, standing on top of the plant and Jessica gasps. "Craig?!" She asked. Craig then hops down. "You're-You're... alive?" Jessica asked. "Looking for this?" Craig asked, taking out the necklace. Jessica gasps, then turns on her blaster. "Give me that necklace, Craig, or else." She said. "Jess, please, stop this madness. You were a good person once. Remember when we got to space?" Craig asked.

"That was an entire week ago, Craig. I've changed. Now it's just me and my plants. My necklace." Jessica said, she then aims at the group and they collapse, as the necklace falls to the floor. "My necklace!" Jessica shouted, running after it, but Rigby quickly snatches it. Then loses his balance and almost trips over the yellow line, and the plant smiles, getting ready to eat him. "Rigby, over here!" (Y/n) throws her paws up. Rigby grunts as he tosses her the necklace, and she catches it. Jessica groans. "Hey lady, catch!" (Y/n) throws the necklace,

and Jessica runs after it, then catches it. "Finally." She laughs maniacally. "Oh no." suddenly the plant grabs her. "Oh, no. Jess, no. Look out. Jess!" Craig runs after her as the plant monster grabs her and lifts her up. "Ooh." The trio said. "I'm coming, Jess!" Craig said. The plant monster tries to eat her and the trio cringe. "Hang on, Jess. Unh. I've got you." Craig said, jumping over and grabbing her, keeping her from being swallowed. "After everything I did, you still want to save me?" Jessica asked.

"Of course, Jess. I can't live another day without you." Craig said. "Oh, Craig. Let's just start a new life together inside this plant." Jessica said as the two began to fall in. "Do you really mean it?" He asked. "Yes. Let's never be apart again." Jessica said. "Look, I know you guys just went on a roller coaster of emotions, but is someone gonna pay them?" (Y/n) asked, gesturing to her friends. "Yeah, we're trying to buy some hover boots." Mordecai said. "Sure. I'll transfer the creds right now."

Craig said, then transfers the duo the creds with some kind of device. "Thank you." (Y/n) said, but it sounded more sarcastic. "But, oh, be careful. I heard those things are really dangerous!" Craig shouted as he got sucked into the plant. Later, the duo are trying on the boots. "Dangerous? These aren't dangerous." Mordecai said. "Hmm-hmm. Hmm-hmm. Hmm." The duo said. The duo then activate them, but then crash into the ceiling, and back onto the floor with a groan. The boots activate again and send them into the wall, flipping over the a bunk bed in the process, and (Y/n) face palms.
