When the day came that Regris was able to start going on missions again you were sad. Regris was sad too now that he couldn't see you all day. He promised you that he would come back alive. Right before he left he gave you another courtship gift; a beautiful scarf with your favorite colors. A few days passed before he was able to come home, but when the ship landed and you saw only Kolivian and Thace exit the ship You feared the worst.

"W-where is he?" You asked Thace, trying your best not to cry.

"Y/n, Regris is alive. But uh… He's not the same as he used to be." Thace replied awkwardly. 

"What do you mean?" You asked him.

"Regris was turned into a kit." Kolivian said before he left the hanger while carrying a bundle.

Both you and Thace followed Kolivian to the med bay. A million questions were floating around in your head. After Kolivian told Ulaz what happened, Ulaz looked Regris over. You just stood by the med bay door, waiting for the news. 

"If my hypothesis is correct, Regris should be back to normal sometime tomorrow." Ulaz said after a while.

"How was he turned into a kit?" You asked Ulaz, finally deciding to say something.

"Magic. Altean magic." Ulaz replied as he went to go get something out of one of the lower cupboards. 

Regris laid on the examination table wrapped up in an old blanket. When Ulaz came back to the examination table he unwrapped Regris, put something similar to a diaper on him and dressed him. 

"Y/n, can you take care of Regris since Antok is out?" Kolivian asked you.

"I- yes, I'll try my best." You said confidently.

Ulaz picked Regris up, walked over to you and handed him to you. Regris looked up at you curiously, wondering what was going on. Your heart melted when you saw just how cute he was. 

"Is there anything that I should know about?" You asked Ulaz.

"I will prepare a few bottles of kit formula. All you will need to do is take care of him similar to how you would care for a human kit. However, he needs to constantly be held while he is awake, otherwise he will fuss. The diaper will dissolve and absorb any waste. Here is a kit sling." Ulaz said as he helped you put the sling on before he helped you put Regris in it. 

"Thank you." You said, smiling up at Ulaz.

"You are welcome. I know that you will take good care of him." Ulaz said before he went back to organizing his surgical tools.

You turned around and walked out of the med bay. On the way to your habsuite you got some strange looks from some of the other Blades. It wasn't often that they saw someone wearing a kit sling. Regris cooed happily as he peered up at you. Once you got back to your habsuite you went to your bedroom, got on your bed and took Regris out of the sling. 

"You're so cute!" You said, a huge smile on your face.

Regris giggled and reached his arms up. You tickled him a little, causing him to laugh. After a few moments you stopped tickling him. You heard his stomach grumble a little. You picked Regris up and went to go back to the med bay. 

Thankfully, right as you opened your door you saw Ulaz with a bottle of formula. You thanked Ulaz and took the bottle before you turned around and went back to your bedroom. As you sat on your bed you offered the bottle to Regris. As expected, he latched on and immediately started drinking. 

"You sure are hungry, aren't you?" You asked him.

Regris looked up at you as he drank the formula from the bottle. As he drank he made little noises. His eyes drooped a little, letting you know that he was tired. Once the bottle was empty you put it on your nightstand and went to get a hand towel. When you found a hand towel you got back on your bed, put the towel over your shoulder and positioned Regris on your shoulder so that you could gently pat his back. 

"Come on, let it out." You said calmly as you gently patted Regris on the back.

Regris laid on you, feeling a burp starting to come. You continued to gently pat him on the back. After a while Regris finally let out a little burp. Thankfully, he held his dinner down. You took Regris off of your shoulder and you put the towel where you could reach it. 

"Alright, bed time." You said, yawning a little as you went to go turn the lights out.

Regris watched you curiously, wondering what you were doing. Once all the lights in your habsuite were turned off you climbed back on your bed, not caring that you were still wearing your day clothes. You got under the covers and you laid Regris next to you. You both fell asleep fairly quickly.

When you felt a weight on top of you move a little you woke up. You turned the light on, checked your holopad and saw that it was time to get up. Regris cooed and babbled happily when he saw that you were awake. 

"Good morning. Are you ready to get the day started?" You asked him.

Regris purred as he nestled himself against your breasts. You couldn't be mad at him for it since he was currently a baby. You picked Regris up as you sat up, making him whine a little. After a few moments you had the kit sling on and you put Regris in it. You didn't care that your hair was a mess, you were hungry for breakfast and you knew that Regris would be too. 

You grabbed the hand towel from the night before and you left your habsuite. As you walked through the halls towards the cafatera a few Blades couldn't help but stare at you. You didn't care though. As you entered the cafeteria you saw Ulaz and went to go sit next to him.

"Good morning, Y/n. How is Regris doing?" Ulaz asked as you sat down.

"He's been doing pretty good." You replied, yawning a little.

"I packed a bag of kit supplies for you. I believe you humans call them 'diaper bags'." Ulaz said as he handed you a cloth bag.

"Thank you." You said as you took the bag from him and grabbed the bottle from one of the side pockets. 

You positioned Regris so that you could feed him without him choking. As soon as you offered him the bottle he started drinking. When your food was brought to you, you had to multitask a little. You had to feed Regris and yourself at the same time. Regris finished his bottle sooner than you finished your breakfast. 

You had to pause your eating so that you could burp Regris. Once again you put the bottle down, put the towel over your shoulder and put Regris on your shoulder. Almost everyone in the room watched as you gently patted Regris on the back. Thankfully, it took him less time to burp than it did the previous night. After you were done you put him back in the sling, put the towel in the diaper bag and resumed eating. 

Regris babbled a little as he peered out of the sling and looked at everyone. You saw a few of the Blades smile and wave at Regris. Ulaz smiled, knowing that you would be an excellent mother someday. Once you were done eating breakfast you picked the diaper bag up and went back to your habsuite. As soon as you were back you sat on your couch and took a few things out of the diaper bag.

"Alright, let's get you changed." You said as you took Regris out of the sling and laid him on the changing mat that you laid on the couch.

You tried not to think much of it as you started to change Regris. As expected, the old diaper dissolved any waste that was in it. You were able to quickly put a new diaper on Regris. Once you were done you threw the old diaper and the wipes you used away in the trash. You washed your hands and went back to the couch.

"Boop! Boop! Boop!" You said as you lightly booped Regris on his nose. 

Regris laughed as you lightly booped him on his nose. You laughed a little too, finding this situation way too cute to handle. You had to admit that it was fun taking care of Regris.

As you turned the water on in your bathtub you checked it to make sure that it wasn't too hot or too cold. Regris looked up at you as you filled the tub just a little. Once it was ready you turned the water off and undressed Regris. He squirmed around a little as you lifted him up and carefully sat him in the tub. You found some soap in the diaper bag that was safe for babies and kits. 

"Okay, time to get you all cleaned up." You cooed as you put some of the soap on a soft washcloth.

Regris splashed and wiggled around in the water, giggling as he did so. You had to be careful as you tried your best to wash him. You quickly looked in the bag again and found something that looked like a bath toy. When you put the toy in the water Regris saw it floating and he grabbed it. Now that he was occupied you could finally wash him.

Even though he was currently a kit you noticed that he still had his injuries. Thankfully, they didn't seem to affect him. You loved seeing him so carefree and happy like this. Regris giggled a little louder as he pushed the toy under the water, let go of it and watch it pop back up. After you were finished washing and rinsing him off you placed a soft towel on your lap, unplugged the tub and took Regris out. 

Regris' tail swished back and forth a little as you lifted him out of the tub. The bath toy fell out of his little hands onto the floor. As you wrapped the towel around him he started purring. You smiled as he looked up at you with his cute little eyes. It didn't take you very long to get him dried off all the way. 

"Alright little man, let's get you redressed. Then you can have a nap." You said in a baby voice.

Regris yawned at just the mention of a nap. You got the changing mat out of the bag as well as a new diaper. Right as you laid him down you saw that he was starting to grow. You realized that he was returning back to his normal self. You went to get a regular sized towel. 

Within fifteen minutes Regris was all grown up a little. You put one of your hands over your eyes as you walked back into the bathroom with the towel.

"Y/n, why am I naked in your bathroom? And why am I sitting on a changing mat and a diaper?" Regris asked you curiously, not remembering what had happened.

"It's a long story. But first, wrap this towel around your waist." You said as you handed your boyfriend a towel.

"Thank you." Regris said as he took the towel. 

You went to your living room and waited. Regris wrapped the towel around his waist and put everything back into the diaper bag. Once he was decent he walked out of your bathroom and went to your living room so that you could tell him what happened and why he couldn't remember what happened for the past day. You explained what happened and he was thankful that you were the one who took care of him. Then, you let him go back to his habsuite so that he could get one of his uniforms back on.
