~ Holding head up ~

While you were doing something in another room Rez was having tummy time with Rez. Regris decided to lay flat on his stomach in front of Rez. Rez made a distressed sound, not liking tummy time.

"Come on, you can do it. Just lift your head a little." Regris said, encouraging Rez to hold his head up.

Rez tried his best to lift his head up and did it. Regris cheered, happy that Rez was holding his head up. You walked in and saw what was going on. Rez babbled happily when he saw you.

"Having fun?" You asked, sitting on the floor behind Rez and picking him up.

"Yes, we are. Rez finally lifted his head." Regris told you as he sat up.

"I saw." You said, a smirk on your face.

Regris couldn't help but blush a little. You smiled as you cradled Rez in your arms. You were happy that he was finally able to hold his head up a little.

~ First smile ~

While you were busy making dinner Regris was sitting in a chair while holding Rez. Regris was holding up some keys on a keyring with his tail while making them jingle. Rez looked up at the keys and smiled.

"Y/n, look! Rez is smiling!" Regris said happily.

"He is?" You asked, putting down the thing you were cutting so that you could see.

Regris kept slowly moving the keys so that Rez would keep smiling. It worked, of course, because babies love keys.

"See." Regris said as you both looked at Rez.

"Do you like the house keys?" You asked Rez in a baby voice.

Rez looked at you and his smile got bigger. Your heart melted while Regris was dying from cuteness overload. You grabbed your phone and snapped a picture so that you could always remember this moment.

~ Rolling over ~

While you sat on the bed with Rez you were waiting for Regris to get out of the bathroom. Rez kept trying to roll over onto his stomach, so you watched and encouraged him.

"Come on, you can do it. You're so close." You cooed.

Rez whined a little as he kept trying. Right as Regris walked out of the bathroom that was connected to the bedroom Rez rolled over onto his stomach.

"Rez just rolled over." Regris said happily as he walked over to the bed and sat on the edge.

"He did. He's growing up so fast." You said happily.

Rez rolled over onto his back and looked up at Regris. Regris let Rez hold the end of his tail. You both were happy that your son was starting to move around more, but you knew that soon enough he would be getting into things.

~ Teething ~

Lately Rez had been chewing on anything and everything that he could get his hands, and mouth, on. You noticed that he was starting to grow teeth, so you got out the teething rings. While you were washing them off Regris was trying to keep Rez busy in the living room.

"Y/n, do you have those teething things ready yet?" Regris asked from the living room.

"Almost." You replied, turning the water off once you were finished.

Regris quietly huffed as Rez gnawed on the end of his tail, thankful that Rez' teeth weren't sharp yet. When you walked into the living room you saw what was going on and giggled a little.

"Here, give him this." You told Regris as you sat down next to him and gave him a light blue teething ring.

Regris took the teething ring and held it in front of Rez. Rez saw the teething ring and let go of his father's tail so that he could grab the ring. Rez put the teething ring in his mouth and immediately started gnawing on it.

"Is that better?" You asked Regris.

"Yes, much better. Thank you, Y/n." Regris said as he leaned over a little and nuzzled you.

~ Laughter ~

One morning while you were getting dressed Regris was on the bed with Rez. Rez had been smiling a lot lately, but Regris wanted to make him laugh. So he was making funny faces. When Regris made a particularly funny face Rez began giggling.

"Y/n, I made him laugh!" Regris said triumphantly.

"Let me try." You said, putting on a shirt and getting on the bed.

Rez looked up at you curiously as you leaned over him. You made the funniest face you could, causing Rez to giggle. You couldn't help but laugh a little with him. Regris joined in, the laughter becoming contagious.

~ Crawling ~

One sunny afternoon you, Regris and Rez were outside enjoying the sunlight and fresh air. Rez was laying on his stomach on a large picnic blanket while holding one of his favorite toys, a light blue ball with white clouds on it. When the ball rolled off of the blanket he was determined to get it back himself.

"Is he going to be able to get it?" Regris asked you.

"I think so." You said, watching Rez move forward a little.

Rez huffed in frustration as he slowly inched forward. He was going to get his ball back and nothing was going to stop him. As he moved forward he got better at it.

"You can do it Rez." Regris said in encouragement.

When Rez finally got to his ball he grabbed it with his tiny hands and dragged it back onto the blanket. You and Regris were proud of him for crawling for the first time.

~ Walking ~

When Rez began walking along furniture you and Regris were excited. Regris would often let Rez hold onto his tail so that he could walk around more, even though it was assisted. You knew that Rez would be walking on his own soon, but you weren't sure when. So one day while Regris was slowly walking around in the living room while Rez walked behind him while holding his tail you walked into the room. Rez stopped walking and looked up at you.

"I see that you two are walking again." You said as a smirk made itself at home on your face.

"Yes, we are." Regris said happily.

Rez looked at you and slowly let go of Regris' tail. You and Regris watched as Rez just stood there, wobbling a little. You knelt down and held your arms out.

"Come on Rez, come to mommy." You said in baby talk.

Rez smiled as he took a few steps forward, losing his balance after walking over to you. You caught Rez just in time so that he wouldn't fall.

"You did so good." You said happily as you picked Rez up.

Regris smiled as he wrapped his arms around you and Rez. Rez giggled as you and Regris hugged him. You were happy that Rez was walking now, but you knew that he would be getting into a lot of things.

~ First words ~

When Rez started becoming more vocal you and Regris knew that he would say his first word soon. Every day he came closer to talking, but most of it was just babbling. Right now the three of you were sitting on the bed.

"Say papa Rez, say papa." Regris said as he sat in front of Rez.

"No, say mama." You said, sitting next to Regris.

Rez looked up at Regris, then he looked up at you. He wasn't sure what was going on. You and Regris saw the puzzled look on his face and knew that he was confused.

"Say papa." Regris said, smiling down at Rez.

"Say mama." You said in baby talk.

"M-m-ma-ma-ma-mama. P-pa-pa-papa." Rez finally said after sounding the two words out.

"You said two words! You did so good!" You said happily, picking Rez up and kissing his forehead.

"You're growing up so fast." Regris said happily, hugging both you and Rez while purring.

Neither of you couldn't believe that Rez said two words. You felt a little sad that Rez was growing up so quickly, but you were happy that he was starting to talk.
