Taehyung sighed sitting cross-legged on his bed. Jimin lying on his stomach besides him laughing and reading something which Taehyung didn't mind asking. He sighed again making Jimin scoff.

"What with this long face?"

"Mhmm... nothing."

Taehyung sighed for the third time. Jimin sat up, worried about his best friend. But before he could interrogate him more, a ring tone was heard. Taehyung picked up his phone immediately.

"Nara! How are you?"

He cheerfully asked. Jimin rolled his eyes dropped down on the bed again. A few minutes passed by and he found Taehyung stiffened in his place. Peering over from his phone he murmured.

"Oi what's that bitch saying?"

Taehyung didn't reply as he quietly listened to her. Jimin knitted his brows, confused about taehyung's reaction.

'Just a minute ago he was acting so happy and cheerful but now.."

A ding of notification diverted his attention as he looked at his phone.

Jimin put his phone on the side now focusing on taehyung who had also put his phone aside.

"What was she saying?"

Jimin asked curiously. Taehyung was lost in some kind of daze he, he didn't reply. Jimin moved forward as he cupped taehyung's face.

"Taetae?"

With empty eyes and a strained expression, Taehyung chuckled dryly. Jimin frowned at his weird behaviour.

"Nothing. Nothing at all."

Taehyung replied as he looked at Jimin in eyes. Jimin swallowed the lump in his throat not knowing how to react.

"Uh...are you sure?"

"Yup!"

Taehyung answered cheerfully. Jimin remained silent for a few minutes and then nodded.

"Wanna go with me to pick up Yoongi?"

Taehyung thought for a second and finally agreed. Both got off from the bed and fixed themselves to look presentable.

Throughout the drive Taehyung was acting extra cheerful which was good to see but that also made Jimin worried. He dismissed his thoughts as he drove towards Jeon Co. Reaching their destination and after finding a suitable parking spot they got out of the car.

Before they could even enter the building, five to six cars entered the parking area. Jimin stopped Taehyung from walking, already getting the idea that Yoongi might be in one of those cars.

His thoughts were proven right when a smiling trio exited a car. Talking and laughing with each other not noticing their presence at all.

Other workers and their important team members getting out of other cars. Taehyung stood there, head ducked down trying to avoid a certain handsome CEO.

"Jimin! You are here."

Namjoon chirped out seeing Jimin standing in front of a hiding Taehyung, arms crossed and expressions showing boredom.

"Hyung. You can even remember my name. wow."

He spoke with an exaggerated accent. Namjoon nervously laughed rubbing his nape.

"Ah... Forgive hyung for not hanging out with you all. I promise I'll ask jin to arrange a dinner so all of us can celebrate Haneul's adoption--"

He stopping talking suddenly as he noticed Taehyung's petite figure.

"Tae is here too."

Namjoon beamed ruffling taehyung's hair who just smiled in return.

Jungkook's eyes immediately darted towards that direction after hearing Namjoon's voice. Heart beating at a faster rate noticing the ethereal being. Yoongi also padded towards the two hugging them.

Jungkook stood at a distance unsure, if he should talk to them or not. But his heart completely stopped beating, when his eyes met taehyung's. He observed as Taehyung told them something and was now walking towards his direction.

He was dumbfounded and startled by taehyung's move. But to his dismay Taehyung stopped midway. He frowned not getting the situation. A man walked past him, as he stood with Taehyung just a few steps away from him.

His jaw clenched shut when he saw Yejun talking to Taehyung. Glaring at the said male he jogged towards the two, maintaining eye contact with Taehyung. Stopping right in front of them he parted his lips to speak.

"Tae, can we talk for a few minutes?"

Yejun had also stopped talking, looking at Jungkook. Taehyung stayed quiet for a few seconds, staring intensely at Jungkook. He suddenly smiled prettily making the two men near him have a mini heart attack.

"Jungkook."

He murmured softly making Jungkook to feel air knocked out of his lungs.

"Wait. Let me answer Yejun first."

Taehyung commanded with a boxy smile. Jungkook peered at Yejun, whose attention was now completely at Taehyung rather than his boss standing next to him.

"Yes......I'll go out with you."

Yejun was surprised but smiled hearing the words as he reached for taehyung's hand and caressed it.

"Thank you for giving me a chance."

He muttered, lovingly gazing at the other who smiled in return."

Taehyung's eyes darted towards Jungkook who stood paralyzed, hurt evident in his eyes, face shocked, jaw clenched and hands curled into fists. Taehyung turned towards Yejun again.

"I'll meet you later. Right now let me talk to my...."

"Future brother in law."

Jungkook's head whipped towards Taehyung hearing his words. Before he could say anything, Yejun spoke.

"Okay I'll text you. I'm so excited for our first date."

Taehyung grinned nodding his head as he bid goodbye to his now 'boyfriend'. Yejun walked away after bowing to Jungkook.

"Hmmm... So what you wanted to say?"

Taehyung questioned with his soothing voice. Jungkook stared at him as he stepped closer to the aforementioned.

"W-what... H-he.."

Jungkook couldn't even make a sentence as his voice trembled. His heart aching, after witnessing the scene he never expected he will. Taehyung calmly moved closer.

"What?....Koo hurry up. I have to go for shopping too. I wanna dress prettily for my boyfri--"

"Shut up."

Jungkook interrupted angrily. His voice laced with fury and betrayal.

"Okay. I'll shut up. As usual."

Taehyung muttered as he tried walking away but Jungkook's hand gripped his arm, making him halt in his steps.

"What the hell was that?"

Jungkook's eyes boring holes in taehyung's face, who seemed unaffected.

"What? Oh that."

Taehyung jerked his hand out of his grip turning his body to face the handsome male.

"That was my response to a confession and a proposal. Did I seem over excited? Oh well I was just nervous you know-"

"Taehyung."

Jungkook's eyes were now filled with tears as he addressed Taehyung, with nothing but vulnerability visible in his tone.

Taehyung stopped smiling too, as he looked away trying to control his own tears. Jungkook stepped closer to him, face just a few centimetres apart.

"Why?"

Jungkook asked with a hoarse voice, Taehyung sniffled. His palms now resting at the man's chest.

"I want to be happy too."

He murmured, tears now streaming down his voice. Jungkook sucked up a deep breath.

"I-i told you...to let me explain once."

"No need...."

Taehyung hiccuped. Jungkook closed his eyes trying to control his tears.

"Nothing c-can be done now. I-it's too late koo."

"No baby it's not. Tell him you aren't ready or anything. Tae please---"

Jungkook desperately uttered. Taehyung shook his head, his head now placed at Jungkook's shoulder.

"Nara...."

He cried out. Jungkook encircled his one hand around his waist the other caressing his nape.

"I'll break things off with--"

Taehyung cried harder as he was violently shaking his head. Jungkook rubbed his back trying to coax him.

"No you won't."

He uttered as he pulled away from Jungkook.

"You would never!"

He hiccuped, Jungkook raked his hand through his hair.

"I will! Just now."

He reached for his phone but before he could.
