I was praying to the Lord, and He might have listened to me.. After 15 minutes when his mom heard no sound from him.. she stopped.. and left the room..

I cut the call, and again called him, hoping he would hear the ring.. And he did. When I saw him.. He was covered with his own blood... there were cuts all over his face, his body..

" Taehyung.." I whispered..

" Come back Maya.. Come back.. I want to live..

I-I want to be with you Maya.. Come back.."

I couldn't even reply and saw he passed out.. I burst into tears.. I couldn't take it anymore.. But I wiped my tears and looked at him..

" I'm coming back TaeTae.. I'll let you live the way you want.."

A month later

When I put my feet outside from the airport, I didn't look back.. I straight took a cab and drove off to somewhere I should be... Well to someone..

It took me an hour to reach my destination.. My heart beated so much that I thought it might explode.. I opened the car door and took a deep breath..

I smiled and started walking to his house..

I couldn't go that far, when I saw the front door open, and someone kicked a boy and shut the door.. I stopped in the middle, and tried to look closely.. and my eyes widened

He just dropped his whole body on his back.. Seems like he was still breathing.. His whole body is covered with dirt, and maybe blood.. His hair was messy.. I ran towards him as fast as I could.. I bent down and took his head on my lap..

" TaeTae.. Baby.. Tae open your eyes Taehyung baby I came back baby, look at me please!!" His whole face was covered with bruises and scratches..

He slowly opened his eyes, and looked at me.." Ba-Baby.. Ma- you came.. back? My-Ma-Maya is back?"

After we settled down.. I cooked some food for him, and fed him.. I gave him a spoonful and he started eating like a baby..

Police got some information... ummm... from your neighborhood... so they raid your house...and umm.. find drugs, and illegal weapons which is why they're.. under custody.." I didn't tell him that the doctor wasn't admitting him, because his condition didn't seem normal, so I've to tell them everything.. and both of them are under custody.. They wanted to question Taehyung, but I told them everything on behalf of him.. I gave him some records, and proofs too..

" So?"

" So now we're leaving this country.."

" Where will we go? What will we do? I don't have money, nor a degree, nor anything that will help me to earn money how-" I stopped him and kissed him.. He was surprised by my sudden action, but he followed my lead after a while.. He held my nape of the neck and deepened the kiss.. This was the 1st time we kissed, after he said he likes me, and the feeling was mutual..

" You talk too much TaeTae.. I told you na that I've arranged everything.. Just trust me okay.." We parted our lips and said

" I missed you.." He looked at me with so much emotion..

" Okay dinner is done.. Now medicine time.." I tried to reach to the side table to get the medicine, but he pushed me on the bed, and hovered over me..

We did all the work for our visa, and finally it was our day to fly off this country, and bury the memories Taehyung had here.. Surprisingly Taehyung was behaving normally.. Once we settled properly, we both took admission in a university.. He was in business management, and I was in marketing development.. We also brought his dog with us.. That dog literally came to the hospital by following us, so we couldn't leave it behind.. Tae really loved his dog.. As much time as he stayed with his pet, he seemed like a lil kid, who just found a new toy to play with.. I really adored them a lot

We both took a part time job to support our expenses.. I didn't tell my parents I'm living with him.. They never actually cared what I'm doing until my results were okay, so we focused on that..

Day by day I realized he totally forgot about his family.. How they used to treat him, how they tortured him everything.. One he was scrolling the internet to find something related to his work.. I was cooking for us, I don't know what happened he started screaming.. I rushed to the room..

" Baby?? Wha- TAEHYUNG!!!"

I made him face me and started kissing him all over the face to make him feel the warmth he was searching for.. And at last he smiled.. I smiled back.." Baby what happened??"

" I don't know... I was watching this video, but suddenly I started to see everything in blur.. and I was seeing like.. my Mom was beating me with a belt.. and I was screaming.. Why would they do it right?? They love me a lot.. Yeah they take drugs, and drink alcohol, but that never stopped them loving me.."

I sighed, and nodded a little.. I thought if he forgot his family's behavior totally, and was happy about it then let him..

Few months had passed and we both got busy with our lives.. I got a phone call from the police, that they were taking further steps for his parents, so they needed to talk to him.. So I let them, because I gave Taehyung a fair idea of what was going on and he knew how to handle the situation if the police asked him something..

As time passed, our love became stronger.. We couldn't stay away from each other for more than an hour.. It was like we got addicted to each other.. And Taehyung was also getting better.. Nobody could say he was a helpless boy who was a little step away from his death.. I'm so much honored to the Lord that he became normal again.. I always took care of it so that nothing made him remember his brutal past.. He became way too much fucking handsome that I feel myself blessed that I got him as my boyfriend.. He knew I had so much on my head. I'm a human being too.. Taking care of him, studying, doing work really made me exhausted.. But Taehyung always tried to cheer me up.. " Okay then.. Suits you.." He released me, and started eating cake.. I was confused.. I thought he'd get jealous or something but... I took the pendant and opened it to see if my photo was still there.. and I got a shock..

The empty side was taken by Taehyung's photo.. He just chuckled and looked at me.. " Did you really think I would let others take that place?? lmao.." He got up and pulled me in by my arm, and held my waist..

" If this place was preserved for someone.. then that one will be me.. For today, tomorrow, and for the rest of my life.. Got it??" He said and I smiled, and he kissed me passionately..

This was the best birthday of my life.. I'll never forget this day, his smile, his promises...

But we didn't realize this will be the last time we'll be this much happy...

After 2 years of struggling.. Finally we graduated with a prestigious degree, and lots of experience.. We both were so proud of ourselves, that we not only studied, but also took care of ourselves, without anyone's help..

" We're going back.."

After 2 months we were back to Seoul.. I told my parents already about him, and said I'm moving in with him.. They talked with him a few times.. Though I didn't inform them that we were back to Korea.. We wanted to start fresh.. So we didn't return to Busan..

Yeah it's true we've our degrees and shits, but that wasn't enough for us to get a decent job.. After trying for months, TaeTae finally got a call from a company.. They hired him as an intern, where I joined another company as a personal assistant of the management group..

We also got some information that his parents got bailed suddenly.. Because the way I gave a statement to the Police, and with the evidence there was no way for them to see the sun again in their life.. Still they were connected with some dangerous people so they might help them..

Days were passing, and I saw how Taehyung was giving his everything for his job.. I'm so very proud of him. If he didn't even prove himself to me, I would still be proud.. I saw potential in him.. He just needed a little bit of push and that was it..

One day he came home late exhausted.. I was cooking something when he came, and back hugged me..

So all of the companies we were working with.. most of them withdrew their deal, and demanded their money back.. I don't know if I will continue this job.. I'm sorry Maya.."

" I've failed to prove myself to you.."

A week later I visited his workplace to process what was actually happening.. What I got to know is that the owner of the company was gonna sell this company to pay the debt.. Taehyung was also there, as he was working with the CEO so he was needed in the meeting..

After the meeting we went to have our lunch. Both of us were eating but our minds drifted to the same place. I started to think how to save him from this blunder, and suddenly something caught in my brain..

" What amount is suggested by your boss?"

" 5 million USD dollar.. Why?" I thought for a while, and looked at him..

" Taehyung.." He looked at me..

" Let's build our own company.."

We literally argued for a week on this and finally I managed to convince him to buy that company.. Of course we didn't have that much money in our pocket, but he talked with his boss, and they agreed on a monthly installment.... Which meant we had to give 50k USD dollars each month.. I started to do two jobs together.. He used all of his links to provide him some loan.. This time was not a happy one.. We were literally doomed, because we were just some normal people who only earn what we need. Our savings were not in an amount that should help us.. But after a lot of effort.. finally we were able to buy our own company..

It took us freaking 2 years to build up our own company.. We were once about to come on the road, but at last we were able to catch our dream.. I joined as managing director in his company, because he saw how I was managing all the office work neatly, so he offered me and I accepted...

I was checking some files and then some old files came in front of me.. Those were 3 to 4 years old. So I didn't bother to read but a name caught my eye..

I opened the files and started reading his files, and the deal he had with previous company.. His company is located in Busan.. Why did this bitch have to bash this company?? This was a small company.. Maybe this was why he attacked this one..

I tried to gather more information about this man, but I found nothing important so I stopped wasting my time on him..

After some months we got an invitation from one of the top companies in South Korea, where people are gonna come from all over the country.. We were so excited because it was a chance for us to engage with more people, who're gonna invest in our company..

" Baby we're gonna get late.. Are you done or not?" I shouted, while adjusting the pendant..

My jaw dropped.. Fucking shit... Why he has to be so fucking handsome!!!!!

" We're gonna be late okay.. Move.." I pushed him hard but he again held my arm and pulled me, and my back crashed on his defined torso.. He moved his face near my ear and whispered.. " You're looking way too sexy love.." I got shivers down my spine.. He chuckled and held my hand and left the house..

Once we enter the venue.. We saw lots of people.. We took a deep breath and entered.. We talked with lots of people, and most of them were happy with the proposal we gave.. and many of them told us they would contact us too..

Then we moved to another person to talk, and when he turned back well...

It was Jack..

I took a little glimpse of Taehyung who fisted his hands, and his lips were thin. I brushed his forearm. " It's okay. You should thank him. Because if he didn't spread the rumor, you wouldn't be here.. Calm down, breathe.." I whispered, and I felt him taking slow breaths

" Hello Mr. This is me Kim Taehyung, and she's my girlfriend Maya.. We're running the Kim Company.."

" Hello.. Nice to meet you.. This is Jack Harvey.. Owner of the John company.. My father retired so I'm now the new owner.." He spread his hand and Taehyung hand shook him.. Then he moved his hand to me.. I smiled and gladly took his hand even when I was mentally gagging..
He suddenly took my hand and kissed it.. "And I must say.. You've got a sexy girlfriend.." He started checking on my whole body and smirked.. I was feeling so uncomfortable.. It's not the 1st time someone kissed my hand tonight, but this one felt... disgusted..

I moved my hand and cleared my throat.. I looked at Tae.. He was not happy with this behavior too.. " So tell me about your company.. I heard you literally bought the company and started running on your own??" Jack asked Taehyung..

Jack started to run his tongue in his mouth and check on me.. I was really feeling uncomfortable around him.. So I signed Taehyung, and he understood and we bowed and moved to another person.. We were talking and greeting others, but I could feel someone's eyes on me.. As if someone was watching me.. I looked around a little and saw Jack was looking at me in the most nasty way.. He bit his lips when I noticed him..

" Taehyung.."

" Yes baby??"

" I want to go home.."

" Why we've so many peo-"

It's been 5 months since that party.. We got so many calls from different companies, and paired up with them.. Things were going good.. We changed the design of the company and updated it.. In between I faced Jack many times, but all of the times he came here for work.. I didn't talk with him, and let Tae handle the issue.. But somehow he found a way to approach me.. And whenever he did, he tried to touch me.. and pretended like it was an accident which was not.. I started feeling uncomfortable around him, and he was satisfied with it..

I told Tae about this, and he fairly told Jack not to come anywhere near me, until it was about work.. He didn't take it normally I guess..

One day I stayed a little bit longer than usual in my chamber, when suddenly I heard a knock..

" Come in.." I said without looking at who it was..

" Hey babe.." It wasn't Taehyung.. It was Jack..

" What are you doing here late at this hour??"

" Nothing much.. Just wanted to give you some company.." He said and smirked

" Well I don't need it, so thanks.. You may leave.."

" Ah don't be so boring Maya... I saw you are always busy with work.. Come'on live a little.." He said and came beside me..

" I live in my work.. Thanks.."

" I'm not talking about that live babygirl.." He came so close to me, and I couldn't even move..

" Jack.. Move.." He started to caress my ear with his nose.. I had my enough

I went home right after that and told Taehyung everything.. He was so furious.. He wanted to kill him but I stopped, because soon there will be an announcement of an award show which we took part in.. So in between if some scandal leaked.. We'll be doomed, and I don't want that.. After freaking 9 years.. finally we're about to catch our dream, and I can't let anyone ruin that..

We reached the middle of the jungle where we saw nothing but trees.. We were totally lost..

We were about to step further but suddenly someone attacked us from behind.. Taehyung fell on his back, where I rolled over a bit away from him.. My vision went blurry a little, but I saw someone start beating him, and when he passed out.. They dragged him away from me..

" T-T-TaeTae.." I could only say this one name, and I passed out..

I woke up after two days, in the same spot.. I started to process what happened, but my mind became blurry.. I stood up, and started to walk despite my whole body being in pain.. I didn't eat for days.. Didn't find anything to eat.. And when I did.. All were rotten food, still I ate them, just to survive.. In the night I used to run from here and there to survive, until one day some people found me and brought me here..
