Hoseok's P.O.V

I feel literally on cloud 9 because I knew from the start this day would come. No one believed me and doubted me when I said Taehyung can cure Areum. While Areum was healing him too.

" I see your feet's not gonna come in any time." Namjoon mocks

" Well of course. At last my prediction became right. Hey Hyung. What about kicking my ass huh??"

" You really want it ha? Come here. Gennie Yoongi is here to fulfill your wish!!" Hyung calls me but I move back a little.

" Ahh Hyung, why do you need to do this much hard work ha?? It's okay let's forget it okay? Yeah yeah past is past right!!" I laugh nervously

" Gggeeeezzz Hobi's ass getting whipped by hyung. ahh this is the thing that is keeping me alive. Please continue. Yah hyung just kick his ass okay?? You see how he was behaving with you." Jungkook says

" I heard Areum and Hobi caught you in something. Care to tell me what is happening behind my back??" Hyung says, and I snort

" aa-I-Umm Look Areum is here." We all look at the door but no one is there. We again look at Jungkook, but he's long gone, just some footsteps on the staircase remain, and we realize he's long gone. We laugh a little.

But suddenly we hear again someone coming downstairs.

" Now what?" Namjoon asks Jungkook.

" Sorry to bother but has Jin hyung contacted you recently?"

" Why would he contact me?? I finished the work he wanted to cover before coming here. I'm on leave, why??"

" Fuck!!"

" Language." Hyung says

" Sorry hyung, but I'm doomed." Jungkook says worriedly.

" What happened?"

" I came with Areum, but Jin hyung told me to return after some days, because new cases are coming. I told him I would, but after that I didn't call him. and today when I checked my phone, I saw Heejin message me saying hyung called all of the staff under him for a meeting. "

" So?" Namjoon and we all are confused.

" If it is about a meeting then Jin hyung will call me 1st. It's me who informs others. and now I'm the last person knowing about the meeting."

" You're actually doomed Jungkook. Why the fuck you didn't inform him that you'll be late. Don't you know how much he hates people who. who doesn't listen to him?" Namjoon says, but in a low tone.

" Hobi, where's Areum??"

" I don't- oh there she is." I point at the outside.

" I need to leave right now." with that he again go to the upstairs

" This kid." Namjoon sighs " So hyung. Explain everything please."

" There's nothing to explain Namjoon. Everything is in front of your eye. I told you that day that they're spending too much time with each other, and they understand each other pretty well. So it was obvious something will happen."

" What do you mean?" Hyung asks.

" Do you really think Taehyung left the game last night because he's gonna take medicine??"

" Then?"

" He was with Areum. Didn't you see two coffee mugs in Areum's hand??"

" Woah!! Coffee date??!!" Namjoon lifts his eyebrows

" I don't know, but it looks like they had a good time. and something happened which leads Areum-"

" To act like she used to do?" Hyung adds

" Seems like it."

" But is it possible to feel those things again for her?" Namjoon asks

" Feelings are never wrong, Namjoon. People are. If you give your feelings to a wrong person and they can't cherish them okay, they'll destroy it. And I don't think the feeling Areum is feeling right now. she felt before, but still it's all up to her" I heard Hyung sigh a little

" There's light at the end of the tunnel hyung. We're close to it." I smile a little and he smiles back. We all look from the window where Areum and Taehyung are sitting on the bench.

Areum's P.O.V

" Taehyung." 

" Hmm"

" Come. Let's play some games." I say without looking at him. We are a little bit uncomfortable as this is the 1st time we're talking after our. well. Anyway, moving on.

He stands up and follows me. " Please sit." I behave as normal as possible, but I'm literally shaking, and last night images can't stop coming in my vision.

" What is it Areum?" He sits on the bench, and takes my name. Goshhh my name in his voice. It is proven

I'm whipped for him.

" Nothing new. Same thing but different type." I place my hand on my knee, bending down in front of him and look at him. " We're gonna play the word game again." I'm literally giving my life to behave normally.

" Wasn't the last one enough??" He asks

" It's not enough but it's important. We talked about your student life. We'll go further from there okay? Don't worry We'll stop when you feel pain. Now shall we begin??." I stand up

He takes a deep breath and nods. I also take one because this method works best on him, but we need to take a long break because we make the patient's mind work too much in it, so his mind needs time to regain energy for this.

" Taehyung. Close your eyes."

I start to go round and round around him. " Now follow my voice and lead the way. Your name is Taehyung Kim. Age 24. A successful business man who has everything in his life. Who can do anything, who can have anything. Still you wanted to have a decent normal life. You have a beautiful house. A backyard with it. your bedroom where you just spend time sleeping, so you don't use this room that much."
I come in front of him. "You love to cook so you've a kitchen filled with groceries. You also cut your veggies and meat by yourself, you do everything by yourself so you don't need anyone that much. But still, loneliness consumes you a lot so you decided to have a pet. umm the name should be a-"

" Yeontan." He says suddenly and I assure myself that he starts to form the scenario. Perfect!

" Hmm Yeontan. Cute pet who has a handsome master." I see how he smirks. He does know he's handsome huh?

" Moving on. One day you came from your work and was feeling devastated. You thought you worked so hard, but at the end of the day it feels like you've done nothing. You sat on the sofa when Yeontan came and started barking. You patted it, and gave it some food. You again sat on the sofa and closed your eyes. You don't want to remember your past but somehow it started to form in your vision. You were breathing heavily, but couldn't open your eyes." His chest rises and falls fast enough and knits his brows. I stand in front of him.

" Taehyung."

" Hmm."

" Ready?"

He starts breathing heavily and suddenly starts screaming." Taehyung Open your eyes!!. Taehyung, it's okay I'm here, open your eyes." He starts panting heavily and just says one word." Maya. MAAAYYYAAA. MAYA. MAYYAAAA!!!" I start to massage the nape of his neck and he starts to calm down a bit." It's ok Tae. I'm here, calm down. Open your eyes. Slowly. Count with me."

I hold his face. "10.9.8.7. Speak with me Tae." He starts to say the number and tries to open his eyes." 5.4.3.2.1. Slowly."

He opens his eyes and looks at me confusedly . " What happened??"

I take a deep breath. " Nothing Tae. What are you talking about? You were sleeping here and I woke you up to go inside."

" I was sleeping??"

" Mhmm. Why?"

" Nothing. Maybe I dreamt about something but it felt so real." He gets confused about what is happening.

Dream.

" What was the dream??" This dream will lead my way.

" Like I. I was in a house, in my bedroom. There was so much blood so I ran off. Maybe I was running. and suddenly I saw a girl. well a dead girl maybe. and I was. beside her. with a skirt. Areum I don't know after this. All I saw was rubbish things, like what would I do with a skirt?" He says making his face weird.

"You don't know what you did with that skirt and what you're giving me right now." I say to myself

" Didn't you see anything?? Like anything that may have caught your attention?" I ask again

He thinks for a while." Something. something. something shiny but I don't know what it is."

I look at him, and take my phone. I know what will make him remember what it was." Taehyung. was that a ring??"

" Maybe."

I open my gallery and open a specific photo I kept hidden from him. "Tae. Is this what you saw in your dream??

His eyes become wider. then his whole face." Y-Yes it was like this! How! How did you know I saw it in my dream??" He looks at me and I smile.

" Because I control your mind, remember?? Now tell me one thing. Where did you see it?

He starts to think again, but looks like he's struggling for it." Umm. a girl's finger. knife. cut. finger. mine." He holds his head because of the excessive headache he's feeling.

" Here, drink this." I gave him a glass of water with medicine in it. He drinks it all at once. Then I give him some chocolates which will calm his nerves down. " Come with me. You need to medicate." Which I meant he needs to sleep.

I hold his hand and he holds it tightly. I look at him. I'll go to the end of it to find you the way Taehyung. Don't worry.

After I leave Tae in his room. I go straight to the study room. I need to study the information I've found.

I turn on my laptop and open that specific file named "Trouble" which has become the biggest part of my life right now. I start to read his file again. He said he was running from his house, and his bedroom was full of blood, which meant he was attacked. No wonder why I found bruises on his face when I saw him for the 1st time. He saw the dead body of a girl. I assume he was talking about the body we've found. I asked him about color 3 times, and he answered a different color each time. Which meant these colors are connected with the scene he was seeing.

1st purple. What does purple mean?? 2nd red which of course meant blood. and last is blue. Why blue?? I was scrolling his file when I saw the skirt again and the color was light blue. So he pointed to the skirt. okay then.

Now this name. Maya. Who's this Maya?? He literally didn't use another word when he started saying this word. I assume Maya is his lover, or someone important in his life. But the word he meant for her meant something bad might happen?? Which led him here?? A Romeo who lost his sense after Juliet's death?? Interesting. But wait. He pointed to the rainbow as Maya too. Was Maya bisexual? or in LGBTQ+??? But how did h-

Suddenly something catches my mind. The colors!! Why didn't I think of it before??

Rainbow has 7 colors, and purple is the last one which indicates. Love. Bond. and the 1st time he said purple. Did he mean about Maya from the beginning?? Does Maya mean purple to him??

Also the ring. When I showed him the right, he got frustrated. Is there any way that ring belongs to Maya? even if it does, why did he cut the finger for the ring?? He could have kept only the ring. Why did he cut her finger?? Gosh nothing coming in line Fuck it!!

I got so lost in my work that I didn't realize Hobi came into the room.

" Problem in paradise?"

" What?"

" I meant to say you were in your heaven hours ago, and now literally you were drowned on that screen so I thought you're having problem in paradise hehe" Hobi says

" Something like this Hobi. You never know when, how, or what you get from your surroundings."

" What did you find this time?" He places some books on the table, and turns back.

" Some pieces of the puzzle which made the puzzle even more critical."

" Hm. Do you need help?" Hobi starts scrolling his phone.

" Hobi. I think I found a lead on Taehyung's case."

" Which is."

" The name of the lead is Maya."

" What?" He stops scrolling and looks at me.

" Yes. Maybe if I search about her. I might find something."

" Who's she?"

" As per my research. She's someone close to Taehyung. and she kept a big impact on his life. I used the word method today, and he used this Maya word too many times. He was screaming at one point. She's someone important Hobi I'm telling you."

Hobi looks at me for a while. After a long pause he says " And you're taking it normally??"

" Huh?"

" I-I mean you found someone related to him. Don't you feel something about this lady who's having an impact on him."

" Hobi. He's my patient okay? I'm basically happy that I found someone who might help me. If this person is alive then she'll be the one who'll solve this case 2 times faster. Why would I feel something about her, or her being an impact on Taehyung??" I feel really confused.

" Umm nothing. Anyway, I'm heading to the hospital. Do you need something from there?"

" Actually I gave Taehyung a little bit more pressure than usual. He might need therapy for it. Or he might not recognize me after he wakes up lmao. So I'm bringing him with me. Can you manage it?" I ask

" Consider it done. We're leaving in 20." He says and takes some other books and leaves the room.

After he leaves I again look at my laptop. I see only two photos repeatedly.

If what he said somehow makes sense then there might be someone in his life whom he loves the most. I can't lie to myself. Everything about her. Everything is pointing in one direction. Taehyung loves Maya. He loves, or loved her way too much which led him here.

What we had in the past few days. I don't know if that affected him, but that affects me a lot. I mean a lot. I know why Hobi was asking me why I'm taking this normally. Because I've to.I've to be professional here. and about Hobi's concern.

I lied to him. It hurts. It fucking hurts like hell.

" ARREEEEUUUUMMMMM" I hear someone screaming my name

I looked back and saw a panting Jungkook.. " Don't tell me now Namjoon Oppa saw you're showing you nom nom to Suzy.."

" For fuck sake why would I show something like this to her. If I really want to, I'll give her a live show." He pants and laughs

" Ggggeeezzzzz shut up you nasty bitch. Why're you screaming??"

" I'm leaving for the asylum."

" Why?"

" It's your obsession. He's gonna kill me if I don't meet him today. He called for a meeting. and I just found out about this."

" Don't tell me he didn't call you."

" He didn't. Heejin messaged me. Listen hyungs are here to help you, beside you have yourself to help. I think right now it's imp-"

" It's important for you to meet Seokjin Oppa 1st. You should stop worrying about me Kookie. I'm perfectly fine." I cut his word

" Areum. If you say I would stay, and call hyung tha-"

" Kookie."

He sighs a little. " Fine then. I should leave." He hugs me tightly." I'm gonna miss you. Please come back as soon as possible. and beside."

" Hmm??"

" Use protection.. We don't need little Areum or Taehyung this soon.." THE FUCK??? I pushed him so hard and he chuckle..

" Go to hell!!! "

" That's where I'm going." He says with a smile, and I can't help but hug him again.

" Facetime with me sometimes okay?? And inform me after you reach there. And please don't do something in the asylum you did last time with Suzy okay?? Take care of her."

" Okay my Mom. Now may I go?." I release him and nod. He places a kiss on my hand." I love you. Will miss you." I just smile as he leaves my hand and leaves the premises.

I wave to him and turn back and my smile has gone.

" You said we're about to go somewhere. I'm ready." Looking like someone is extra happy today.

I smile. " I'm ready too Tae. Let's go."

During the whole ride I didn't talk with anyone. I was in my own world. Well with Taehyung though. I was thinking about everything that happened in the last few months. If this Maya is still alive then where's she? Also if I found her, will she be the one who can keep Taehyung normal for the rest of her life??

" Areum."

I wonder what that ring meant. Why did he point out different colors each time? Is all of the color meant for Maya who is just an imaginary person to me??

" Areum??"

I think I should do this trick once more, but he's too weak right now. His mind needs some rest. Or he'll forget recent events too. I think I-

" AREUM!!!" Someone shakes my shoulder, and I jerk up " Ha?"

" I was calling you so many times. Where have you been?" Taehyung asks.

" I-I. I was thinking about.ummm. a case I'm working on. I'm gonna meet him when I go back. Why?"

" Oh. I'm thirsty." He says

" Oh. Here." I open my backpack and give him some juice, which is mixed with his medicine. He needs to be normal until I give him the therapy.

He takes the bottle and starts drinking, but gets choked for drinking too much at a time.

" Yah careful Tae!!!. Are you a kid or what? Look how you ruined your shirt." I take my handkerchief and start cleaning.

" Sorry I just."

" It's okay." I smile at him, and he pouts

We didn't realize Hobi was watching everything from the front mirror, as he sighs a little.

We reach the hospital after a while. " Woah. This is big." Taehyung gets amazed by the front view and I just chuckle.

" Because it has someone's blood, sweat, and tears in it, same as you've for your company Taehyung." He knits his brows.

" Presenting the owner of one of the top hospitals in this country AKA Jung Hoseok." I look at Hobi and he just gets shy, lowering his head and starts smiling.

" OMO this is insane. Hobi. You've really become my favorite person. I love you already." We just chuckle and Hobi pats Taehyung's back." Let's go inside."

We go inside the building, and Hobi introduces everything in the hospital. He's listening to him carefully. As if he's having some idea of how the hospital works.I walk behind them, smiling a little. I wonder what made Taehyung like this that he became a demon. but there's an inner child in him. I just need to find that.

We go to Hobi's chamber to relax a little. Hobi turns on his computer and sits with us. " So Taehyung. What do you think about this hospital??"

" Best one I've seen so far. Literally I'll come here from now on. Will that be okay?" Taehyung looks at me." It's not my hospital so." I reply

" Of course you can come, Taehyung. Why're you asking permission?"

" I'm not asking to just come here. I'm asking for my company as well. I want to work with you, with your hospital. It'll help me so much to have a person beside me who actually knows what it takes to run a business." Me and Hobi look at each other. What is he trying to say?

" Tae, are you okay?" I ask.

" Yes , why?" He shrugs his shoulder

" Umm nothing actually." It's a good sign that Taehyung is behaving normally, but this is too much in this early stage. His being normal is kinda making me tense. I hope he doesn't do something that ruins all of my hard work.

" Actually Taehyung I would love to pair up with you, but before that you need to be cured properly okay?? And will you mind waiting for some minutes here?? I need to talk with Areum about something." He asks

" Sure. I've no problem." I look at him knitting my brows when he holds my arm and drags me out of the room.

" What is it??"

" Areum you can't hide things from me." He gets serious.

" Am I hiding something?? I can't remember." I narrow my eyes

" Taehyung."

" What about him?"

" Are you sure you're taking things normally?" Hobi can read me. After all, he was the one who treated me.

I sigh and look at him." Even if it's not. I've to behave like it is, Hobi."

" Why're you doing this again??? You know the aftermath of your actions right??"

"I know but things are different now. Besides, I'm this close to solving this case. I'm not gonna move back, Hobi."

" What about you?"

" What about me?"

" Are you strong enough to face this again??" I tear my gaze from him and look other ways.

" Even if I'm not. I've to be Hobi." I look at him again." No one has the ability to break me. No one ever had."

" But you-"

" MAYYAAAAA"

We both get distracted by some screams.

" MAAAYYYAAA." What??

" Mmaayyyyaaaaaa" We both look at each other and our eyes widen.

" Taehyung." We speak at the same time.

We follow the scream and run in front of a room which is locked. We see some wardboys trying to hold Taehyung. But he becomes totally mad and throws his hands and legs to get away from the boys.

My eyes widen seeing him again in the same position Namjoon Oppa had found him. "Taehyung!!!"

I rush to him but he doesn't even recognize me." Open this door!!" " Maaayyyaaa" "MAAAYYYAAA" " FUCKING OPEN THIS DOOR LET ME GOO!!"

"Taehyung calm down. Taehyung, look at me Taehyung." I try to hold his face but he pushes me so hard that I hit my head on a bench. I hiss in pain and feel something watery starts to flow from my head. I touch my forehead and my fingers stained with blood.

" Areum!!" Hobi tries to come to me but I stop him. I wipe the blood with my sleeves and go to Taehyung.

" Taehyung, look at me Taehyung."

" OPEN THIS FUCKING DOOR. LET ME GOO. MAAYYHAAA MAYA CAN YOU HEAR ME MAYAAA."

I look at the door and try to see through the glass. A girl sitting there, reading something, who has no fucking idea what is going on outside her room.

I look at Taehyung again and see how much bloody his eyes look. His nerves are visible on his forehead. I take some time and harshly hold his face to look at me.

" Taehyung. Purple?"

For the 1st time he looks at me while his eyes are throwing dagger at me.

"Taehyung. Purple??" He calms down a little and nods slowly.

" Taehyung. Mine??" He again nods and I take a deep breath.

" Taehyung. Stab??" He starts to panic again but I hold his face and make him look directly in my eyes to distract him from the surroundings.

"Taehyung... Maya??" This time his face becomes soft as he starts sobbing loudly.

" Let me goo. Maya. Open the door. please." He starts crying like a baby and begging me to open the door. Tears glisten in my eyes too but I don't let him see that.

" Let me goo. Let me see. I want to see her please. Mayaaa." He places his head on my shoulder and bursts out crying. I hold him tightly and let him cry.

I start to rub his back to calm him down. I look at Hobi and nod a little.

He gets the idea, and tells a nurse to bring something, and when she does. Hobi carefully lifts Taehyung's sleeve and pushes the injection. He tries to get away from me but I hold him tight and after a while, he totally passes out and falls over me.

I let out the tears I held for so long and bury my face on his shoulder. Why do I've to witness this again?? Why do I've to see him in this state again? Why can't he smile all the time?? Why the fuck his tears fucking hurt me so much?? Why? Why? Why??

I wipe my tears and look at the door. That girl is still reading that book. She doesn't even look at the door for one. She doesn't have any fucking idea what is going on, but I know what is going on.

I lift up his head, seeing his sleepy face soothes me. Who would say he became a rebel minutes ago?? I look at him without blinking. I kiss his forehead, his eyes, his nose, his cheekbones, his soft skin feels butter against my lips. I kiss every tear stain left on his cheeks. I kiss his lips and devour the feeling, then I again look at the door.

" It's time to show me the way.... Maya."
