Regret: Part 32
Gil quickly placed the empty potion bottle in his pocket and blended himself among the buildings, creeping stealthily as to not get caught. His eyes traveled until they caught what he needed.
He smiled slyly as he creeped forward, following their every move. And then, they stopped, which made him stop as well. He grimaced at the sight.
Their lips were pressed onto each other's, arms wrapped around each other.
Gil gripped the bow in his hand and knocked the poison arrow, aiming.
Jesse will love it if her lover boy is gone first.
That traitor, that bastard, he thought angrily. Leaving us, betraying us for them? For her?
The weapon was warm and his hands were cold, squeezing it so tight that his knuckles were turning white. Thoughts were twisting in his head, words taunting him to do it.
He closed one eye and aimed the arrow towards his old friend, companion. Now, enemy. And then, he let go.
The arrow spun and released, traveling quick as lightning. The string bounced back into place and nearly hit him in the face.
It happened all too quickly. He saw Jesse's eyes widen, and she suddenly spun them both around. The arrow hit her in the back, the point deep in her flesh. He growled.
Dammit, he cursed, grabbing the wall. It wasn't supposed to hit her. She was supposed to suffer. But not like this.
In the process, he stepped back and the glass bottle fell out of his pocket and onto the floor, leaving some drops of poison on the ground. With a shock, he realized that his pocket was soaked in poison. Out of the corner of his eye he could see Jesse slump to the ground, Lukas catching her in his arms.
He bit his lip and shook his head. He was always too caring for his own good.
Realization struck him and he pocketed his bow, running stealthily but urgently, drops of the green liquid falling behind him and leaving a trail. Jesse wouldn't die, he knew she wouldn't. But that's what made the whole thing a lot more...interesting.
Gil forced a smile on his face.
The plan had begun. And this revenge was only beginning.

"Gil...how are you doing?" Maya asked, cautiously. She peeked into his and Aiden's room, but he was the only one in there.
"Fine, Maya. Don't worry about it." He said dismissively, motioning a hand. She didn't buy it, and closed the door behind her as she entered the room. His back was facing her as he fiddled with something in his hands.
"Gil, I'm serious." She exclaimed, folding her arms across her chest. "Don't play dumb."
"That's the only way we can play, isn't it?" He retorted bitterly, turning around to face her, taking a diamond sword out of his inventory and tossing it dangerously up and down. Maya's eyes grew wide as she froze.
"Where did you get that?" She asked, voice like a whisper.
"I've got my sources." He replied bluntly.
"Gil, whatever it is you're planning, you've got to stop-" she exclaimed in a firm voice, trying not to let her voice shake.
"Maya, can you just chill?" He said harshly, narrowing his eyes at her. He put the sword back in his inventory. "I've changed. Really."
When she gave him an unconvinced look, he sighed.
"What do you think I'm going to do? Murder them?" He joked, but in a serious tone.
"I wouldn't be surprised." She replied, her voice a bit cold.
"Maya." Gil groaned. "I've changed. Just play along. Everything will go back to normal soon."
He turned his back to her, leaning his hands on the little wooden side table, and tapping his fingers, letting himself think. After a moment or two he heard her sigh and footsteps indicating she had left the room. The old door shut with a weary creak.
Gil grinned bitterly, hands clenching into fists.
Play along. Everything will go back to normal.
Very normal indeed.

It was night again, and Gil creeped through the darkness, dressed in all black, searching for a specific house. Once he spotted it, he quickly picked the lock, opened it, and jumped inside as quietly as he could. The wooden floor creaked a bit, and he stopped before taking a few good looks around the house.
Then he began to search for those glass shards.
A few snores caught his attention. Ivor was on his bed, half of his body on it and the other half off, the blanket in a weird position. He rolled his eyes as he slept talk and murmured.
His house was full of books, potions, and a bunch of other things that Gil wasn't concerned about.
Finally, he spotted the shards on a table, sparkling in the moonlight that stretched through the window. He grinned slyly, taking out some gloves, a thick bag, and a cloth. A cloth soaked in blood.
Aiden's blood.
*Flashback*
"I'm fine, I'm fine."
"Let me see."
"Jesse-"
Gil watched as Jesse lifted up Aiden's jeans, revealing a bloody cut, the red substance leaking out and leaking everywhere. He resisted the urge to grimace, and not because of the blood.
Look at them. All lovey-dovey for each other. Blech.
He forced himself not to react in any way that would blow his cover, and took out of his pocket a cloth. He then handed it to Jesse, smiling.
"Here, use this."
She nodded her thanks before pressing the cloth against Aiden's wound, soaking up the blood.
Perfect.
"What happened? There wasn't anything near you that could've cut you like this." Jesse asked Aiden curiously, continuing to hold the cloth.
"It's-I think it's an old cut. It just opened up again." He replied, and Gil mentally scoffed. He knew exactly where he got the cut. Little coward just didn't want to mention it.
"What were you doing? Playing with glass or something?"
"If that's what you think."
Gil remembered clearly, him 'accidentally' tripping Aiden, causing him to scrape his leg on a nearby ledge. It happened back right before they left and went through the portals.
After a few moments, Jesse took off the cloth, now soaked in blood.
"Sorry Gil, you want me to get rid of it or-?"
Gil shook his head and have her a warm smile, taking back the cloth.
'It's fine, I'll just wash it. At least it served some purpose."
Inside, his mind was spinning, filled with thoughts.
This little blood-stained cloth would help serve a huge purpose. One that everyone would be too blind to see.
*End of Flashback*
Gil placed all the shards in the bag, except for one, using the soaked cloth to carefully apply some of the blood to the piece. Then he walked towards the exit, purposely dropping the stained shard to the ground with a loud cling.
Ivor jumped up from bed, which made him freeze a bit at being caught, even though he knew he was already.
"-SQUID!" He shouted wearily, before spotting Gil. "Hey, you! Stop!"
He chuckled darkly to himself as he swiftly jumped out the window and began running, putting the bag of shards away.
Now it was time to let everything play out.
WOOP WOOP
AND THAT'S HOW IT'S DONE PEEPS
*dabs*
(Everyone: Petrafied don't dab-)
