♛|CHAPTER 3|♛
Moscow, Russian Manor
'Vladimir Ivanov' didn't know why he was called to the don's office. The last mission on which he had gone was a successful one. He had been able to find out a lot of dirt on the Swedish Don. Vladimir was a Spy for the Russian Mafia, he had been working for the Don for the past 10 years. He couldn't help but think back to his previous missions, if he had done anything wrong. He knew that Don was not a very patient man. If anything would end up to be wrong, he knew he would land up in the dungeons for sure.
He reached the office and knocked on it.
"Come in "was heard.
After entering the room he saw that not only the Don but also his sons were present at the moment. He then greeted them "Good morning Don Antonov, Master Demitri, Master Caesar."
He heard Master Caesar ask his father "Father what is the meaning of calling Vladimir here?"
Don Antonov replied "Sit Vladimir."
Vladimir nodded at took a seat.
Don Antonov then again spoke "The German have increased their security by 50, and also tightened their boundaries. The number of men at the borders have also increased."
"Yes master, I noticed" said Vladimir
"Look at this picture this is Arnold Wolff holding a small girl."
Master Demitri then said "But he doesn't have any granddaughter right? From what I know he has 2 grandsons."
"Yes, she looks a little familiar but who is she?" asked Master Caesar.
"That's what you have to find out Vladimir. Find out all that you can about this girl as soon as possible and the reason of the increasing security. I feel that they are somehow connected" said Don Antonov.
"Okay Don, I will work on it immediately." Replied Vladimir.
'Igor Antonov' saw Vladimir leaving the room.
He still couldn't remove the girl face from his head. It was as if he knew her but couldn't remember.
His sons were discussing about the current status of their cover business.
Igor personally didn't have any enmity with Arnold Wolff, but after everything that happened he couldn't help but hold Arnold accountable.
He remembered his son and grandson. How everyday they used to eat breakfast together and go to work. How his wife and daughter-in-law prepared delicious food. How they used to wait for all of them to return.
He still regrets that day, the day when he had to send Victor and Axel to Mexico. All the problem lied there.
And now his son and beloved grandson are away from him, all due to the daughter of Arnold.
Since that day forth his wife has been broken inside, she looks at the door as if waiting that her son will suddenly appear out of blue. He knows that she tries to be strong for the rest of her family but she can't hide it from him, after all he is her husband.
'Demitri Antonov' looked at his father. He had a stone cold face lacking any emotions. The only time you could ever see him with any emotions was when he was with his wife or grandsons.
Even though he had a stone cold face Demitri knew his father well. He could sense the whirlwind of emotion brewing inside of him. Today was the day marking the 5 years departure of his youngest brother and nephew. His father was even colder on this particular day since the past 5 years, after all this was the day he had lost his youngest son and grandson.
Demitri still regrets letting his brother go without him. He still thinks that all of this could have been avoided if he had gone instead of Victor.
He was always the stricter one, whereas Caesar was the open-minded one. Caesar always used to play pranks on people and used to blame it on Victor. Victor being the sweetest and the youngest brother always took the blame. He could always melt his mother's anger with his sweet smile. He still remembered when they were younger and how Caesar had pulled a prank on their mother.
Demitri was going to the kitchen when he saw this younger brother creeping out of the kitchen like a rat with a smirk on his face.
So he went to Caesar and asked" Why are you smiling Caesar? What did you do this time?"
Caesar just innocently smiled and said" Nothing, absolutely nothing."
Just the next second he heard a loud sound followed by his mother's scream.
He pulled out the pocket knife from his pocket which he had kept for emergency situations. He ran into the room, there he saw his father along with the guards holding their gun in hand.
As they couldn't find anyone, he heard his father turn towards his mother and asked her "What happened дорогой(sweetheart)?
She then pointed towards the dining table where the plate in which she was eating cake was burst open??
All of them then turned to Caesar who was standing at the edge of the door smirking.
As soon as he saw everyone he pulled his innocent smile and said "I didn't do anything. It must have been Victor"
Everyone looked at him knowingly. Everyone knew that it was just Caesar blaming things on Victor to get out of trouble.
Victor suddenly entered the room and looked around. He then gave everyone a quizzical expression. After looking around the room carefully and assessing the situation he understood.
He looked at his mother with a polite smile on his face and said "Sorry мать (mother)".
His mother looked at Victor lovingly and caressed his face and said "No problem".
Reminiscing the old memories bought back the thoughts he had buried deep within.
