<The following morning...>

The moon had already set and it was sunrise. The inviting sunlight shone through the window and onto Moon's face.

Grabbing onto her pillow, Moon groaned as she rubbed her eyes. She felt like she had only slept for only a few hours.

Suddenly, someone shouted from outside her door.

Harmony: "Moon! Time to wake up!"

It was her aunt, Princess Harmony, the hardworking herbalist who is a specialist when it comes to herbs and medicines.

Moon rubbed her eyes as Harmony casually entered the room with a tray full of appetising food.

Harmony: "I brought breakfast for you this morning. It's your favourite pancakes!"

Harmony placed the tray on the table beside Moon's bed. As Moon turned to look at her, Harmony gasped in shock.

Harmony: "You look awful! And look at your eye bags under your eyes!"

Moon: "You are just over exaggerating again."

Moon got up from her sleeping position and stared aimlessly out of the window.

She didn't forget about the night she had with Orion and how he saved her...

But Moon couldn't possibly just tell anyone about her experience as an Mermaid. So, she decided to keep quiet about it until she finds out more.

Moon: "I just had...a sleepless night..."

Harmony: "Where you overworking yourself again, Moon?"

Moon: "You can say that."

Moon was not telling the full whole truth but, she was not lying either. Harmony knew how hard it was being the only princess of the royal rulers...which made her abandon her own duties...

Harmony: "Your Father has been hard on you lately. Do you want me to tell him to tone down a little?"

Moon: "No, it's fine."

Harmony carefully poured herbal tea into a cup and passed it to Moon.

Harmony: "Here, drink this. It will help get you back on your feet again."

Moon nodded as she took a sip of the tea.

Harmony: "I have to leave for work now, if you have any problems, you know where to find me!"

Moon: "Thank you."

Harmony: "And remember to take care of yourself! No one is going to steal those bags under your eyes!"

Moon: "*Giggles* I will."

Harmony waved goodbye to Moon and exited out of the door.

She glanced down at her tea and sighed.

Moon: "Another day of work..."

<In the hallway...>

After finishing up her delicious plate of pancakes, Moon quickly got dressed and left her room.

That was when a voice called out to her.

Rose: "Good morning, Moon."

Moon: "Mother?"

Rose greeted her daughter with a kind and warming smile.

Moon: "Why are you doing here?"

Rose: "Can't I see my own daughter?"

Moon: "Mom..."

Moon knew her mother too well, she knew she was up to something. Good nor Bad.

Rose: "Okay, Okay, you got me."

Rose locked her arm with Moon's and joyfully said.

Rose: "There's someone I want you to meet!"

Rose winked.

Moon: "W-Wait who-"

Without warning, Rose pulled her to the other side of the hallway. Making Moon even more suspicious.

Rose: "There they are!"

Rose pointed to the three men, sitting down at a table having some sort of discussion. Moon recognised her dad and King Arthur among the three, expect for one...

Rose: "Come on!"

Rose dragged Moon with her as they walked to the table. Noticing the two ladies approaching them, they all rose to their feet.

Hawk: "Rose, Moon, I'm glad you're both here."

Rose: "It's a very exciting morning, isn't it?"

King Arthur stepped up and said.

Arthur: "Moon, it's delightful to see you again."

Moon: "Likewise."

He then gestured his hand to the man standing beside him.

Arthur: "Princess, I will like you to meet my son. I told you about him yesterday."

The prince, who was standing behind his Father, walked towards Moon. He kindly bowed and introduced himself.

Aiden: "It's nice to meet you. I'm Prince Aiden, the first prince of the kingdom of Dawnville."

The prince bowing before her was a very attractive man. Aiden had radiant light brown hair. As he made eye contact with her, he regarded her with beautiful green eyes.

Moon: Those green eyes...

Moon was mesmerised by his lovely features.

Moon: "I-I'm Princess Moon, it's a pleasure to meet you too."

Moon immediately took the hems of her dress and curtsied.

Hawk: "Well, we will leave both of you to get to know each other better."

Hawk, Rose and Arthur hurriedly left the scene, leaving Moon and Aiden alone together. She knew what they were up to.

Moon felt shy and embarrassed being around with such an handsome prince who was standing a few inches away from her.

Aiden silently laughed to himself. He found Moon to be quite cute.

Aiden: "I guess you don't remember me much, do you?"

Moon looked at him with confusion.

Aiden smiled as he leaned in and whispered into her ear.

Aiden: "You are still as beautiful as a White Rose..."

Moon was in utter shock. Those words sent shivers down her spine...

Which triggered her mind about that one fine day...

<A few years ago...>

Maid: "Princess! Please stop running!"

The young princess ran as fast as she could until the maid was lost from her sight.

Young Moon: "Yes, she's gone..."

She stopped right on her tracks as she gasped for air. All the running drained out all her energy.

Young Moon: "Why do I have to attend all those annoying gatherings?"

Moon said in an irritated tone. Observing her surroundings, she noticed that she ended up in the castle's garden.

Her face lit up with excitement at the sight of all the flowers. Suddenly, she spotted one kind of flower that she favoured the most.

Young Moon: "White Roses!"

The eager princess dashed towards the patch of white roses and kneeled down in front of one.

Unlike a normal Red Rose, White Roses have white petals. Symboling innocence and purity.

Moon knew her Mother's favourite flowers were the traditional Red Roses. As for her, she preferred the simplicity of  White Roses.

Young Prince: "That's a nice flower."

An unknown voice came out of nowhere which made her jump in surprise.

Young Prince: "Sorry! I didn't mean to scare you..."

Moon turned around and tilted her gaze towards the owner of the voice.

A young boy stood behind her, staring down at her. His beaming and cheerful green eyes sparkled under the sun, reflecting thousand rays of sunlight.

She could tell that he was around the same age as her and judging by his regal clothing, he was a boy of high status.

Young Prince: "You know..."

The boy bend down beside her and looked straight into her light blue eyes.

Young Aiden: "You're just as beautiful as the White Rose."

Moon cheeks immediately flushed with embarrassment. She didn't expect a boy, whom she had never met before, to say those words.

Arthur: "Aiden! Aiden! Where are you?"

The prince heard his Father calling from him from a distance. Flashing a final smile to her, he then rushed off...

Leaving Moon at the garden, completely bewildered.

<Back to the present...>

Moon: "It was you?!"

Moon exclaimed as she took a step back from Aiden.

Aiden: "Yes, it was..."

He took a step forward, closing the distance between them.

Moon could not bear to let him see how red she was so she tried to pushed him away. Before she could do so, Aiden grabbed one of her hands.

Moon: "W-Wait...what are you..."

He then placed a small gentle kiss on it.

Aiden: "It's nice to see you again, princess..."
