Getting kidnapped by a Yeti
*Izzy's P.O.V.*
"I can't believe we didn't find the nightmare last night!" I exclaimed as my brothers and I jumped from roof to roof. The previous night, we found a nightmare in the Lair. We went after it, but unfortunately we lost it. Jack told us he would go to the North Pole and warn the Guardians, while we continued to search for the nightmare. Unfortunately, we didn't find the nightmare that night again.
"What are the chances of finding it tonight?" Donnie asked as he run along side me before we both jumped to the next roof. "Honestly, I doubt we will. Well... Alone at least." I answered before doing a front flip over to the next roof. "What do you mean?" Leo asked over his shoulder, running in front of all of us.
"Well, nightmares are actually a bit like horses. Not only do they look like horses, but act like them as well." I started off before jumping to the next roof. "Horses stay and travel in herds. So does nightmares." I said, jumping up, landing on a water tower, sitting down to catch my breath, along with the guys.
"Wait," Raph started, looking up at me as he leaned on against the tower. "You're telling us, that if the nightmare comes back, it will be coming back with friends?" I gave a shrug before answering as my brothers stared at me in shock. "Pretty much... yeah."
"But if it likes to be with buddies, why was it alone last night?" Mikey asked as he sat down cross legged. "There can be many reasons for that." I started as I looked down at my little brother as he looked up at me. "It can be that Pitch is still weak, and only able to make one nightmare."
"Or, it can be that it wasn't alone that night. Maybe it got separated from the others when we saw it, and went back to them when we tried to chase it down." I said, while thinking of every possible reason why it was alone. Every reason I thought of made sense, but the problem was, which one made the most sense.
"Maybe it was a messenger."
"What?" Both Raph and I asked as we turned our heads to Leo, who was looking down in thought, with his arms half crossed and hand on chin. Leo didn't answer immediately, he just kept looking down in thought, but he soon answered again, without looking up from the ground, or moving his arms. "I think that nightmare was a messenger." Leo finally looked back up at us, moving his hand from his chin, and crossing his arms fully.
I frown as I stood up and jump down from the water tower, landing next to my twin, who was also looking at our Leader in confusion. "What are you talking about?" Raph asked, still leaning against the tower. "Think about it. When we saw the nightmare, it didn't try to attack or anything. It got our attention and send us on a wild goose chase." Leo started explaining as he uncrossed his arms.
"Don't you mean nightmare?" Mikey asked with a frown, causing all of us to groan and facepalm. "What?" Mikey asked again, with an even bigger frown. We all just shook our heads at him before Leo continued, "Like I was saying, it got us to chase after it. But after we saw it and chased it, the nightmare just vanished."
"So?" Donnie asked as he scratched his head with his finger. "So, it got into the Lair without any of us realizing it. We had our backs to it, and instead of attacking us, it got our attention. Even after Jack shot ice at it, it stayed and waited until we all saw." Leo said, making us all realize how his reason about the nightmare being a messenger made sense.
"But if it was a messenger, what was the message? And to who was it for?" Raph asked with a frown. "I'm back." I said as I leaned against the tower next to my twin as I looked down. I closed my eyes and breathed slightly as I thought about the message and to who it was for.
"The message was "I'm back", and it was for Jack." I said, looking up at my brothers, who was already staring at me. "Last time Pitch returned, he made a big show at the North Pole with his black sand. After his reveal, North called out to the Guardians and summon them to the Pole, and warned them about Pitch's return."
"This time he's giving the message to Jack..." Leo started again, with a frown and in thought. "Why?" He asked to himself, but we all heard him. "Well Jack is a Guardian. Manny actually chose him to become a Guardian when Pitch returned." I answered him, making him go in deeper thought.
"How did the Guardians defeated Pitch?" Leo asked as he turned to face me. I went to answer him, but stopped myself as a thought came to me. I stood still for a moment with a frown and in thought. "I just realized something... It wasn't actually the Guardians who defeated him. It was his own nightmares." I said with a realizing face, while my brothers looked at me shocked.
"Wait, what?" Raph asked with his face turned to me with a deep frown. "His own nightmares?" I just nodded as I slowly looked down in thought. "His nightmares smelled his fear for the Guardians, and his fear was so strong, that they dragged him down into a hole. Nobody has heard or seen Pitch or a nightmare sense then. Well, until last night."
Leo thought for a moment, before looking back at me. He opened his mouth, about to say something to me, but was interrupted by Mikey, who yelped out in surprise. We all quickly turned to Mikey, who was standing at the edge of the roof. Before anyone of us could ask him what's wrong or what is it, Mikey turned to us with wide eyes as he pointed down the street.
"There was this huge, hairy thing running down that street!"
"Another mutant?" Donnie asked as he run over to Mikey and stood next to him. He took out his telescope and looked through it. "I don't know! It all happened so fast! But it was huge and hairy! And run on two legs!" Mikey exclaimed, still looking down the street with wide eyes. Huge, hairy thing...? I thought to myself with a frown. I turned to Raph, and he was already staring at me with a frown.
We both removed ourselves from the tower and run over to Mikey and Donnie with Leo behind us. While Donnie was looking through his telescope for the huge, hairy thing, the rest of us looked around, trying to see if it was hiding in the dark or something. "Look! Over there!" Donnie exclaimed as he pointed to where he was looking.
We all looked in the direction where he was pointing, and saw a big creature hiding behind the corner. As if it knew it had all of our attention, it turned around and started running away. "After it!" Leo order and we all started running and jumping over the roofs, following it. As we got closer to it, I started realizing that the huge, hairy thing looked familiar, but I can't put my finger on it.
"Don't let it get away!" I quickly snapped out of thought as I heard Leo's order, and started running faster after the creature. The creature decided to run over the road, where the streetlamps where either off or broken, so we couldn't see him clearly. We quickly run over to staircase against the building we were on, and started jumping and sliding down the stairwell.
As soon as we hit the ground, we started running in the direction where the thing went and run over the road. It wasn't long till we finally caught up to the creature. What the... I thought to myself with a frown, because it seems, the closer we get to the thing, the more it feels like I know what it is. But I just can't put my finger on it!
The creature suddenly turned sharply, and run down into a dark alley. Great. I thought to myself in sarcasm as I mentally rolled my eyes. Luckily, it seems that luck was on our side, because the alley the creature run down in, was a dead-in alley. And another bonus, there was one lamp that was working in the middle of the alley. The creature stop in front of the wall, in the dark, and stood still with it's back facing us.
We all stopped close to the light and took out our weapons for just in case. Slowly, the creature turned around and stepped into the light. Mikey and Donnie gasped in shock and surprise, while Leo and Raph just stared at it with a warning glare, while I looked it shocked and surprise, with a frown.
"Phil?"
The creature was a Yeti, a Yeti I know all to well, and he is called Phil. Phil shrugged at me with a guilty smile while still stared at him with a frown, and while my brothers stared at me with question mark faces. I was about to question him, and ask him why he was here, but he suddenly cried something out in yeti. And before we knew it, we all were grabbed from behind. And from the surprise attack, we accidently dropped our weapons.
"Whoa!" We all cried out in shock as yeti's surrounded us and picking us up. "Hey! Put us down!" Raph exclaimed out, annoyed and angry, sending the yeti that was holding him a death glare, but it didn't seem to affect him in anyway. "Hey! What the hell guys!?!" I exclaimed annoyed at the yeti's, but just ignored me. I was about to yell at them again, but my eyes widen when I saw each one had a bag.
"Don't you dare!" I threatened the yeti who was holding me up, but he just ignored me again, and before I knew it, I was shoved into the bag. And from the sound of it, seems like my brothers were also shoved into their own bags. I groaned in frustration and tried opening the bag, but the yeti held on with a tight grip.
I screamed out in anger and started kicking and punching around in the bag, try to punch the yeti that was holding me, or any other yeti that was close. "Phil! You are so dead!" I exclaimed out in anger, as I took a breath from kicking and punching, before I started again. But I soon screamed in surprise and fear, when I suddenly felt like I was spinning.
"Ouch!" I screamed out as in pain as I finally stopped spinning, but fell hard on the ground. Not even a minute later, I heard my brothers screaming out their own pain. I groaned as I moved around the bag, but stopped for a second when I heard a familiar voice.
"They're here!"
I frowned to myself as I heard the voice, and was about to call out the it, but stopped when I suddenly saw two elves in front of me. The elves jumped when saw me looking at them and quickly run away. I ignored them and moved forward to get out of the bag, but soon as my head was out, I froze when I saw where I was.
"There she is." I looked up and saw North standing in front of me with his big, jolly, smile. "Izzy Easter!" He exclaimed in excitement, while the rest of the Guardians stood either next, or behind him. I blinked a few times at him before my frown turned into a 'really' face. But North just kept smiling. "Are you kidding me?" I asked as I got up and tried to get out of the bag, but the bag just kept tangling with my legs.
Before I could fall, two yeti's came over and picked me up and out of the bag. I stayed quite as they picked me up and gave them a soft thank you after they put me down. "I hope the yeti's treated you well?" North asked as he pointed at the yeti's that was standing behind me.
"Oh yeah! I love being shoved into a sack and tossed through a magic portal!" I said in sarcastic, giving North a glare, but he didn't seem to buy. "Oh good! That was my idea!" He said with a laugh, but I just rolled my eyes. But I soon snapped to a direction when I heard someone else laughing.
"She said exactly what I said when I was brought here!" Jack said as he was laughing, sitting on the armrest of the couch. "Jack?" I frowned, but he just send a small wave with a big, cheerful smile. "Hey Izzy!" I frowned even more, and was about to ask what was going on, but was interrupted when one of my brothers got out of the bag.
"Where the heck are we?" Leo asked as he got out of the bag. I turned to my older brother and leader and was about to answer him, but was interrupted when I heard Mikey scream. "Aaahhh!! Elves!!" I spin around quickly, and saw Mikey sitting half way out of the bag while the two elves run away in surprise. I was about to tell Mikey to calm down and that everything was okay, but interrupted again.
"What in the world?" Donnie said as he tried to get out of his bag, but stopped as baby tooth fairies flattered in front of his face. They smiled brightly at him and waved, but he just stared at them with shocked, wide eyes. I giggled at my brother's expression for seeing the fairies, but I soon stopped when I herd my twin giving out a small frustration scream.
"Get me out of this bag!"
I quickly ran over to his bag before any of the yeti's of elves got to him, for their own safety, and started untying the knot. Before I opened the bag, I stopped myself when realized who was in the bag and what will happen if I opened it without warning. "Do not punch me when I open this bag!" I said as I glared at the bag, knowing my twin will feel it.
"Izzy! Get me out of this stupid bag!" Raph exclaimed, even more annoyed. I sighed softly at my twin's temper and slowly opened the bag. "Finally!" He exclaimed as he got out of the bag with a glare, but he soon froze next to me as he stared at the Guardians in shock. The Guardians smiled brightly at my brothers, while Jack and my Dad laugh at my brothers faces.
But the Guardians smiles soon disappeared when they saw Mikey looking around him in a panic look. I sighed softly at my little brother and walked over as he kept looking around with wide, panic eyes, still sitting half way out of the bag. "I'm freaking out!" Mikey screamed as he grabbed his head, as if it was about to explode.
"Mikey!" I called out as I grabbed him by the shoulders and looked him right in the eye. "It's okay." I said calmly, with a reassuring smile. Mikey blinked at me a few times before getting out of the bag, with my help. I smiled brightly when Baby Tooth flew over and giggled when she flew around me in excitement. Mikey frown softly at the fairy, but when she stopped flying in circles, she flattered in front of him with a big smile.
Mikey slowly smiled back at her before turning his head to me with a big cheerful smile. "That's a fairy! She's a fairy!" He said excited, causing me to giggle at him. But he turned back to Baby Tooth and slowly lifted his hand towards her. She looked down and saw his hand slowly coming up. Mikey's hand froze but she just smiled brightly at him, before flying over to him and sitting on his shoulder.
Mikey blinked a few times before smiling brightly again. He turned and saw the rest of the Guardians, who was smiling at him in kindness, and for how reacted to Baby Tooth. "No way..." Mikey started of, surprised, but still smiling, as he saw North looking at him with a smile. "You're Santa Clause!"
North laughed brightly at Mikey's comment before sending Mikey one of his most jolliest smiles. "You can call me North!" Mikey just smiled at him, before turning to Sandy who waved at him with a friendly smile. "You're the Sandman!" He exclaimed excited. Sandy smiled brightly at Mikey, before making a top hat with his dream-sand, and tipping it at Mikey as a greeting.
"He's called Sandy." I said to Mikey with a smile. Mikey nodded at me, without looking at me, before turning to Tooth, who was smiling brightly at him. "You're the Tooth Fairy!" Tooth giggled as she flew over to us. "You can call me Tooth!" She said to him with a smile.
"I'm Michelangelo!" Mikey said proudly, giving a big, toothy grin. "Uh oh." I muttered with a grin when I saw Tooth's face lit up like a Christmas tree, and slowly backed away. Jack must have realized that Tooth was about to 'fingers-in-the-mouth' and grabbed her by her shoulder with a laugh, stopping her. "Whoa! Easy there Tooth!" Jack said with a laugh, which the others (except turtles) returned. "Trust me, you don't want to put your fingers in his mouth." Jack said to Tooth with a chuckle.
"Wait, she was going to put her fingers in his mouth?" Donnie asked as he and the rest of the guys stared at Tooth wide eyed. But after Donnie spoke, Tooth's face lit up again when she saw his gap tooth. "Gap tooth!" Tooth exclaimed excited, and before Jack or anyone else could stop her, she zoomed over to Donnie, and putted her fingers in his mouth.
Donnie yelped in surprise and the others just stared in surprise, while the Guardians and I just laughed and shook our heads. "This is the most beautiful gap tooth I've ever seen!" Tooth squealed in excitement as she checked his teeth. "And they're flossed!" She squealed again as she finally pulled her fingers out of his mouth, which he quickly closed and stepped back.
"You have such beautiful teeth, um..." Tooth exclaimed excited, but calmed down when she realized she didn't know his name. "Uh... Donatello." Donnie said nervously as he stared at Tooth. Tooth just smiled brightly at him as she gave him a small greeted nod. "Nice to meet you!"
"Is she always like this?" Raph asked me, while standing next to me and staring at Tooth with a frown. "Only when she meets new people." I answered with a shrug, as if it was an everyday normal thing to happen. Tooth turned around when she heard me, and blushed to herself when she realized that she got carried away again. But her blush quickly went away when she saw Raph's teeth, when he opened his mouth to say something.
"His sparkles just like Izzy's teeth!" Tooth squealed like a fangirl and zoomed to us. Raph's eyes widen when he saw that he was the next target, and quickly stepped back and raised his hand up to show her to stop. "Whoa there lady!" Raph exclaimed as Tooth stopped in front of him. She blinked a few times at him and flattered back a bit.
Raph slowly lowered his hand down when he saw Tooth flattering back, and was about to say something to me, but he froze when baby tooth fairies flew over and fluttered in front of him, and started squealing as well when they saw his teeth. "Look's like I'm being replaced!" Jack said with a smirk, laughing at Raph's expression, still sitting on the couch's armrest.
"I haven't seen them act like that sense Frosty became a Guardian!" Dad said as he laughed along with the rest of the Guardians. "Why are they squealing like fangirls?" Raph asked as the stared at the fairies with a frown, confused. "They're baby tooth fairies! They're literally like Tooth, just smaller!" I answered with a small laugh. "Clean, shiny teeth for them is like seeing One Direction or Captain America!"
Tooth giggled softly when she saw Raph's expression before deciding to help my twin brother out. "Okay girls! That's enough for now." The baby tooth fairies moaned sadly before flying back to her, after waving to Raph. Raph sighed in relief before saying thanks to her. "Your welcome!" Tooth said as she flew over to Dad.
Raph sighed again in relief, but he quickly got a glare on his face when he saw Phil. "Hey, that was the thing that kidnapped us!" Phil just smiled at Raph as he gave a small wave, while North started laughing joyfully. "It was my idea to send yeti to go and get you!" North said with a big, jolly, smile, which Raph frowned to, but North's smile didn't break.
"You send a yeti to kidnap us?" Raph asked with a frown, which North nodded hole heartedly to. Raph blinked a few times before looking at Dad. "And you agreed to it?" "Hey, it's a tradition mate! We all went through it!" Dad said with a smirk as he crossed his arms. Raph just frowned more as he blinked a few times.
I rolled my eyes before turning to Raph and pointing at Phil. "This is Phil." I said as my brothers turned to him. Phil smiled bigger and waved again at them, Mikey smiled back and returned the wave, but the others just stared confused. "He's actually a teddy bear once you get to know him." I said kindly, which caused Phil to shyly look down.
"As long as you're not sneaking in or taking snow globes!" Jack added with a laugh, causing him to get a death glare from Phil. Phil pointed at Jack warningly before forming a fist and punched it into his hand. Raph laugh at the scene before crossing his arms and smirking at Phil. "I'm starting to like this guy!" Raph said before walking over to Phil and offered his hand to him.
"Raphael." My twin to the yeti with a smile. Phil smiled as he took Raph's hand and shook it with his own before saying something in yeti. "He says it's nice to meet you!" North translated for him with a smile. Raph smiled back and nodded at Phil before stepping back and stood next to me again.
Sandy waved his hand up, catching my brothers attention before pointing at Leo as a question mark formed above his head. "What the...?" Leo started as he looked down at Sandy confused. "That's how Sandy talks. He's asking who you are." I answered as I smiled down at the little dream maker. Sandy smiled back, nodding as he pointed at me before looking back at Leo.
Leo blinked a few before smiling softly at him. "Leonardo." He answered with a small nod. "In case you guys don't know yet, but these are my brothers." I said to the Guardians, and based on their expressions, I believe my Dad and Jack already told them everything. "We know, Bunny told us everything!" North said with a knowing smile.
I returned the smile, but I soon frowned when Sandy suddenly jumped up and pointed at my right wrist as three exclamation marks formed above his head. I looked down and saw my tattoo, before looking back up and realizing that my dad and boyfriend left that part out.
My brothers started laughing at Sandy as he started making question and explanation marks with his sand as he pointed at my wrist with a panic look. I rolled my eyes before kneeling down in front of him and grabbing him on the shoulders. "Calm down Sandy! My dad already knows." I said, as calmly as I can, but Sandy just looked more surprised.
"Oh bugger! I forgot to tell about that!" Dad said, with his Australian accent being heard clearly, as he facepalmed himself. "Yeah, I noticed." I said, standing up as I rolled my eyes. But after I got up, I suddenly realized something. "But before you tell them, mind telling us what were doing here?" I asked the Guardians. And I immediately new it was something big the moment North's big blue eyes shined brightly with excitement.
"I'll tell you! Because you all are Guardians!" North exclaimed in excitement as he threw his hands up in the air, with two yeti's behind him who each lifted up a flaming torch, cheering. That's when the music suddenly started to playing and a whole parade of elves started marching around us, some playing trumpets.
The guys and I frowned in confusion and slowly back up as confetti started falling down. "This is the best part!" North called out excited, and the elf in front of him started playing a drum, and North marched along to the beat on the spot. The two yeti's took that as a que and started twirling their flaming staff's as they walked around us and stopped behind us.
I looked up towards dad and Jack, and saw them both shaking their heads at North. I kept staring around in confusion, but soon stared glaring when I saw Phil giving the book of Guardians to North. North smiled a thanks at before opening the book. Jack must have felt annoyed as well, because he flew over to and landed in front of us, slamming his staff down, sending a strong blast of wind around us and freezing the floor.
The music slowly stopped as the elves slide away on the ice, and North slowly looked over the book that flew into his face from the wind, and stared at us with wide eyes. I looked over my shoulder and sigh in relief to see that the flaming torches were out. "Seriously North? Isn't there a better way to tell them?" Jack asked as he stared at North annoyed.
North stayed for a moment quiet before laughing whole heartedly. "No." He said to Jack with a 'duh' face before it lit up again like a Christmas tree. "Music!" He cried out excited as he waved his arm. The elves smiled brightly and started playing their trumpets again. I groaned annoyed before crying out with Jack, "No music!" The elf send us a death glare before throwing his trumpet down and started walking away after pushing his friend to fall over.
"Okay, now that the music is over..." Leo started as he looked at the Guardians in confusion, before getting interrupted by Raph. "What the hell just happened?" Jack turned to North and gave him a warning glare, before looking at my dad and nodding his head towards us, signaling to him that he should tell us. Dad nodded at Jack before hopping over to us.
"I assume you guys already know about Pitch?" Dad asked as he look at the guys, who all nodded at him, making him sigh softly before continuing. "Well, last night Manny showed up and told us that he has returned." I sighed through my nose as I looked down, knowing that this was bad news. "He also told has that we're going to have new Guardians... You five."
We all gasped in surprise and stared at him with wide eyes, but Dad just nodded at us, telling us silently that he was telling the truth. "But... how?" I asked after a moment of silence. "You're part spirit, and the Turtles are your brothers, which basically makes them part spirit. And because you guys are part spirit, makes you able to be Guardians."
My brothers and I both looked at each other in confusion, trying understand what's going. "I know this a lot to prosses, but you guys don't have to become full time guardians now. You can wait until you all are ready to take the oath." Dad said he laid his hands on Raph's and my shoulder, sending us a reassuring look. "Take all the time you guys need." He finished with a smile, which all gladly returned.
But suddenly, out of the blue, something tackled Mikey to the ground. "Aaah!!! Get it off me!" We all gasped in shock and run over to help him, but we all stopped with a frown when Mikey stared laughing. "Hey! Hahahah! That tickles!" Mikey laughed as we all came over and saw a blue baby dragon on top him, licking Mikey's face like a puppy.
"Is that what I think it is?" Donnie asked as we all stared at the baby mythical creature that was licking Mikey's face repeatedly. North gasped softly as his eyes lit up with wonder when he saw the baby dragon. "It's a snow dragon!" North exclaimed excited.
"A what?" Leo asked, but his question was soon answered when a snowflake came out of its mouth after the dragon hiccupped. The dragon stared at the snowflake in wonder as it float up and tried to catch it with it's foot, but it hiccupped again and let out another snowflake. I giggled softly at it and watched as it got of Mikey and started following the snowflake that floated around.
Jack laughed softly as well before slowly crouching down to it, making it stop chasing the snowflake and stared up Jack who smiled at it. The dragon sat down and turned its head slightly like a confused puppy, making us all laugh. Jack moved his hand towards the dragon and made a snowflake in front of its face.
The dragon jumped back in surprise, before giving a happy yip and jumping on Jack in excitement. Jack yelped in surprise as he landed on his back before laughing when the baby dragon started licking his face. "Seems like you made a new friend!" North said as he smiled down at Jack and the dragon with a knowing smile. Jack just smiled back before he started scratching it behind the ear, which it seemed to like very much, because it started moving its back leg with a joyful smile and its tongue hanging out.
"Who would have thought that a dragon would act like a puppy." I said as I kneeled down next to Jack and started petting it as well. It groaned in pleasure before rolling over and laid down on its back, offering its belly, which I started to scratch, causing it groan again. We all laughed at its groaning, which soon turned into soft snores as Jack and I scratched it to sleep.
But it soon snapped awake when it heard one of the elves bells. The elf froze in fear when he saw the baby dragon staring at him before he started running when it yelped in excitement and started running after the elf, with its tail swinging side to side, like a dogs tail when it's happy. We all continued laughing as Jack and I stood up.
"Where did it come from?" Dad asked as we all stared at the baby dragon, laughing now and then when it tripped over its feet. "It must have hid somewhere in the shop." North said without looking away from the baby dragon. "He's still very young." He soon added as he started playing with his beard, in thought.
"Where's his mom?" Mikey asked as a sad and worried look formed on his as he watched the baby dragon chase the elf. "Good question." Dad said to Mikey as we all realized that the baby dragon might be alone, or his mother is hiding somewhere as well. "She can't be far. Mother dragons don't usually leave their young alone." Tooth said as she looked at us, making North soon nod to her in agreement.
After tripping many times over its feet, the baby dragon suddenly decided to start chasing its tail. I giggled at the little creature's act and determination to catch its own tail, as I walked over to it. Sensing someone close, the dragon stopped chasing its tail and looked up to me. It yip at, happily as its tail started wagging. I giggle again, crouching down to, picking it and held it in my arms as I stood up again.
It started licking my face, causing me to laugh, along with the others, but the whole room went silent when we heard a very loud growl. I frowned as I looked down at the baby dragon, who was looking down at its stomach in confuse. "I know that sound anywhere!" Mikey said as he looked at the dragon with a knowing look. "That's the sound of an empty stomach!"
"He must be hungry." Donnie said but he soon looked at the creature with wide eyes, along with the rest of us, when its stomach growled even louder. "More like starving!" Raph exclaimed as he stared shock, not believing that such a little thing could make such loud noise. Jack look down when an elf walk by and saw it carrying a plate of cookies.
Jack took the plate of cookies from the elf and walked over to me before offering the dragon a cookie. Realizing the food, its eyes lit up and snatched the cookie before munching and swallowing it in seconds. Still hungry, it stared at the plate of cookies and cried silently, begging for more. "Poor thing mustn't have eaten for a while." I said sadly as Jack gave it another cookie, which quickly disappeared down its belly.
The plate of cookies was empty in the matter of seconds, but we knew it wasn't enough for the baby dragon, for it was silently crying after its stomach growled again. "More like days." Jack said as he stared at the dragon sadly. Feeling sorry for the creature, North send one of the elves to get more food, before walking over to us to check the baby dragon.
North checked the dragon all around, from its tail, under its wings, in its ears, its belly, its legs and finally, inside its mouth, before sighing softly in sadness. "You're right," North stared as he stared at the dragon in sadness as he gently pet its head. "He hasn't eaten in days, and from the looks of it, neither cared for."
"You mean he's been all alone for days?" Mikey asked with wide, sad eyes. North nodded sadly at Mikey, but his eyes soon lit up when he saw the elf he send coming back with a bigger plate, but with fruit cake on it. "Fruit cake!" He exclaimed walked over to the elf and took the plate. "This should help!" He said with a smile before putting the cake down in front of me.
Smelling and seeing the fruit cake, the dragon yipped happily and tried to jump out of my arms to the fruit cake. I laughed softly before putting it down and watched it run over to the cake and started eating it up. In a matter of seconds, the whole cake was eaten up and the dragon gave a loud burp, with a snowflake leaving its mouth before laying down on its side with a big smile.
"I think that did the trick!" Dad laughed with a smirk, crossing his arms as he looked down at the dragon as it slowly went to sleep with a full belly. Sandy realized how tired the baby dragon was, and decided to help him out a bit. Sandy walked over to it and sprinkled dream-sand over its head, knocking him out in seconds.
The baby dragon snored happily, and a moment later, we saw the dream-sand forming snowflakes, cookies and fruit cake above its head, showing us what he was dreaming. We all laughed softly at his obvious dream for a while before we started talking about the baby dragon's condition and why its possible alone.
"Either its mother abandon him, or something happened to her." North said after a while, giving the only explanation on why the baby dragon is alone. "Poor thing!" Tooth said as she looked sadly down at it while flattering close to it. I stood for a moment in thought before turning North with a small questionable expression. "You keep saying him... Is the baby dragon a boy?" I asked.
North nodded to me before answering, "Yes, it is a boy. Snow dragon genders are recognized by their colors. The males are blue with white wings, while the females are white with blue wings." Donnie crouched down next to the dragon, his scientist thinking face on, and checked the little guy out. "How big do they get?" He asked without looking away from the dragon.
"Not as big as other dragons really. Each dragon specie has it's own size. Fire dragons are the largest while the smallest are flower dragons. Snow dragons get as big as a horse." North answered as Jack crouch down from the other side of the dragon. "When will he be able to fly?" Mikey asked as he sat down next to Donnie, cross legged.
"Dragons learn how to fly at around 8 weeks." Dad answered with a knowing look, as Donnie stood up and walked back over to the other. I soon took Donnie's spot, and sat down cross legged, which Jack soon decided to do as well. "How come this is the first time I see one?" Jack asked.
"Well aren't many dragons left anymore. Most dragons where slayed by humans in the past. Before they went extinct, Manny turned all the dragons that were left into spirits, so that they could be safe. But unfortunately, it wasn't many, and most of the dragons that survived very young." North answered sadly.
"Dragons mate for life, and the older dragons that survived lost their mate. Without a mate, a dragon slowly goes into depression and dies. And even though there were younger dragons, dragons only start breeding at the age of 16, and they only have one egg at a time." Dad continued for North, also sad for the dragon species.
"A dragon is pregnant for about a year, and an egg hatches in 7-9 months. A baby dragon has to be about 5 years before its parents breed again. Because of the long timeline, it took years for the number of species to rise. Even from today, dragons are still struggling to breed, because their aren't enough of the same species to mate with." Tooth soon added, also sad.
"How many snow dragons are left?" Leo asked as he looked down sadly at the baby snow dragon. "Nobody knows how many are actually left of any dragon specie. And even dough they are now save from humans, dragons still live in fear, so they live in hiding." North answered him. "How old is he?" Raph asked as he walked over and stood next to me. "From his size and wing span, I'll say 3-4 weeks."
Sandy walked over to us and sadly looked down at the baby dragon before turning to the Guardians and formed a question mark above his head. I didn't need to be a genius know that he asked what was going to happen to him. North frowned slightly before he started playing with his white beard in thought. But his expression soon changed to surprise when the Guardian of Winter suddenly spoked.
"I'll look after him."
"What?" Everybody, including me, asked as we looked at Jack in surprise, but he looked at us seriously. Our exclaim must have been loud, because the baby dragon jumped away, but he soon calmed down when Jack softly started petting him on the head. The baby dragon yawned tiredly before standing up and walking over to Jack. He climbed up and laid down on Jack's lap, soon started groaning in pleasure when Jack scratched him behind the ear.
Jack smiled down at him before looking up at us. "I'll look after him. I mean, I'm the bringer of winter. Who better to look after a snow dragon than the Guardian of Winter." Jack said before he started scratching the dragon's belly when he turned on Jack's lap. "How hard can it be?" He added as he smiled down at the baby dragon.
"I don't know Jack, this isn't puppy you take home and take care off." Donnie said, standing behind Mikey, as he looked down at the very dragon who was kicking its foot repeatedly in pleasure. "Who knows what can go wrong." He added but Jack just kept looking down at the dragon with a smile.
"It's a big responsibility Jack. Are you sure you're up to it?" North asked Jack, looking at Jack that said to think carefully before answering. "I'm sure!" Jack said as he look up at North, smiling like a kid who got his first pet. North stared at him with a serious expression for a moment before smiling brightly.
"Okay!" North said happily with a shrug, crossing his arms while the rest of us looked at him as if he's crazy. North just ignored us and looked down at the dragon. "What you gonna call him?" Jack thought for a moment before a smirk formed on his face.
"Blizzard."
"Blizzard?" Both Raph and I asked with a frown. "He's a snow dragon, so he needs a snow themed name, don't you boy?" Jack said as he looked down at the dragon, Blizzard, who yipped excitedly before jumping up and licking Jacks face, making Jack laugh. I laughed at the scene in front of me before smiling at them. "I like it, Blizzard. It fits him."
The others where still staring at us is we were crazy, but their expressions soon turned into smiles as they watched Jack play with Blizzard. It looks like this will be the start of a beautiful friendship.
