Easter

"All hands on deck!" Dad exclaimed as he moved around the Warren, getting Easter Eggs ready. "Everything needs to be perfect!" I sighed softly as I followed after him, trying to help. But my Dad was so nervous and anxious over Easter, he kept getting in the way. "Dad..." I tried to get his attention, but he just kept moving up and down. "Dad!" I called out louder, but it still didn't work. "Oh for crying out... DAD!" I shouted, making him freeze in mid-step before turning around.

"Can you please just calm down!" I exclaimed when I finally got his attention back. "Easter Egg, I can't calm down. Especially now!" He said and started moving around again. "Easter is here, and with Pitch back in the picture, everything needs to be perfect!" He said before stopping and looked me in the eye. "I'm not losing another day with your mom."

I flinched at his comment as I'm remined of what Pitch can do. Easter is very important for both my dad and I. Not just because he's the Easter Bunny and that's how kids believe in him. But because on Easter, both he and I feel my mom, Hope Easter's presence. We don't actually see her, but we feel her, her presence and her love, which is the next best thing.

"Dad..." I started of slowly while following after him. "I understand... Trust me, I do." I said, getting him to stop before he turned around and faced me. "And I want to help, but I can't get anything done if you keep getting in my way." My dad sighed before rubbing his forehead. "You're right... you're right." He muttered as he removed his hand from his face. "It's just that... There is so much that needs to be done, and we don't have that much time."

I thought for a minute before smiling when I got an idea. "Then we get help." I said to my dad before smiling even bigger. "Ninja help." Dad's eyes narrowed in confusion before widening in realize. "No... Na huh! Nope! Not happening!" He immediately said, turning around and marching away. "They can help!" I exclaimed running after him. "They'll get in the way!" "No they won't!"

"Your brothers are not helping with Easter!"

***

"I can't believe you talk me into this!" Dad grumbled as we enter the Lair. I just smiled brightly at him. He's been moping and groaning like this the whole time towards the Lair. After talking and giving puppy eyes, I was able to talk my dad into asking my brothers for help. What he didn't know, was that Jack was at the Lair as well, and that I'm going to ask for his help as well.

"Dudes! Izzy's back!" Mikey called out from the living room when he saw me entering the Lair. "Whoa! And she brought her dad!" He soon added with a big smile when he saw Dad. "Hey Izzy, hey Bunny!" Raph said as he and the others, Splinter and Jack included, walked into the living room. "Hi guys!" I greeted with a happy smile while Dad grumbled his. "What's up?" Leo asked as he sat down in front of the TV and picked up the remote.

"Oh, nothing much." Dad immediately said before I even could. "We were wondering if you guys could help us with something! What's that? You guys are to busy? Oh well! We tried! Thanks!" Dad spoke so quick, not even I could hear or even understand what he said before he grabbed my hand and started pulling me out of the Lair. "Wait! Dad!" I protested and tried to pull back, but he kept heading towards the exit.

"Stop right there Kangaroo!"

Dad stopped immediately with his eye twitching when he heard the Winter Spirit's voice. I nervously looked from my dad to Jack, who was smirking at my dad as he walked over to us. He took my hand and gently pulled me out of my dad's grip and pulled me back to the living room. "Now... can you please repeat the question your dad had trouble asking?" Jack asked me with a smile. I smiled back before sighing frustration when dad suddenly snapped out of his trance.

"Did you just call me a kangaroo!?!"

"Here we go again." I muttered under my breath before walking over to Raph and sat down next to him on the couch. "I knew it was going to stop you in your kangaroo tracks." Jack said with a proud smirk, making me chuckle and flinch at the same time. "I'm a bunny, you bloody show pony!" Dad exclaimed in anger as he marched right up to my boyfriend. "Whatever you say!" Jack said with a chuckle and a shrug, before turning to face me again.

"Now, you were saying?" Jack asked me with a kind smile. I smiled back before standing up and looked at everyone in the room. "Easter is tomorrow," I started off as I looked everyone in the eye. "And we need help."

"Yeah! Sure thing!" Mikey answered immediately, cheerfully with a big smile. But his smile soon fell into a frown. "Help with what exactly?" He asked, making everyone else look to me questionably. I sighed softly and was about to answer them, when my dad grabbed my hand and started pulling me to the exit again. "We don't need help!" He exclaimed as he marched to the exit, pulling me along with him.

"Dad!" I exclaimed in frustration and tried to pull my hand out of his grip. Just before we could reach the steps, Dad fell forward as if he tripped over something. Luckily, he released my hand before he fell. "What the heck!" Dad exclaimed as he sat up and looked to his foot, which was frozen to the ground. "Jack!" He shouted in rage and shot the Guardian of Fun a death glare.

"Hey, don't look at me!" Jack said with a chuckle as he raised his hands up in surrender, while still holding his staff in one hand. Before Dad could snap at him again, we heard a yip. We turned to the front, and at my dads feet, was a baby snow dragon, sitting there with its tail wagging happily. I giggled in amusement when I spotted Blizzard, realizing that he was the one who froze dads foot to the floor. Dad shot the baby mythical creature a glare before taking out his boomerang and started hitting the ice with it.

"I don't have time for this!" He muttered in frustration as he continued hitting the ice off his foot with his boomerang. Jack chuckled at the scene in front of us before turning to face me again. "Now, what exactly do you need help with?" He asked me with a small kind smile. I returned the smile before answering. "With everything." I answered before turning to face my brothers and Splinter.

Before anyone could comment, I spoke. "Easter needs to be perfect tomorrow. With Pitch back, and having no idea at all what hes planning, we need to be on our A-game. Pitch destroyed Easter last time, and not only did I lose a day of my mom, but I almost lost my dad. I cannot... I will not have history repeated." Everybody stared at me for a moment before Raph stepped forward and smiled.

"How can we help?"

The second my twin asked how they can help, I smiled brightly and hugged him. After I pulled out of the hug, I placed my hands on my hips and smirked. "Buckle up!" I said and tapped my foot twice. "Not again!" Raph screamed out as he and the others, Jack, Splinter and my dad included, fell into the tunnel I made under them. And of course Blaze and Blizzard. I just laughed as I heard their screaming, and laughter from Jack, before jumping into my tunnel and followed after them.

***

After a few ups and downs, a turn here and there, we finally ended up in the Warren. I landed on my feet, along with Jack. Meanwhile, the turtles, Splinter and Dad landed face first and piled up onto each other. "Buckle up..." Dad grumbled as he tried to standup, but Mikey and Donnie were on top of him. "Were sitting with an Easter crisis, and you just say, "Buckle up" and make a tunnel!" He exclaimed and pushed the two turtles off him and stood up.

I simply just smiled to him, making scoff before rolling his eyes. He was about to say something when his face expression did a double take. He turned to where we came out and stared for a moment before turning back to face me. "Since when can you make tunnels?" Dad asked me as he pointed to the tunnel where we came out of. "Since we faced Pitch." I answered honestly with a shrug before picking up Blaze as she fluttered over to me.

"Since we faced Pitch!?!" Dad exclaimed in shock as he stared at me with wide eyes. He looked over to the guys, who were still laying on top of each other in a pile, before looking back to me. "Why didn't you tell me?" "I thought you knew." I answered again in honesty, while holding Blaze close to my chest. "Well obviously I don't!" He snapped, making me sigh. "Sorry," I said with a slight shrug, looking to Jack for help, but he shrugged as well, while holding Blizzard.

Dad was just about to snap again, when Sensei came over and placed his hand on Dad's shoulder, getting his attention. "My friend, I know and understand the frustration of your child not telling you things. But now is not the time. Now, your focus needs to be on getting everything ready for Easter." Sensei said gently to him. Dad stared at him for a moment before sighing with a nod.

"You're right, you're right." Dad said before sighing again, stepping back, causing Senseis hand to fall off his shoulder. Dad took a deep breath to calm himself more before turning to the Turtle Pile. "Are you sorry shellies gonna keep laying there all day, or you gonna get of your shells and help out?" He asked my brothers as he placed his hands on his hips.

The guys just groaned while Jack and I chuckled. "Every single time!" Raph snapped while the others groaned in discomfort and pain while he tried to stand up for the pile. "What happened to the bloody warning we asked for, for next time!" Raph exclaimed as he finally stood up on his feet. The others soon joined him while they rubbed their heads. "Oops!" I said with a shrug while still holding Blaze. Raph glared at me and growled in annoyance while the others just rolled their eyes.

Dad just rolled his eyes again before nodding his head to a different tunnel. "Come on! We got a lot of work to do!" He exclaimed as he jumped down the tunnel. The guys looked to me, but I just smirked with a shrug and followed after my dad. Everybody else followed after us down the tunnel, into the flower fields where the eggs were grown. As we pasted the flowers, Sensei and the Turtles did a double take when they saw the eggs popping out of the flowers.

"How in the world is that even possible?" Donnie asked as he scratched his head in confusion. Dad and I just chuckled at them before Dad suddenly picked me up and placed me onto his back. "Hold on Easter Egg!" Dad exclaimed with a big smile before he started running down the pathway. I exclaimed out in surprise before I started laughing as I wrapped my arms around his neck, with Blaze on my shoulder. As we run down the path with the eggs walking towards the spray painting flowers, I heard Mikey in the background exclaiming in surprise. Whoa! Dudes! Thats a lot of eggs!

Jack, who was standing on top of his staff and had Blizzard on his shoulder, and the others nodded in agreement as they stared with wide eyes. "Uh, how much time do we have?" He asked before Raph added a comment as well. "Yeah, it seems like we have our work cut out for us." Dad and I just laughed and cheered in joy as we run down the spray painting flowers, laughing and squealing as we dodged the flowers from spraying paints onto us.

Once we got out of the path, the others came over to us and started helping us preparing the eyes. As we prepared the eggs, Dad started speaking, his voice full of joy, and hope. "All right, troops, it's time to push back! That means eggs everywhere! Heaps of you in every high rise, farm house, and trail'r park! In tennis shoes and cereal bowls! Oh, there'll be bathtubs filled with my beautiful googies!" I smiled brightly up to my Dad before whistling to the eggs that were already spray painted.

"Come on you beautiful googies! Time to bath in the river of paint!" I called out to the eggs and laughed out loud when they started jumping up and down in joy before following me to the river of paint. "Did she just say river of paint?" I heard Donnie ask Leo, who was also looking at me in confusion, with Blizzard on his shoulder. "Wanna see it?" I asked them with a smile.

"Yes."

I turned around and smiled at Master Splinter, who was the one that answered and was holding a basket full of spray painted eggs, also with Blaze on his shoulder. "Come along then!" I called out and went down the tunnel that went to the river of paint. Once we arrived at the river, Sensei lowered his basket and let the eggs jump out. The eggs jumped up and down in joy before running straight to the river with the other eggs and jumped in.

"Okay this is a little weird." Donnie said as he watched with wide eyes as the eggs walked out of the river, with more colorful coats on them. "No dude!" We all turned towards where we heard Mikey, and saw both him and Dad, holding and hugging painted eggs, while Blaze and Blizzard played with the eggs as well. "This is adorable!" I chuckled in amusement before jumping over the river and called out to the eggs again.

"Time for your spirals and swirls!" The eggs jumped in joy before following me to another tunnel. Dad jumped over to before, smiling down at the painted eggs walking down the tunnel before giving my shoulder a grateful squeeze. "There will be Springtime! On every continent. And I'm bringing Hope with me!" He said before pulling me to his chest and gave me a big hug, which I gladly returned.

"Hey Izzy? What are the eggs suppose to do now?" Both Dad and I pulled out of the hug when we heard my twins voice. Before either of us could answer him, the eggs started jumping down, getting caught in the plants, slowly sliding down their hoops, landing with beautiful patterned swirls and spirals. Raph looked at the now finished Easter Eggs with wide eyes before shrugging. "Nevermind."

Both Dad and I laughed before following the Easter Eggs. As we walked down the path, we saw Mikey sitting there, paintbrush in his hand and he was busy painting eggs red and orange. "Too pizza-y mate!" Dad said as we passed Mikey. "Paint em blue and green." Mikey looked up to Dad in shock before looking over to the whole stack of red and orange eggs he has painted. "Awe man!" He exclaimed, making me chuckle.

This went on for a while, until Donnie came over to us with a checklist. "Bunny! Izzy! Everything is on schedule!" Donnie exclaimed excitedly and showed us the list. Dad looked through the list before smiling brightly. "Great! Now lets send these beautiful googies up to the top!" He said with bright smile. "How are we going to do that?" Leo asked with a frown.

"Through the tunnels of coarse!" I answered with a bright smile and walked over to the tunnels. "What tunnels?" Raph asked as he and the others followed after me. But, I didn't need to answer him, because once he got to the room, he and the others "Whoa'd" when they saw the tunnels, each tunnel going to its own continent. "Those tunnels." I answered anyway with a smile before laying my head down on Jack's shoulder when he stopped next to me and wrapped his arm around my waist, while our mythical pets sat down in front of us.

We all just watched the eggs walk down the tunnels with big smiles. Jack's hand moved from my waist to my shoulder and gave it a slight squeeze. "Not bad." He said with a slight smirk before kissing the side of my forehead. I smiled as I placed my hand over his and gave it a slight squeeze. Dad looked over to me, and saw Jack's arm around me. He did a slight scoff and rolled his eyes before smiling at us.

"Not bad yourself." Dad said with a smile, which we returned. He then turned to Splinter and the others and smiled gratefully to them. "Thank you," Dad said as he offered his hand to Splinter to shake. "Thank you for all your help." He said as he and Splinter shook hands. Sensei smiled to him and placed his hand other hand over Dad's. "It was our greatest pleasure." Sensei said for all of them and gave a slight pat on Dad's hand before they let go.

I smiled at both my father and my brothers father before pulling away from my boyfriend's arm. "Come on guys! Let's make sure everything goes well up in the surface with the googies." I said as I followed after the Easter Eggs through the tunnels to the surface.

***

Everything was running smoothly. The Easter Eggs arrived safely to surface, along with the Easter Baskets. All of them got hid by themselves and by us. After they got hid, we hid ourselves and watched as the kids run around and searched for Easter Eggs. We all smiled and laughed softly when we saw their smiles and heard their squeals and laughter when they found the Easter Eggs. Everything was going so well, until I felt the feeling, the feeling I have been long the whole time.

Hope.

"Dad..." I said with softly, turning to face my dad with a bright smile. Dad looked to me with a matching smile. Before either of us could say something, Mikey voice his. "Whoa! Dudes! You guys feel that!" He said as he looked to his brothers and the rest of us with bright happy baby blue eyes. "It feels like I'm being hugged lovingly!" He exclaimed excitedly and wrapped his arms around himself, hugging himself. "Hugged by a-"

"Mother."

I gasped in surprise and turned around. Right in front of me, there she stood. Smiling brightly and lovingly at me and the others. As she smiled at us, we all stared at her in shocked before I snapped out of it. "Mom..." I muttered softly in shock, taking a slight step forward. She smiled more brightly and opened up her arms to me. "Mom!" I exclaimed and run right into her arms.

She wrapped her arms tightly around me and lovingly kissed my head as she hugged me. "Hope..." Dad muttered in shocked as he stared at us with wide eyes. Mom looked up to him with a loving smile. She lifted up one of her arms and offered to him to join our hug. "Come here you silly Kangaroo!" Dad blinked slowly at her before he smiled brightly at her and hopped right over to us.

"Hope! My Springtime!" Dad exclaimed joyfully as he wrapped his arms around his wife and his daughter. He hugged us tightly in his arms before pulling slightly away from us and stared lovingly into mom's green eyes with his bright green eyes. He lovingly cupped her cheek and smiled brightly. Mom smiled back at him before speaking. "Are you going to kiss me or what?" Dad laughed before bringing her in for a loving kiss.

I smiled up at the loving moment above me before speaking. "I'm still here in case you guys forgotten." Mom and dad pulled away and laughed before both laid a kiss on top of my head. I smiled and giggled like a silly kid as I tightened my arms around them both.

"Dudes..." Mikey said slowly as he stared at us with very wide eyes. Mom chuckled before pulling away from us and stepped closer to Mikey and the rest, who was also staring with wide eyes. "Don't you start freaking out now Mikey." Mom said with a chuckle, but Mikey and the rest just continued staring at her with wide eyes.

"What's going on?"
