Her fears and old sorrows overwhelm her-
ghosts of the past dragging her into depths-
until her feet have forgotten how to dance
and her body forgets it ever fought.
She is a ghost, nearly six feet under,
and Death stalks her, awaiting her plea.
She sees the shadows, knows Death's dark language.
It takes time, but like the phoenix, she rises.

Sunlight turns the ghost into a princess,
regal company to Earth's lonely souls.
Her eyes are a beacon, calling the lost.
Her smile is true, unbridled happiness.
Her words form all-powerful speeches. Strength,
she says, is the lone way to fight Darkness.
