Chapter Thirty
they were reflections of each other

3rd Person POV

Indianas phone rang and she picked it up to see that it was zoe calling and she smiled as she picked it up

"whats up z?" she asked and she heard zoe let out a quick sigh and take a deep breathe

"we're at the firefly hotel I think, ill send you the location but callum is here and he has the wild horses but he locked us in , we need you and everyone else here now and quickly," zoe said and Indiana nodded

"yeah just stay on the call zoe, I'll try to be there soon," she said and she ran into the tack room where everyone was and they all turned to her as she burst into the room and they all looked at her.

"zoe and gaby need our help" Indiana stated and Marcus shot up with Mia and the others.

"where are they?"mia asked and Indiana looked at her phone as zoe answered for her

"I think we're at the opening for the hotel, mia you should be heading there any time soon now" zoe said and they all turned to her

"yeah daddy wants me and firefly there soon, you guys get your horses ready to go and I'll meet you guys there. be safe" Mia said and she walked out of the room as Indiana looked at Marcus and then susie.

"well you heard the women, lets go save them" Indiana said and they all ran out of the tack room as they ran to their respective horses and tacked them up quickly. Indiana rode out on mac as Marcus was on monty and Susie was on fletcher. Indiana followed the location as they got there and they saw mia and everyone else in front of the hotel and they stopped abruptly.

"shit , what are we going to do?" Indiana asked them

"I might have an idea" susie said and then they heard the mayor speaking outside in front of the hotel. Indiana turned to Marcus and sighed

they watched susie get off of fletcher as she ran out in front of the hotel and stood next to mia. she whispered in her ear as Indiana watched and then they turned as they heard voices and they saw heather, aaron and winnie

"okay what the hell? how are you guys here and how did you know to come here?" Indiana asked and aaron smiled

"one of the tags started pinging and we rode here. wheres zoe?" he asked and Indiana shrugged

"no idea" she said and they started to call out for zoe

"AARON! INDIANA" She yelled back and all five of them ran to the door

"are you okay?" he asked

"yeah, we're fine" zoe yelled back

"don't worry cuz! we're gonna get you out of here some how" he said and they all began to pull the chain until Indiana turned and saw becky , jade and pin running towards them

"oh thank god" Indiana said and she wrapped her arms around jade and becky before she turned away and smiled at Marcus

"zoe? zoe, are you in there? are you okay?" pin asked

"Pin!pin, we're locked in. the horses are really sick" zoe said and pin nodded

"Okay everyone pull the rope" pin said and they pulled on the rope as zoe and gaby pushed it and the door opened. Indiana felt gaby wrap her arms around her and she hugged her back until they walked back into the room

"they're sick" Zoe stated

"its lead, I was poisoned by it too. its in the lake at the castle" Pin said

"we need to get them treated" jade told them

"and soon" Indiana followed up

"shes scared. she wont move, none of them will" gaby said

"shell follow raven" zoe said and she walked over to raven but he didn't budge

"he isn't going anywhere without her" zoe spoke and Indiana sighed

"could mac help? he is ravens brother" Indiana said and gaby shared a look with mia

"its worth a shot" they said in agreement and Indiana nodded as she walked out of the shed and brought mac in but even then , they didn't follow and Indiana sighed

"that's not going to work either, gaby you need to ride ariel out of here" Indiana spoke up and zoe grabbed the riding hat and handed it to gaby.

"no. i cant'" gaby said

"zoes right. ariel needs to know you're with her... every step of the way"pin said and they all watched gaby and ariel as gaby put on the hat. zoe got on raven as gaby got on ariel and they all smiled.

"you ready?" zoe asked

"yeah" gaby said and they rode out of the room together as the wild horses followed close behind and Indiana smiled at them. Indiana ran out with winnie, heather and aaron as they cornered him.

"I'm not scared of a bunch of kids" he said and aaron threw the rope over him and he fell. indiana leaned down and she punched him in his gut as he groaned and she smiled

"I always wanted to do that" she said and winnie laughed as she did too and Marcus did with them.

"look, I was gonna release the wild herd, I swear but then you two showed up and I just" he said and mia interrupted him

"zoe , you're my girlfriend what on earth do you think you're doing? you ruined daddys opening" mia asked and indiana sighed as she leaned her head on Marcuss shoulder.

"who are you working for?" zoe asked callum

"its geoff isn't it? becky said he used to own this hotel" Gaby asked and indiana grabbed his phone from his pocket

"zoe" she said and she handed it to her

"we heard you calling your boss earlier. whoever you were on the phone with is behind all of this" zoe said and she pressed the number as elliots phone rang

"that's daddy ringtone" mia said and they watched him run but indiana followed after him as she ran as fast as she could. Marcus followed close behind her as they got on their horses and they rode them as fast as they could after him. they were led to the beach and indiana got off of mac as zoe got off of raven, mia got off of firefly and marcus got off of Monty.

"its empty" marcus exclaimed as he looked in the car

"well then where the hell could he be?" indiana questioned out loud as she looked at her boyfriend and mia looked at her girlfriend

"I know exactly where" mia said and she ran as they followed her. they ran down to the beach and they hid as they saw elliot getting on a boat

"do you want us to come with you?" zoe asked her girlfriend and mia shook her head

"no no I have to do this" mia said and she stood up as she walked over to her dad and they watched them talking

"there's nothing for you here" they heard him say and zoe went to stand up in defense for her girlfriend

"that's not true" she said and indiana grabbed her arm and stopped her

"wait z wait" she said and they continued to listen into the conversation that was happening in front of their very eyes. Mia hugged her dad and then she pulled the tag out of her jacket and indiana smiled as zoe stood up

"that tag is being tracked by jade and the police. they'll be here any minute" she stated and indiana looked at him and mia with a sad smile. once it was over, they all went back to the stables and indiana put mac in her stall but raven neighed and she smiled

"he'll be right here boy" she said and she smiled at raven and then at mac before marcus wrapped his arms around her waist and he spun her around. they kissed each other softly as they smiled.

they were okay

-A FEW MONTHS LATER-

Indiana sat there as she watched the video with zoe, mia and gaby.

"untamed open shorelines, a world-class hotel, a castle full of ancient secrets" the video began

"All my wildest horse dreams are coming true. " heather said

"Start your island adventure today" the video ended and Indiana smiled with mia, gaby, and zoe.

"she finally gets what makes us and this island so special"Indiana spoke and all three of them laughed and smiled together.

"well, nothing fake about that. I still cant believe that Callum hid those horses just for a space on the under-18s team" Gaby said

"some people are crazy like that" mia stated

"but now you have his place," Indiana said to gaby

"crazy times. you know, I'm going to start breaking ariel in next week" Gaby said and all three of them smiled together again.

"the best girl won. I mean it. ready?" zoe asked and they all smiled and modded as they left the house they went to the castle and walked in and saw how decorated it was.

"oh wow, this is beautiful," Indiana said and she walked in as pin made eye contact with zoe and Marcus made eye contact with Indiana

"ladies and gentlemen, pray silence for... our duke" the butler said and indiana smiled and laughed as she cheered for pin

"well, now everyone's here, we can begin. rebecca sidebottom" He said and becky stepped forward

"pin" she said

"you forgot lavinia" alex said and indiana chuckled

"of course. rebecca lavinia sidebottom... thanks to your training, breakfast club were able to save the wild herd and therefore I am naming you protector of the wild ponies" he said and indiana cheered for her

"the kingdom is safe in my hands , your honor" she said and indiana laughed

"don't call me your honor. may the wild herd roam this island, freely, forever. one more thing. jade gill was awarded top marks for her science project on the wild horses and she has now received a letter of commendation from sir david attenborough himself" Pin said and jade stepped forward

"you are kidding me! he's kidding me right?"jade asked

"I wrote to him , told him what you've done. to the wild horses and my even wilder friends" he said and indiana walked over to marcus as he hugged her and she hugged him back. they kissed each other softly and smiled into it. Indiana held his face as he held her waist and they held each other close. she kissed him and he kissed her. they stood there in the room, the ceiling reflecting them and their lights.

indiana felt calm in that moment, happy and in the end, there was Indiana and there was Marcus and that was all that mattered. he had known her and she knew him. they were the sun and the moon, they were the stars and the night sky.they were the golden boy and the broken girl. they were REFLECTIONS of each other and they always would be.

their story lives on and so do they. REFLECTIONS never fade, they stay and make more stories and like theirs. it would stay and live.

Marcus and Indiana were forever and their REFLECTIONS made it clear.

-ABBYS NOTES-
when writing this book, i didn't think that writing it would make me feel so happy and glad but making indiana made me happy. she is an oc who has gone through so much and she makes me feel so happy and calm. she was an oc that was hard to write and feel for. she gets hurt a lot and her emotions will always be validated in my mind. if you are going through what indiana did or still does, i am here to listen and talk, please never feel the need to not speak up. you have every right to the truth and living your life. also I felt the need to add in the word reflections three times at the end as it was never said in the 29 other chapters of this book. thank you for reading. i love you so much and i'll see you soon
