Why Should We Believe Anything You Say?

3rd person POV

when indiana woke up , got dressed and went to the stables. marcus grabbed her arm and he led her ariel's stall without saying a single word

"okay wow what is going on?" indiana asked as he led her in and they saw gaby with ariel

"hey. i still can't get hold of pin. i think we need to call the vet" marcus said and indiana finally caught on. ariel was in labor and they didn't have anyone to help her

"and have her risk telling the mayor that we're hiding a wanted horse? no way" Gaby said and Indiana nodded in agreement

"i think i might know what to do" Indiana spoke up and they both turned to her

"how?" marcus asked and indiana looked down

"before mac , there was a different horse. she had a foal and we had to give the foal up with her mom but i was taught how to help horses give birth and i remember how to. I Can do it" she said and they nodded

"are you sure?" gaby asked and indiana walked over as she grabbed gabys hands

"gabby of course i'm sure we can do this, we might need to call pin instead though" indiana said and gabby nodded as she went to call pin

"no answer. we're delivering this foal on our own" gaby said and marcus looked at indiana and nodded

"yeah i can do this" she said and they all nodded as indiana walked to ariel and she pet her. she laid her hand on her stomach as she took a deep breathe and she felt ariel let out a huff of air

"i know mama, you just gotta work through it. me and gaby are right here" she told her and ariel sighed a breathe again with indiana. gaby watched before indiana sighed

"gaby come over here and talk to her" indiana said and gaby walked over as she pet ariel's nose

"you know, when i said i wanted to find my horse, i didn't exactly mean a fugitive , pregnant, unrideable wild one but i reckon you'll do" Gaby said and Ariel moved swiftly

"wow okay" Indiana said to herself

"raven is just outside , and i'm not going anywhere" gaby said and ariel laid down as indiana looked up at gaby and then back down at ariel

"take a deep breathe gaby , she needs you" she told her and gaby nodded as they both kneeled down next to her and nodded. marcus left to get the blanket for her and when he came back, there they sat. he stared at his girlfriend for a second as he watched her calm down ariel and gaby. marcus wouldn't tell them about the talk between him and mia , he didn't have the time and he didn't know how to tell her.

what would he say to zoe, that her girlfriend was selling her horse and there was nothing that would change her mind.

"marcus help" gaby said and he nodded as he walked in and gave the blanket to gaby. they unraveled it as they let ariel do what she needed to. gaby pet ariel

"she shouldn't be lying down" marcus said and indiana nodded

"i can't get her back up" indiana told him

"i'm scared. yeah, there might be a complication. we can't do this on our own, we need pin but he's" gaby said and mia interrupted

"he's at the castle" she said

"pins at the castle. i saw ted heading over there this morning" mia said and gaby got up as she left them and indiana smiled at mia

"what can i do?" she asked them

"stay here with us mia. that's all we need right now" indiana said and mia smiled as she nodded as they sat there and waited. jade and becky waited outside with the others

"pins here; he knows what to do but indi you're going to have to help him" zoe said and indiana nodded

"come in pin" she said and she opened the door as pin walked in and gaby walked in after.

"what's the problem?" gaby asked

"she's fine" pin stated

"then why she is laying down?" gaby questioned

"it happens sometimes when they haven't foaled before. she's just tired, and she doesn't know what's going on. she's just resting before the big push" pin said and ariel grunted

"which is coming. we don't have to do a thing" pin said and they all stood up

"are you sure? are you totally sure? because i couldn't bear it if i lost her" gaby said

"we're sure. just be there for her" pin said and they watched as she gave birth and gaby walked to the door

"guys there's someone i think you should meet" gaby said and they all walked over as they looked at ariel and the newborn

"is it a he or she?" aaron asked

"a he" pin and indiana announced together

"he's perfect" susie said and they all nodded

"his coat, it's almost black" marcus pointed out

"yeah, just like" mia said and zoe cut her off

"raven! he looks just like raven when he was a foal. ravens the father" zoe said and they brought raven in as he walked over to them

"that's why ariel came back to bright fields, she was... she was looking for raven" gaby stated

"she knew he would there when times got tough" Zoe said

"the perfect family" gaby said

"guys. emergency. the mayor is here" jade said and indiana snapped her head towards her

"what?" indiana and zoe said together and they walked out of the stall as they saw her walking in

"the mayor looks so mad" susie said

"so does my dad" mia spoke

"you told her then?" becky asked heather

"it wasn't me , i swear" heather tried

"why should we believe anything you say? you lied about her coming at you first anyway" indiana said and heather looked at her shoes

"darling, the funniest thing... claire seems to think you're hiding a wild horse at the yard. you're not, are you?" elliot asked

"i'm sorry, but it's true" mia said

"that horse is dangerous, and i want it off my island. look, it really is very simple. now, where is it?" The mayor asked

"she. is this way" zoe said

"thank you" the mayor asked

"zoe, what are you doing?" gaby asked in confusion and fear which led indiana to grab her hand as mia stared at her girlfriend in confusion

"please tell me this is an elaborate plan involving a secret passage and a time machine" becky said

"look, you guys, the mayor is the mayor, but she's also a mom. just. just trust me" zoe said and she led the mayor into the stall as there stood ariel, and raven . she stated

"this is the wild horse that attacked your daughter. she was pregnant and scared. she came to us because she knew that we would protect her. and her goal. ravens foal" Zoe said

"well thank you for making my job easier" the mayor said and she walked out

"claire i'm sure the kids thought that they were doing the right thing" elliot tried and that's when heather began to record

"exciting times at bright fields! a wild foal has been born here at the stables, and of course the mayor is here to welcome it" heather said and indiana smiled

"darling , what are you doing?" the mayor questioned

"we're going live on becky's blog. how many subscribers have you got, becky?" she asked

"three" becky said excitedly

"million!" jade saved

"tell me again what you were saying about ariel and her tiny, helpless foal?" zoe smirked

"oh yes please do tell us" indiana said as she leaned into marcus

"this birth is great news to the island. as you know, i've been interested in the wild horses for quite some time now, and i am committed to protecting this new addition" the mayor said and they all smiled as she walked away

"oh and what about ariel and her wild herd?" zoe asked

"well, i'll make sure they're all protected too. if my daughter can forgive them, so can i. thank you , your services will no longer be required" the security walked away

"wait what about jades pony project?" indiana called out

"had my full support" she said

"we want to register the herd, check them for diseases, we need to track them, run blood tests, and work out why they've been behaving so strangely" jade ranger

"i'll fund it all. whatever you need. this little foal is a new beginning for all of us." the mayor said and heather turned off the phone

"are you coming?" the mayor asked her

"you told me a summer at the stables would be good for me. maybe you were right" she said and the mayor left as she walked away and they all smiled

"YES" indiana said and she hugged marcus as mia hugged zoe and they all smiled. indiana walked away with marcus after she took one more look at ariel , raven and the foal. she walked to macs stall and leaned against the wall

"i'm just glad that you're okay, we'll be alright boy" she said and she kissed his nose before she walked away and closed his stall door.

but what indiana wasn't prepared for was the fact that maybe other horses wouldn't be protected and she would have to do something about it.

indianas fears would come back , she just didn't know when.
