I Know That Version Of You

3rd person pov

they had trouble, heather had found out about ariel and from there, it was all down hill. indiana was scared for the stables but she was more scared for gaby and ariel. heather was blackmailing them and oh how indiana hated the girl but she knew when someone was a blackmailer and she knew when someone was a bad blackmailer.

indiana her whole life had been a blackmailer and she could play someone's game better then they ever could. she knew that the girl was trouble but she wasn't an indiana type of trouble. she was a little girl who needed mommy's attention trouble

"god little kids make me want to throw my head into a wall" indiana said to mac and she heard him hurt and she laughed as she pet him. she heard someone knock on the door and she looked up to see gaby

"hey g , what's up?" she asked and gaby smiled at her and mac

"i was thinking , why didn't ariel come to mac and not raven? it's just confusing because max and raven are from the same herd so why wouldn't she come to him?" gaby said and indiana shrugged cluelessly

"it's a good question, her and raven probably have a different connection" she told her and gaby nodded as she smiled and left macs stall. indiana turned as she heard books hitting the ground and she turned to see marcus

"don't need these anymore" he told her and she sighed as she shook her head and walked towards him

"stop beating yourself up marcus. you did amazing" she told him and he shook his head as he scoffed and sighed.

"not good enough" he retorted and he dropped the last of the book on the ground.

"marcus giving up on your entire training career is pretty spontaneous and you . you're spontaneous but that girl, she doesn't know that. she doesn't know that version of you and maybe she never will but i do. i know that version of you and i like that version. that version is the one i fell for" she stated and he sighed and nodded

"why didn't she see that?" he asked and she shrugged and sighed

"she's blind, now my lovely boyfriend want to help me train for the under 18s . i am just on the edge and i knew to train" she asked and he nodded as he looked at mac and then her

"let's go train on" he said and she led mac out of his stall as she tacked him up and then led him to the arena. she turned to marcus as she watched him set up the course and smiled. she got on mac as he looked at her and she looked at him

"well training is the easiest thing for you to do now. you and mac know each other and you're comfortable but you don't know the course and that's what we are doing today. you let mac do what he needs to and you do what you need to. he trusts you and you trust him" he said and she nodded as she ran her hand over macs mane and sighed. she let herself take a deep breathe and then she clicked her tongue. she began to go around the course as she let mac lead. she held a tight grip on his reins but kept it short enough for him to pull and stop if he needed to

"lovely , dia" he said as she did one of the jumps and she finished the course

"i knew you and mac could do it and now , for this" he said and he pointed to it

"and what is that?" she asked

"that is a pussiance wall. it's a wall jump that goes higher and higher which you're ready for it but maybe today isn't the day for it?" he said and she nodded

"not today, we have the tea party at the castle later and we have to get ready for that" she said and she got off of mac as she led him to his stall and she untacked him in there

"i'll see you later mac" she spoke and she pet him one last time before she walked to her house and changed into a dress. she ran her hands down in as she smiled at the necklace her mom gave her and she knew that she was happy and comfortable in that moment. indiana nodded

"it's just a party" she said to herself and she left the house as she got into the car and drove over to the castle. she saw everything set up and she walked into the kitchen to see aaron becky and winnie together

"wow this doesn't look like a complete mess, that was said with love" indiana said and they all smiled at her as becky sighed until alex walked in

"heather is supposed to be here with her with mother soon are you guys ready?" he asked and they all looked at indiana

"look i can handle this, my mom taught me how to cook" she said and she read through the menu as she started to instruct them to hand her things and she made them. she made at least 5-7 pastries and others.

"go tell them tea is served" indiana said and she watched a butler come out of nowhere and tell everyone

"okay you guys see him too right?" indiana asked and they all nodded before they were led outside to the patio where the mayor looked at her

"i heard that i'm getting an apology from you as well" the mayor said and indianas eyebrows shot up as she scoffed

"let's just let jade do her presentation" indiana said and she turned to jade who began her presentation as they all listened to her. jade stared at the notes and indiana shook her head as she stood up and grabbed the notes

"breathe jade. read the room, say what you want, not what you wrote. i'm right here" she told her and jade smiled as she nodded

"we get... caught up in it all, don't we? on our friend dramas, work pressure, our family worries. all the things that we desperately want, our hopes and fears, behind it all, the horses are there. they've seen kingdoms rise and fall, our human worries, they pass so quickly. but the horses are always there. and they always will be. their hooves are the heartbeat of our island, and we have to protect them" jade said and indiana smiled at the girl

"what do you think?" pin asked

"interesting. i'd no idea the horses had such a fascinating history" she said and they all smiled

"it's okay you guys i'm here it's okay" zoe said and she ran into aaron who slipped and the jello flew onto the mayor.

"oh shit" indiana said and she laughed slightly before jade kicked her leg and she stopped

"and that's how we serve afternoon tea around here. yeah, it's ancient castle tradition. look. see?" becky said and they all started to throw food before the mayor got up and saw a paper

"bam. whose idea was this?" she asked

"mine. it was mine" aaron said

"well, it all went according to plan, didn't it? you tricked me into coming here, and all the while you were planning to humiliate me" she said

"no way" aaron tried

"he was just trying to help ariel" heather said and indiana smacked her forehead as she stood up and walked over to him. she laid her hands on his shoulder as she waited for the mayor to say something

"you know, i almost fell for it. all that nonsense about the wild horses, but thanks to this punk and his hilarious prank, i will not be supporting your horse project , or any future bright field endeavors. and i'll show you who has the real power on this island. now i'm waiting for that apology" she said to indiana who scoffed in her face

"take the apology and shove it up your ass" indiana said and the mayor scoffed as she left. they cleaned up everything and went to throw it away until they heard zoe and pin

"we should leave" indiana said and she left the castle with the others. she went back home and changed back into her clothes as she now got to lay in her bed and stay there for the rest of the day. she didn't feel the need to go back to stables and she didn't feel the need to lie and pretend. she just wanted to lay in her bed for one day and be happy with that which she was.

indiana was comfortable at the moment but she didn't know if it meant she was happy. she wasn't prepared for what was going to happen at the stables
