Paige walked to the living room with two drinks on her hands as Jeremy waited for her seated on her couch.He looked devastated and called her telling her he needed someone to talk to.She was shocked to see him this way, specially since she knew he would visit Dana and expected them to be reconciled.Paige knew that the reconciliation didn't happen by looking at him. She gave him an orange soda which he opened and drank slowly.

"Thanks. " he said placing it down on the table.

"Can I get you something else?" she said drinking her own beverage.

"Yeah,take this." He said pulling out a small wrapped box from his jacket and giving it to her.

"What is it?" She asked opened it and before he could answer she saw the same butterfly ring she saw on a picture he showed her. "Are you sure about this?"

"Yeah, it was for Dana. But since I can't give it to her you can keep it. Unless you don't want it."

"No, it's alright.Thanks.bI was planning on having a small reunion with Dana and Amy tomorrow, before you and I leave. Can you come too?"

"Thanks, but i would rather not. It could be uncomfortable, and i don't want to make you have a bad moment with them. Besides, I have shared a good time with you, and you girls can chat better between yourselves. I'll be talking to Amy later before I leave. "

"Ok. I'm here for anything you need." she answered giving him a hug.

He said goodbye to her and drove home feeling heartbroken. His night didn't go as he planned, and he couldn't help shed some tears as he was getting closer to a stop sign. When he arrived he stayed some minutes inside the car trying to get calm before he entered the house. There was a chance his mother could be awake and didn't want to worry her.

Amy couldn't help notice how her cousin Peter ate his fifth pizza slice, it seemed he hadn't eat in several days, and he had long hair, as if he had been away for a long time and just came back.

Aunt Beth just couldn't stop looking at him, waiting for an answer from her son but he wouldn't stop eating.

"Ok , Peter. I want to know why you came back. " she said putting her hands together.

"Mother, can I att least finish eating?"he asked with a bite on his mouth.

"No. Swallow that and start talking. " she answered firmly.

"Fine. Do you remember telling you how I wanted to travel with my friends after I graduated high school?"

"How could I? It devastated to see how you spent the money I earned so you could have an education on only God knows what. What happened with your so called sabbatical year as you called it?" she asked making air quotes with her hands.

"My friends and I part aways after our stop in Chicago. And we decided to come back home. "

"That's it? You basically have no more money and you decided to come back home?"

"Why can't you be happy I'm back? You have no problem having your niece here but not your son?" he asked pointing at Amy.

"Don't drag her into this, this is between you and me only. You better know that you have to find a job as soon as possible, you are not living here for free. " she said standing up and taking her plate to the sink.

"Do you charge her too?" he asked standing up.

"Actually she pays a rent, and so will you.Unless you want to go to a hotel or look for an apartment feel free to do it. "

"You can't be serious!" He exclaimed standing up.

" I am, and you can help with the dishes."

" I have no problem doing it..." Amy said wanting to help but was interrupted by her aunt.

"No Amy,Peter will do it."

Next day Amy was at Paige's home, Dana arrived first and was preparing popcorn in the microwave while she shared with them about Peter's arrival at her aunt's home.

" Which was one Peter? I barely remember your cousins." Dana said while popping her bubblegum.

"The one who you heard talking about wanting to be a famous singer someday. "

"Oh, him. I always felt a loser vibe with him."

" My aunt was so upset with him when she saw him.You should have seen her."

"I hope he does finds a job,or something to do with his life. How is Connor?" Paige said as she placed the popcorn in a bowl.

"I haven't spoken with him since I arrived. We had a fight." Amy answered looking at the floor.

"Oh Am, what happened?" Dana asked while giving her a hug.

" He was going to take me to the airport, but I took an Uber to the airport. He got a call from a friend and went to look for her at the hospital. Her father had a stroke. Am I wrong for being mad at him?"

"Not at all, it was your last day there. He could have gone to the hospital later." Dana answered quickly.

" Is she just a friend, or do you think there was something else?" Paige asked leaning closer.

" I felt she has a crush him." Amy whispered. " He has been calling and texting, but i don't know what to say to him. "

" I'm so sorry Amy, long distance relationships are hard. I never expected for Jeremy and I to break up. Not implying that the same will happen to you and Connor."

"I understand what you say, distance affects. No matter how you try,it always does."

" Yeah, Jeremy meet someone else, and so did I. But if you honestly feel inside you that you and Connor still have a chance, fight for it.Don't give up." Dana said to reassure her.

"And no matter what, we are here for you." Paige said grabbing her hand.

The rest of the afternoon the girls watched movies together and enjoyed themselves. Amy felt that it was something refreshing to share with her friends. And as she watched the movies, she was thinking in what Dana said, if she felt she still had a chance with Connor she should fight for it. She felt those words gave her the courage to talk to Connor, and she knew what to say to him next time they speak.
