Amy woke up the next morning looking through her suitcase what she could wear for the day. Connor would pick her up in an hour and she wanted to look nice. She picked a white dress with red flowers on it, and white flats. She combed her hair and placed a hair band on her hair and when she was done, she put on some make up, not too much as she wanted a natural look. Connor texted her he was on the lobby, and she grabbed her purse and walked outside her room and took the elevator. Her boyfriend was seated but stood up and gave her a huge hug when he saw her.

"You look stunning. " He said as he grabbed her hand and walked her to the same car he had used the previous night. A guy with black hair and wearing sunglasses was on the driver's side, Connor must have borrowed the car from him to pick her up.

"Hello. " Amy said politely as she opened the door and sitting next to Connor.

"Amy, this is Frankie. Frankie, she's Amy, my lovely girlfriend. "

"Nice to meet you." Amy said extending her hand towards Frankie.

"Nice to finally meet you,Connor has been talking about you a lot and was eager for you to arrive. I hope you enjoy your visit. " he said politely and then directed to Connor. "Did Marco tell you if he needed a ride?"

"I asked him and he said no. He'll catch us at the restaurant."

"Ok, then. Let's go grab something to eat, we have many places to visit."

Frankie arrived to a pizzeria where other people were waiting chatting and sipping their drinks, three guys and the famous Gaby. Connor introduced Amy to all of them, Gaby was the last one and she wrapped her in a hug.

"Good to finally meet you Amy, Connor has talked so much about you."

"Nice meeting you guys too." Amy said sitting next to Connor, at the other side of the table. The guys were nice, they would talk about their studies, their interests, hobbies etc, Gaby was not talking that much, and Amy noticed she was looking at her constantly, in a subtle way, as if she was studying her. Amy tried not pay attention to that, as she just met this girl, and didn't want to rush judging her in a wrong way.When everyone finished lunch they all walked outside to their cars, as they were wanting to take Amy to an art museum, which Amy enjoyed watching the different artworks. The guys posed with the statues and the paintings, Amy was having a great time. Afterwards they took her to a place called Lighthouse Point Park. It was a beach as the name said with a 1840 lighthouse that was no longer functioning, neither was open to the public, but there was a picnic area and a playground for the children. The boys went barefoot and rolled their jeans up to stand up on the rocks near the beach. Amy followed them and stood up on a rock next to Connor, Gaby decided to stay on the beach and watch them only. They were all taking pictures and playing on the water, until the sun was started to go down and it was getting late. Frankie tossed his car keys to Connor.

"Thanks bro, I'll give it back with the tank full." Connor said giving him a fist bump.

"You're welcome, have fun with your lady."

"Are you ready to continue hanging out with me?" Connor whispered on Amy's ear as he kissed her on the cheek.

"Always. I have enjoyed meeting your friends, but I would love some alone time with you.Frankie is being nice lending you his car." she said buckling her seat belt.

"He's great. I hope you are not feeling tired, there is a place I would like to take you."

"Sure. "

Connor drove to a place called The Green, it was a park with three historic churches close to it. Connor would share with enthusiasm the history of that place, and Amy payed all her attention to what he was sharing with her, she could notice he had been adjusting very well.

"I can see you enjoy being here, was it hard at first?" she asked twining her arm with his.

"It was, but getting to know my friends in the fraternity helped me a lot.And sometimes I do miss home, being away from you has been a challenge. I was counting the days on the calendar to see you."

"I know, but the good thing is that we are together here. Are you coming home for Christmas? It would be great for you to come. "

Connor sighed, and it was a sigh that indicated he wasn't sure. Something was wrong, and Amy wanted to know what was it, but without being too nosy.

"Is everything okay?" she asked in a soft voice and looking at him.

"No. I haven't told you, but there is a chance my parents get divorced. They have been fighting constantly, and the last time I spoke with my dad he told me they have considered it. "

Amy understood in that moment why Connor didn't want to go to Florida for Thanksgiving, he didn't want to see his parents fight. It surprised her to know that James and Clarice were thinking on getting a divorce, when she first met them they seemed a stable couple. All she could think of at the moment was to hug Connor, who wrapped her in his arms.

"Don't lose hope, there is a chance they can reconcile."

"I hope so, I don't want them to get divorced." he said kissing her on the forehead.

"Do you know a place where we can get ice cream? I know it helps you feel better, and it's my treat."

"Thanks Sugarpie, you are the best." he said giving her a soft kiss on the lips.

As soon as Paige saw her father at the airport she felt thrilled and ran towards him embracing him. She felt it was forever since she last saw him, and she was glad she was back and see him.

"Are you hungry? We can go eat somewhere." Michael said grabbing his daughter's luggage.

"Sure, can we go for a sandwich?I have a craving for Lumiere's food. "

They were eating together at the restaurant, when Michael went to the bathroom and she took her phone to text her Dana and Jeremy telling them she arrived. Jeremy was the one who replied back.

J: How was your flight? I arrived today too. I feel exhausted.

P:Sorry about that, I feel akward too. But we'll get used to.What are your plans for tomorrow?

J: Dinner at Jason's, both my mom and I are going.She told me to she wants to introduce me to her new beau, the same guy I told you about before.

P: Seems they are getting serious. I hope he is a nice guy.

J: Same, I haven't spoken with Dana. Wish me luck.

P: Crossing fingers.I hope everything turns out well.

Michael sat at the table and saw Paige focused on the phone.

"Are you texting a potential boyfriend?" he asked with a grin.

"Not at all Dad, it's a friend only. I have no romantic life." she answered shaking her head.

"Are you seriously telling there is no guy who has asked you out? Or at least showed interest in you?Those guys should have their sight checked."

"Well, there is a guy who has been really nice to me, but for now I just see him as a friend.What about you?How has it been for you with the woman you mentioned?

"She told me she has a son your age, and you both graduated from the same high school.Can you believe it? "

"Did she tell you his name?"

"No, she was about but we got interrupted by a waiter who spilled a drink on her lap.I hope you like her and get along with her.Vicky is amazing."

" I trust your judgement on women.I can't wait to meet her. "

"Thanks love, it means a lot to me that you say that." Michael said grabbing Paige's hand and smiling.

After they finished eating they drove back home , Michael went to bed inmediately, and Paige got ready to go to bed too, placing her pjs and washing her teeth. When she returned to her bedroom she noticed she had a notification on her phone, it was message from Dana.

D: Hey P, sorry that I took so long answering back.I went out with a friend and I didn't read your message until a while ago. I'm glad you are here, we need to catch up.

P: No worries, I'm glad you are okay.I'll call you soon so we go out.

D:Thanks, I love you girl.Sweet dreams.😚

Paige was glad she had the chance to speak with her two friends, and she was hoping both Jeremy and Dana could get together again.They seemed to be in love, and now that Jeremy was back they would have a chance to talk and fix amends. Paige close her eyes and slept quickly hoping her holiday with her father would be great.
