Sarah's pov

Hey Erica." I yell down the stairs. "Yeah Sarah what's up" she says walking up the stairs. "I need your help. So I've got my outfit picked out for the date but I need help with hair and makeup." I say "it's just fishing and dinner you know that right." She says. "yes I know that. But it's connor Rhodes and we work together o wanna look great better than what he sees at work. Please help me. Pretty please." I ask. "Alright come on let's go back to your room. I was thinking a simple natural makeup look. And as for the hair I was thinking..." I start to say but get cut off "no buns please it's all I wear at work." I say "I was going to say as for your hair we should do a half up half down style." She says. "love it let's get started I don't have much time before he gets here. Everything need to be perfect." I say. "Calm down it will be all right. I promise." She says to me as she starts. I'm almost finished when the door bell rings. "Hey man come on in." I hear Keith say " "thanks man" I hear connor say. "Connor here's babe" I hear Keith say to Erica. "will be right down" Erica and I say simultaneous.

Connors pov
I'm waiting downstairs for sarah talking with Keith. I'm mid sentence when I stop abruptly. I see Sarah walking down the stairs. She looks gorgeous. "wow you look amazing." I say to her. "Thanks but it's just jeans and a cute shirt." She say "you'd look beautiful in anything. You ready. " I say "yeah let's go" she says. "So I've got the boat for as long as we want. And the weather looks like it should be nice and clear. Then dinner afterwards." I say as we head out. "sounds good but you sure about the weather. I heard it was supposed to poor rain later." She says. "well according to the TV it's clear."I say. "Well if you say so." She says with a smile. "so do I need to help you in the boat. We don't want you falling in." I laugh. "Very funny I'll be fine. Plus if I fall in I'm taking you with me." She says with a smile. "Oh is that a fact." I laugh "yes, yes it is" she laughs. "I rented you a fishing poll you can use any of my lures I have" I say as I park the car. We get out and head to the boat. I get in the boat first. As Sarah is getting in she wables a bit. "careful there no falling in." I say with a smile. " "Oh I'm careful." She says all flirty.
Sarah's pov
"Hah caught another one. That makes the count 6-4. Looks who's winning. "We never said it was a competition." He says with a flirty voice. "Well you know how competitive I can get." I say "oh I've heard some stories" he laughs. "oh really what stories ate Maggie telling" I say "you'll find out later." He says with that smile that makes me go weak at the knees. We are about an hour and forty-five minutes into fishing when I feel something wet on my face. " Hey I think it's gonna start raining soon. I just felt a few rain drops on my face." I say "the sky's not even that dark. Plus remember I said its not gonna rain" he says "yeah tell that to the rain cloud above us." I laugh. "Oh caught another I'm catching up to you. What is it now 7-8." He flirts. "hey I'm still winning." I say "well not for long." He says. He's starting to take the fish off the hook when the sky opens up and the rain just pours buckets. "Well we should get in" I say "where's your sense of adventure it's just rain." He says "Then what's that loud sound" I say "yeah we should head in" he say. We head in and run to the car with our stuff. "sorry you got wet." He says "well I guess me and fishing I'm bound to get wet somehow." I laugh " well at least you didn't fall in." He laughs "that is true it's a start." I say with a smile. "do you wanna go home and change I won't mind?" He asks "where's the adventure in that we'll eventaly dry off. I say. "that's the spirit. So dinner there's this amazing burger joint. Kinda a hole In the wall place." he says. "Sounds great to me" I say we pull up to this place and he was right it was a hole in the place. It was a tinny place set back of the beaten path. "here let me get that for you" he says as he opens the door to the restaurant. "Thanks" I say "take a seat anywhere" a worker says we take a seat by the window at a booth. I was starting to shiver from being so wet. "You cold I can go get a sweatshirt from my car for you" he asks "yes ppp.. please" I say "be right back" he says. I look over the menu while he's gone. I see an amazing bacon burger that looks so good. "Here you go" he says handing me his sweatshirt. I put it on and I'm swimming in it. I also love the smell of it. "Much better thank you." I say "so what looks good to you." He asks. "umm bacon burger." I say "sounds good" he says "what will we have? The waiters asks us. "two bacon burgers with fries and two Cokes please" he says "that will be right out" she says as she heads off. Moments later she's back with the Cokes.
Connors pov
"so you told me yesterday that Erica and you grew up together. Where was that?" I ask "Just outside the city in Arlington Heights" she says "cool" I say "yeah what about you how did you meet Keith again?" She ask. "Keith and I went to college together. We were roommates for 3 years. We had class together freshman year and got along great. So we decided to room together the next year." I say "that's cool Small world we ran into each other at their party." She says. "yeah but I'm so glad we did." I say flirty like. "yeah me to" she say with a smile. The food doesn't take long to get here. "So how's the burger?" I ask. "it's amazing how did you find this place." She ask. "well you see I'm very good and finding hole in the wall place to eat at. I kinda have a Knack for it. There's this great sandwich shop in downtown Chicago I'll have to take you to when you get home." I say "yeah that a promise." She says with a flirty voice. "Definitely. You warming up." I say smiling at her. "Yeah. I am thanks." She says. While we finish our meal we continue chatting. We chat just about anything. We even exchange numbers so we can text each other whenever we want. "Here's your check. Hope you enjoy your meal?" The waitress says to us. "it was amazing" I say once we pay I take Sarah home. "thanks for a great day. It was amazing even if I did manage to get wet." She laughs as we reach her door. "you're welcome I hope we can do this again in Chicago." I ask. "are you asking me out on a second date." She says flirty like. "Yes I am I really think we fit together." I say with a smile. "I think so too so yes I'll take that second date. And hopefully many more." She says with a smile. "great can't wait. I'll see you when you get back" I say as I lean in and kiss her. " Can't wait" she says all excited. I'm about to leave when she stops me. "Hey your sweatshirt." She says as she starts to pull it off. "Nah Keep it. It looks good on you." I say "thanks night" she says "night" I say. As I'm leaving I catch her taking a sniff of my sweatshirt. I can't help but smile at how perfect we both are.
