Akiko, nowadays, is a relative of our favorite Kiyama bros. Sister? No. First cousin twice removed? Yes. She used to be shipped with Rantaro but then I decided ew no and made her a relative instead. (The Kutana family growsssssss)

Beforehand, her name was Koshi.

But now I realize her name sounded way too much like kosher, and I don't think humans are included in that process because cannibalism is not kosher. I still can't exactly remember how I got the name—oh wait. It was a spin-off of the Octonauts character Dashi.
Love Dashi and the Octonauts, but no to the name. 

Ok what was up with those knives—
I mean her Bey (well, pretty every single Kiyama Bey tbh) might have a destruction fire theme but liek, what even was the point of the knives? I have no idea.

The calico cat patterned hair, swirly shoes, and belt part got changed up. I added green into her hair, but looking back, it looks a bit hideous with the red of the ensemble.

She's pretty sassy, likes kicking people, and is really good at throwing stuff. So she has extremely good aim and I've (literally just) decided that she shall be an archer so she can be buddies with Hae-Jin. To continue the destructive fire theme, she's gonna practice shooting flaming arrows. Heck yeah. Maybe add some Hawkeye aesthetic to the arrows.

Actually, reading back and republishing this, I forgot that I made her an archer. I think I'll just remove that and make her your typical hyperactive Kiyama, as chaotic as her relatives—just as it is shown in this new redraw, which looks quite standardly similar to the previous ones:
