"EXCUSE ME?!" Aria yelled once again glaring at her husband.

"All I'm saying is that this case is important if I get this then the joker,Harley, and penguin all go to Arkham" Damian tried to reason.

"And all I'm saying is that you're neglecting your job in your civilian life as not only a businessman and socialite but a father and a husband, you haven't spent time with me or the kids in weeks, I've had to do all your work meetings because you've been so hung up on this case, you need a break" Aria pleaded she hated the state he was in, he hadn't bathed in days his hair a mess and his eyes had deep purple eye bags practically hanging off of them.

"Just leave me alone for a couple more hours and I'll come up I promise" he waved her off.

"You've been saying that for the last 5 days! No ones seen you in weeks! You're getting too invested in this just ask for help!" She pulled his chair around making him face her.

"I don't need help I'm fine figuring this out on my own I'm Batman" he grunted out voice firm and stare steady.

"There's nothing to figure out you put them in Arkham, they break out it's gonna be an endless cycle until we die or they die whoever's first!" She explained the obvious truth Damian had yet to accept.

"I'm not giving up, if I had then I wouldn't have gotten this far" he said referring to the minimal notes he had in the case file.

"Honestly Damian! I can't with you anymore!" She groaned frustrated "it's not my fault you quit the hero life, that you don't get to feel the pressure or excitement of this life!" He retaliated.

"I quit the hero life because we have kids to take care of and besides the hero life is all you talk about, take away that mask and suit and what are you?" She asked him"genius, billionaire,businessman,
philanthropist" he smirked which quickly faded once he saw her face.

"Did... did you just tony stark me?" She gritted out practically seething with rage.

"Aria I'm sorry I didn't..." Damian quickly tried to apologize but it was too late.

"You know what? Fuck this! And fuck you! Until you've decided you want to come back to your family and civilization don't fucking talk to me" Aria told him trying to contain her emotions as she quietly left the batcave.

Couple hours later....
"I'm not talking to you, you selfish dick but I don't want you to starve either" Aria announced walking into the bat cave holding a tray of food.

She rolled her eyes noticing that Damian hadn't moved from his spot since the last time she's seen him multiple hours ago.

"Thanks Aria for caring for me I know I'm selfish right now but I appreciate you not letting me starve to death, aww your welcome honey no need to thank- woah!" Aria tripped on a staff laying on the floor besides the leather chair, all the food knocking over the tea causing it to spill over his notes.

"I am so sorry" she quickly gushed trying to help him gather his stuff, but all he did was push her away "this was weeks worth of information gone! How can you be so stupid?!" He began yelling turning to face her throwing the ruined paper onto the ground.

"It was an accident I tripped I-" she tried defending herself but Damian wasn't having it "likely story, you've been so desperate for my attention that you went as far as ruining my hard work I can't believe you right now!" He yells going to run his hands through his hair but stops when he noticed her flinch when he raised his hand.

Guilt suddenly washes over him "did... did you just flinch?" His voice laced with hurt, all Aria did was step back a little unable to talk "Aria... did you think I was going to hit you?" Aria now had tears forming in her eyes.

"Hey you'd know I never... I was just mad that my work.." he tried to talk but he couldn't help but watch as her lips quivered as she talked "I need to leave" she mumbled quietly.

"Leave? Where are you going? Aria?" He trailed after her as she began walking out of the bat cave.

"Damian I think it's best if we had some space between us right now" she held a hand out stopping him from coming any closer.

"Come on you know I can't live without you" he pleaded "you've been doing just fine without me the past few weeks what's a few more gonna do?" He watched as the doors closed taking her back up to the manor where they'd been staying the last few weeks.

Aria quickly and quietly made it to their shared room quickly packing a bag to last her at least a week before grabbing Rhea and Tommy and heading out.

She was thankful that Damon and Olivia decided to stay with Lian for the week and weren't here to witness what tommy and rhea were too young to understand.

Aria didn't really plan on leaving yet here she was walking up the familiar steps knocking on the door smiling sadly at the white streaked male who answered "hi daddy"
