Margaret woke silently, she didn't even move when she woke causing her to still look unconscious. Quiet whispers filled the air making an uneasy feeling settle in her stomach.

The girl opened both eyes slowly and was startled to see five familiar pairs of blue eyes staring back at her. Was she still in the shed? No, she was in a bed definitely.

Margaret violently flung her torso forward releasing her shoulders from the cramped sheets around her and the process clashing heads with two of her five siblings all of which sat around the bed with their heads hung over her as if at a funeral.

The room she was in was stuffy and cramped making it hard for her to take full breaths. It was a warm and darkroom too, probably hers and Phyllis's because theirs didn't have any windows.

A serious pain was beginning to form in her temple but everything was fuzzy and numb after her encounter so the pain wasn't really kicking in yet. Margaret's vision was foggy allowing her eyes to only make out shapes as nothing was extremely clear to her.

Her sibling noticed her sudden movements though none of them decided to act too quickly upon their discoveries.

A loud ringing in her ears broke whatever silence Margaret could have received before her siblings started bombarding her with questions. It was the only logical thing to do as a sibling, if you had just found your sister in a pool of her own blood.

"She's awake!" A muffled voice said. "Margaret, What happened?"

All of a sudden, everyone started speaking all at once completely unaware of how much nausea Margaret was experiencing by just trying to focus on one of their muffled voices let alone six at once.

"How's your head?!"

"Are you ok?"

"How do you feel?!"

"What happened to your ears?!"

The pain was growing increasingly worse with every question and the girl felt like giving into nausea and just fainting again. But she needed to tell someone.

Whatever she had experienced was not normal, though some of her classmates could rival the volume at which that thing had reached.

"Stop!" A squeaky voice attempted to shout over the loud voices that surrounded. "She's disorientated! She probably can't even see us! She hit her head really hard, so shut it!

For a split second all heads turned to the voice but just as quickly as it had been done it had been undone and everyone was back to staring down Margaret eager for a reply.

She blinked a few times willing her eyes to focus on the people in front of her. Eventually, everything started to slowly focus and the ringing in Margaret's ears had started to subside. The now dulled pain had given Margaret the chance to think, she needed to find out if that thing was actually real.

Without answering any of her sibling's questions, she threw the sheets off her, swung her legs over the side of her settle bed and ignoring the distant calls from her siblings wobbled through the doorway. She moved one foot in front of the other heading straight for the shed she had just recently passed out in.

Margaret hadn't even gotten to her front door when she crumpled to the floor in pain. The ringing from earlier on had caught up to the present and was now louder than ever.

She could hear hushed whispering as if being said from the other side of a room but she couldn't pinpoint where it was coming from. The redhead attempted to lift her limp body off the ground but the attempts failed.

Margaret felt a muscular pair of arms grab her from underneath her armpits heaving her slumped body of the ground. "Maggie, calm down would ye," Said Mick. "

"No, no, I need to go back. I need to go back" she repeated over and over again, Squirming in his arms accidentally smacking him In the face. "MAGGIE! IM JUST TRYING TO HELP YOU" he managed to shout over her muttering.

She calmed only because her brother held her in such a way she couldn't move her arms or legs.

He carried her into the room she had just recently run out of and placed her down onto the lump ridden bed all of her siblings still in their respective places

"Now tell us Maggie, and don't freak out this time, What happened?" Paddy said slowly as if trying to explain something to a toddler. This angered Margaret but she kept it to herself, she had to tell them what she'd seen.

They weren't going to let her go to the shed if they didn't understand the stakes.

Everyone in the room was looking at her wonder clear on their faces. She took a deep breath and pushed herself up in the bed. Were they even going to believe her?

"I saw the banshee"

She statement was so blunt, so clear. Nobody could have misunderstood it and yet each and every one of her sibling's faces contorted into ones of confusion. Her heart sank and so did all hope of them believing her.

"Y-you hit your head really hard Maggie," Gerard said sincerely genuinely worried about his sister's wellbeing "Maybe you just imagined it?"

A few of the sibling silently agreed though it's was not noticed by her. Margaret closed her eyes and took in a full breath, it's not as if she would have believed anyone had they told her they had seen a mythical creature. It was a crazy thing to expect someone to believe she knew that.

"I'm telling you I'm not imagining it," she said keeping her voice as low and steady as she could. "I went to the shed after dinner to get my shoes because I had left them when Phyllis and I were talking. When I walked in there was this girl with blood-red eyes and Sh-she was crying almost whimpering like she had hurt herself or something. I-I tried to get away but she h-heard me and started to scream, really loudly, it's hurt my ears-and then I passed out."

An awkward silence followed although it wasn't exactly silent for Margaret, the ringing was still prominent in her ears. She scanned each of her sibling's faces, not one showing an ounce of curiosity after her short story.

"Look Mags we went into the shed only a few minutes after you went in because you didn't come home" he paused

"there was no girl," He said trying to finalize the conversation. A few low whispers came from the bottom of the bed through the redhead was still dizzy and couldn't see that far away.

"I'm not lying!" She whined, Margaret knew what she had seen at this point and was getting aggravated with everyone. She yet again scanned each of her siblings faces hoping to find an ounce of softness, of understanding or at least an open mind but yet again none prevailed.

"We're not saying you're lying it's just maybe you were hallucinating?" paddy responded, by this point the only person who hadn't said anything since she'd woken was Pete. His head was bowed and he genuinely looked sick, unlike his four other siblings who were still attempting to comprehend their sister's fibs.

Anger was getting the better of Margaret and all she wanted to do was to go out to the shed and find something that proved that she wasn't lying.

"IM TELLING THE TRUTH!" She screamed anger present on every syllable. Each one of her siblings quickly put their hand over their ears a few eyes shutting as well.

"Margaret, Jesus Christ would ye not be so loud!" Pete finally spoke up. They all looked at him for a split second and then returned their attention back to Margaret.

"We-we'll give you some rest," Said Mick standing up indicating for everyone else to do so. "Come on everyone let's go let's go we haven't got all day"

All the boys filed out of the room though Phyllis lingered at the end of the bed, while Mick stood in the doorway awaiting her to leave too. "Come on Phyllis"

She ignored him and scooted up in the bed closer to Margaret. "Did you really see the banshee?"

"I was so sure bu-but maybe I was hallucinating" she stuttered looking into her sister's eyes. Margaret knew she hadn't hallucinated it all but she didn't want to scare her sister so she opted for a half-truth.

"After all, I do have an amazing imagination" she joked.

"Oh okay" her sister sighed.

Maybe she actually wanted the spirit to be real? Margaret didn't know.

Phyllis filled out after her brothers though Mick had waited for her. He lingered in the doorway.

"Get some rest," he said closing the door.

Getting some rest didn't seem like such a bad idea at this point so Margaret rolled onto her left and closed her eyes. Her body started to relax but her mind was still wide awake and there was one thing it kept telling her to do.

~authors note~

So this ain't getting any views anytime soon but I'm going to keep writing because willpower! I think I only have about two or three chapters left to right before we get into the start of civil war though there will be some pre-CW before we get into all the action. (action being the airport battle scene because there will be some small fight scenes beforehand probably).

Anyway thanks y'all 👋 bye.
