-Lyon P. O. V.-

Ame's first move was powerful.

She raised her hand and clenched her fist. The storm clouds turned from gray to black, making the area seem almost dark.

"Rainstorm!" She cried. Flashes of lightning struck down in rapid succession. Meredy and I narrowly tried to dodge each one. We managed to make it.

Ame let out a low evil chuckle. "You're a fast couple, aren't you? Rain Make: Sphere!"

The clouds let out a blast of water that gathered in a huge sphere in front of her.

"Rain make!? I thought she used rain magic!" Meredy cried.

"This must be like Gray!" I yelled back. "I heard he's recently become an Ice Devil Slayer! This girl is a God Slayer that uses Maker magic, just like him!"

"Dodge this! Water Spikes!" Several spiked shaped shot out of the sphere, flying at us. We tried to dodge, but I got hit in the side and Meredy in the leg. We cried in pain.

"Ice Make: Dragon!" I shouted.

"Hail Strike!"

Before my attack could reach even the sphere, the dragon was destroyed by a flurry of hail.

"Rain Make: Cannon!"

Similar to Gray's attack, the rest of the floating water blasted itself at us. I was able to dodge, but not Meredy with her injured leg. She got blown backwards.

"Meredy!" I cried.

"It's been fun, but I think you two should die now." Ame said, her voice still lowered.

"Hurricane!"

The cloud started swirling in a circular motion. The rain poured down in daggers, stinging my skin.

I can't let this happen. This is my fault that Meredy was out here. I got her hurt.

I ran over to Meredy and threw my body over her.

"Ly... on?" She asked weakly.

"I'm going to protect you." I told her. "When this is over, you tell Jellal I'm sorry that I got you hurt. And when you bring Erza back to Fairy Tail, you tell Gray that I did some serious shit! And tell that to Lamia Scale, too!"

"No, Lyon! Get out of here!"

"I'm not leaving you! This is my fault!"

"Time to die!" Ame smirked wickedly.

"Grand Chariot!"

The storm suddenly dispersed. Ame was thrown off of the tree.

We looked and saw Jellal standing there in front of us.

"Why you little-" Suddenly, Ame stopped.

She stared at Jellal her face studying him.

I couldn't see his face, but I could feel his anger. "Do you dare try to murder my daughter?"

"Jellal!" Meredy cried.

"Jellal... Jellal... Jellal?" Ame seemed to think.

"Do you hear me!? If you don't back down, I shall make you regret this day!"

"No... no, not you... Jellal!" Suddenly, Ame's face was terrified. "Why didn't they tell me he was the same Jellal? I thought about it, but that idea was crazy. That man died seven years ago... But here he is now..."

"What are you talking about!?" Jellal yelled, angrily.

"He's returned... The demon! The blue demon!" Ame suddenly pulled a cloud down from the sky and flew away on it.

Jellal took a few steps away from us and turned around. "Would you two care to explain where you went last night?" His guard was still up.

I helped Meredy to her feet. "We snuck off to get some decent sleep in that cabin." I explained.

"Ah, I see." Jellal still didn't let his guard down. His anger seemed to have lessened, but not by much. "What did you do in there? Do I actually have to kill someone right now?"

Meredy shook her head. "No, No, No. We didn't do that! We just slept, that's all, I swear!"

He finally lowered his guard, almost like it was all an act. "Good."

"Jellal!"

We turned to the bushes to see the rest of our group run through them.

"What happened!?" Erik asked.

"It was Ame Kami of Zenmen Hakai." I said. "She said she came to kill us, but she fled when she saw Jellal, calling him 'the blue demon'. Do you know what that means, Jellal?"

He shook his head. "I have no idea. Meredy, how are you holding up?"

She was leaning on me for support. "I'm fine, aside from my leg. I'll just need it bandaged and I'll be fine. What about you, Lyon? I saw you get hit, too."

"I'll live." I answered. "We should get moving. Kinana, here. Treat Meredy." I gave Meredy over to Kinana who began to treat her leg."

Toishi came over to me. "Lyon? Is Jellal a bad person?"

I was a bit surprised. "What do you mean?"

"You said that girl called him the blue demon. I don't remember who my owner was, but I remember that the blue demon was a bad guy."

I sighed and pat his head. "Toishi. Jellal isn't a bad guy. Some people think he is, heck, he used to be, but now he's redeeming himself."

"Why's he redeeming himself?"

I laughed, looking over at Jellal. He and Erza were talking, and shared a quick laugh.

"For love."

-Third Person P. O. V.-

Ishi sat in his cell, waiting for something to happen.

Well, other than the hostages yelling at him.

"Who the hell are you, you bastard!?"

"Calm down. I'm Ishi Koishi. I'm a second generation stone dragonslayer. I'm a member of Zenmen Hakai, the guild whose prison you are in currently. You have been imprisoned to use as bargaining chips against the leader of Crime Sorciere."

"Why do you need Jellal?"

"I'm not telling you that. That would go against the orders of my princess, Kata."

A female hostage groaned. "Oh god, not another person obsessed with love! Mira would have a field day with you."

"Hey, we're not obsessed, Ame is. Kata and I... We go way back. We had a dream, a peaceful life, then that Erza Scarlet came and fucked everything up."

"Erza would never do something like that!"

Ishi laughed. "Oh yeah? Do go on."

"We know Erza! She would never murder anybody, unless she absolutely had to! It must've been that! Self defense or protecting somebody!"

"Yeah, and who are you to say so about that?"

"I'm Lu-"

"Hey Ishi." Another hostage cut off the girl.

"What is it?"

"Do you think Erza is a murderer?"

His question threw Ishi off guard. "Of course!"

"And why do you think that?"

Ishi slammed his fist against the bars.

"Because I saw her do so with my own two eyes!"
