"Welcome to the Seelie Glade, Zee Young." Meliorn said as we walked through the never ending woods, surrounded by greens and small flakes of white falling from the sky, "The remotest edges of it."

"It's peaceful." I shrug lightly, walking with Jace, "What I didn't understand is- why we had to come here to find my father?"

"Because of your sister's necklace." Meliorn explained, "It's a Portal shard."

Jace inhales sharply, almost rolling his eyes at him, "Tell us something we don't know."

Meliorn looks at me, "How does it work?"

I shrug lightly, "Whenever Clary touched the crystal and thinks of someone, she could see where they were."

Meliorn looks at Jace, "I'm curious, Shadowhunter, who knows so much about Portals, did you never wonder why this Portal shard doesn't behave the way normal Portals do?"

"Normal Portals can only take you to places you've been." Jace doesn't look at him, "I guess I never really thought about it."

Meliorn remarks, making me laugh quietly, and Jace to shoot me an irritated look, "I see Isabelle is the smart one in the family."

Meliorn then fills us in, "Your Portal shard works the way it does because it's a piece of a Portal from another dimension."

I stopped, "Another dimension?"

"You're saying there's a Portal in some other universe that can take us to anyone if we just think of them?" Jace crosses his arms.

Meliorn confirms, "If you can find the only Portal still standing in that dimension, it will take you to your father."

-

Meliorn gestures around us, "These trees are where the alternate dimensions intersect the Seelie realm."

Jace uncrossed his arms, "How is it possible that the Clave doesn't know about your dimensional doorways?"

"They are our most guarded secret." Meliorn stopped in front of two binded trees, "We are their protectors, only Seelies know of their existence."

I shot him a look, stopping as well, "Then why are you telling us?"

Meliorn looks at me, "I owe you a life debt and I don't like being indebted to anyone."

I placed my hands on my hips, "What would happen if-"

"If the Seelie Queen finds out I've shared this with you?" Meliorn finished my sentence, "I could be executed."

Jace runs a hand through his hair, "Well, we'll be extra careful then."

"There is no "we" in this scenario." Meliorn looked at Jace, "Only Zee goes in to find the Portal, my debt is to her."

Jace shot back at him almost immediately in spite, "You've given us no reason to trust you, Seelie."

I pretended to be suddenly interested in my glove, muttering under my breath, "Well, he did bring us here-"

Jace looked at me, his features twisting in offense as if I had wounded him, "You're supposed to me on my side."

I looked at him defensively, "I am!"

Meliorn began using his magic, moving the vines between the trees upward, "This will establish a connection to the other dimension."

"What's it like?" I blurt out suddenly, "The other dimension. Is it like this one?"

Meliorn's answer was simple, "It is but it isn't."

Jace rolls his eyes, "Could you be more vague?"

"It is an alternate timeline, in a sense." Meliorn continued to use his magic, "There, Shadowhunters and demons no longer exist. Downworlders have conformed to the mundane way of life to avoid detection."

My hands slip into the pockets of my leather jacket, "What happened to the Shadowhunters?"

"Their services were no longer required, because they won the war against the demons, centuries ago." Meliorn's magic made a door start to appear, "Once they sealed the rifts between their worlds, their culture faded away."

"Once you arrive in the alternate dimension, you will assume the body of the Zee in that world." Meliorn continued, "You will think and feel just like her."

"But- I'll still know I'm not a part of that dimension, right?" I questioned, "I'll know I have to find the Portal using Clary's necklace?"

"There's a catch." Jace sighs deeply, "With Seelies, there's always a catch."

Meliorn looked back at me for just a moment, "Your alternate self could consume you if you let it."

"Uhm-" I clear my throat, "Is there a way to- not let it?"

"Focus on the differences between that world and ours." Meliorn strains, "Find something or someone to keep you grounded to this one."

"Okay-" I exhale deeply, "I can handle it."

"It will be more difficult than you think." Meliorn said to me, "If you don't hurry, you could cease to be this world's Zee Young."

I looked down, "And be stuck in that world forever."

-

"I just need to be sure it's safe." I stood in front of Jace, shoving the Mortal Cup card in his inside jacket pocket as the night had fallen over us, "Just in case- I don't make it back."

Jace gently grabs my face and unexpectedly presses a kiss to my lips, "You're coming back."

"As much as I loved that-" I clear my throat lightly, a rose color taking up my cheeks, "What do either of us know about interdimensional travel?"

Jace softly smiled at me in humor, "Little bit."

I playfully roll my eyes, "Really?"

Jace leans his forward against mine and pressed his lips into mine again, holding me as if I'm the most delicate thing he had ever put his hands on.

"It's time." Meliorn's voice makes us break apart, my eyes landing on the huge doors between the trees.

I shot Jace a look, then inhale sharply, "Meliorn, I appreciate the risk you're taking, but a life debt requires you ensure my safety, so I'll agree to go alone but if I find this alternate Portal, I won't be able to face Valentine on my own."

Jace nods, backing me up, "She'll need backup."

"If you find the Portal, you may come back for him." Meliorn nods back to us, "Shadowhunters need Seelie permission to go through, only demons can pass through unaided."

Meliorn began to speak Seelie, opening the doors, the doors opening up to a colorful portal.

I gave Jace one last look before entering the portal, my vision changing to me holding plates, the day seeming brighter.

My hair was longer than how I usually kept it, dressed in white sneakers and ripped mom jeans, a chain hanging from them, a white tank top tucked into them with a brown flannel over top, unbuttoned, Clary's necklace suddenly around my neck.

I turned, looking around to be aware of my surroundings when I see Valentine Morgenstern walking over to the table, setting down a few plates.

I looked around, grabbing the first knife I see, jerking it towards him suddenly, "Stay still, you son of a bitch!"

"Whoa." Valentine moves back lightly, chuckling with his hands up in surrender, "Is this from one of your scripts?"

I held still, staring at him; confused.

"Uh, honey?" Valentine called out into the loft, "Come in here, you gotta see this."

"No, seriously, you have to let me come with you, just once, okay?" Valentine simply grabbed more plates, "I want to see what you do at these things, all right?"

My mother then walks in, "Val, you're not allowed to go on set with her, you'd stick out like a sore thumb."

"Mom?" I dropped the knife, "What're you doing here- with him? What the hell-"

My mother walks over and picks up the knife, "This is exactly why we don't play with knives, Zee."

"She's not five anymore, Marg." Valentine kisses her cheek and placed the plate filled with waffles on the table, "She's a mature woman."

My mother looks at him, "That still lives with her parents."

Valentine shrugs lightly, "Because she loves them."

My eyes scan around the room, landing on paintings. Each one of them were marked with the name Margaret Morgenstern.

My mother laughs, as my head snapping towards them, "Zee, in honor of your father's Mad Hatter party tonight-"

"Your mom made waffles for you." Valentine smiled giddily at her and sat at the table, "Come on, kiddo, you gotta eat somethin', right?"

"Uh, yeah-" I stammer, sitting down, looking between the two of them.

They seemed so happy.

"So, Zee, when do I get to meet this new man in your life, hm?" Valentine cut into his waffles, humming.

My mother sat next to him, "You're already grilling her about this?"

"What?" Valentine got defensive, but playful, "I have to give my stamp of approval, right?"

My mother laughs and points at the tv, "Oh, Zee, look at this commercial, it's hilarious- it's so bad, it's good."

I looked at the tv screen, my eyes landing on Hodge, wanting to burst out into laughter at him, "-and almost broke when Magnus Bane helped me figure out what I was supposed to do with my life. Now?" He kicks, "I run my own dojo."

"After being mauled by a suspect's dog Magnus helped me realize that maybe the police force wasn't my calling." Luke came on the tv, wearing glasses and a suit, as I covered my mouth, "So, I opened up a rare bookstore. Now, I'm doing what I love."

"Thanks, Magnus Bane." They said in unison.

"I'm Magnus Bane." Magnus appeared on the tv, Margaret and Valentine giggling, "Come in today for a tarot card and psychic reading. I'll help you find your way."

As I stared at the tv screen, I felt a wave of dizziness.

An overwhelming wave, everything sounding in an echo, until I heard the forks clinging against the plates, snapping me out of it and alert.

I jumped up, "I have to go."

"What?" My mother's went wide with surprise.

Valentine followed up, "I thought you were spending the morning with us."

"I, uh, have a last minute assignment due that I haven't even started yet, so-" I made something up, running around of the room, "I gotta go, sorry!"

-

"Hey!" Simon Lewis ran over to me in the broad daylight, "Where have you been?"

Clary was by his side, a wide smile on her lips, "We've been texting you for, like, 20 minutes."

"Simon, get out of the sun!" I suddenly blurt out, pulling him into the shade.

"Hey, what the hell?" Simon pulled away from me, confused, his eyes scanning my face, "Oh no."

My eyebrows furrow in confusion, "What?"

Clary was picking up what he was realizing as well, "Alec, we need you!"

"Hey, Zee-" Alec joins us, looking like a completely different person, "I know that look."

I was filled with confusion, "What look?"

"Caffeine deprivation." Alec grabbed my arm, pulling me along with him, Simon and Clary following, "Come on, you need to get caffeinated as soon as humanly possible."

"Alec!" I stumbled as he pulled me with ease, "I don't have time for coffee today."

"No, no, no, I know that look in your eye." Alec denied and stood me at the table with Isabelle, Simon and Clary, "And when you get that look, I either have to caffeinate you immediately or accept full responsibility for you killing someone."

My jaw drops lightly, not knowing what to say.

"Exactly, I'll be right back." Alec kisses my forehead, walking toward the coffee truck that was labeled Java Jace.

Isabelle points out the necklace, "Is that new?"

I clear my throat, "Yes, I got it a couple days ago."

Clary nods once, "Oh, it goes with your dress?"

I repeat, "My dress?"

"Because you're getting ready at my place tonight, right?" Isabelle questions, looking between Clary and I in question.

Alec then walks over, setting a coffee in front of me, "Must be caffeinated immediately."

"Thank you-" I gave him a soft smile, then looked back at Isabelle and Clary in confusion, "What're we getting ready for tonight?"

"That is not even a little bit funny." Alec realized what we were talking about, pointing at me, "I have poured my heart and soul into planning this anniversary party for the Institute."

Alec then emphasized, "And the theme is amazing."

The way he acted made me wonder if he and Magnus were together in this inter-dimension.

Alec adds in a little bit later, "But, seriously, what is with this guy and the Mad Hatter?"

"Visionaries are quirky crazy." Isabelle was defensive, "You don't get 4D Internet tech thinking inside the box."

Alec looked at his sister, "I'm beginning to wonder if you don't have a thing for your boss."

Isabelle twirls a piece of her loose strands, "Like, if Zee's dad would ever go for me-"

I blink in surprise, "Wait, my dad?"

"Uh, no, I'm totally kidding!" Isabelle quickly stammers out and puts her headphones in, "I mean, I'm not crushing on your dad, right, of course not-"

Then, I felt a hand touch my back gently, hearing Jace's soft but seductive voice in my ear, "Hey."

I turned a little and looked at him, my eyes widening a little, "Hey-"

Jace wraps his arms around me from behind, grabbing my hands and spinning me to face him, "You wanna get out of here?"

This made my heart leap out of my chest, even when I knew this wasn't my Jace.

I swallow hard, "Sure-"

Jace bites his bottom lip to hold back a smile, pulling me along with him to the front of his truck, pushing me up against it and pressing his lips into mine unexpectedly.

I grabbed his face, kissing back almost instantly.

Jace pecks my lips slowly, "I can't wait till tonight."

I stammer, "For the party?"

"Just shut up and kiss me." Jace broke out into a smirk, his hand at the back of my head as he kissed me again, more deeply and passionately.

My heart was beating out of my chest as I melted into the kiss, feeling myself slip away from myself.

As Jace kisses down my neck, there was a honking, making me snap out of the trance I had fallen in.

I breathe heavily, pushing him off, "No, no!-"

Jace stumbles back, startled, "Zee?-"

"I'm sorry, I can't," I began running away from him, due to me getting so distracted so easily.

Jace shouts after me, "Zee!"

-

"The Lovers, you are in a loving relationship." Magnus flips a card as I sat at the table across from him, "This man has a strong hold on you. You feel a magnetic attraction to him that you cannot escape. Tonight will define your relationship."

I watched him, thinking about Jace, even if I wasn't really here for a reading.

"You hope he is your soul mate." He continued to flip cards, "But- secrets revealed will threaten to tear you apart."

I start to slip away once more, a familiar dizziness surrounding me until a cat jumps in front of me, meowing, a gasp leaving my lips, a blurt leaving my lips, "You don't have a cat!"

"I have two." He corrects, looking at both cats, "Chairman Meow and Church."

I sat up, looking at Magnus, "Okay- I'm not actually here for a reading."

"I know you're a warlock, Magnus." I got straight to the point, "I'm a Shadowhunter."

Magnus laughs, "There are no more Shadowhunters. Haven't been for hundreds of years."

"I'm serious, Magnus." I got up, putting my hair behind my ear and began pacing, "I know it sounds insane but- I'm from an alternate reality."

"If that were true without an anchor, you'd be assimilating into this world." Magnus watched me.

"I'm trying to fight it, and it's getting harder and harder with every moment that goes by." I admitted, stopping and facing him, "In my dimension, Shadowhunters still battle demons. And now there is something- someone, a threat that is ten times worse and I need your magic to help me stop him."

Magnus got up, shaking his head, "I can't help you, my magic's gone dormant."

"Then wake it the hell up." I took a step closer to him, "The threat I'm dealing with is much worse than anything else- so, I'm not leaving here until you help me."

-

"This better work." Magnus sighs, sipping something out of a cup, his face twisting in disgust.

"If it takes so gross, it should." I looked up at him from the spell book I was skimming through, "What's it do?"

He grimaces at the taste, setting down the cup, "Hopefully kick-start my magic."

I stare at him, waiting for a reaction, "And?"

"Give it a minute?" He suggests defensively, walking over to me, "That book is very precious, warlock spells preserved in all their grandeur."

"Well, I've never seen a book so stunning." I eye the page I was on, my finger tip tracing the writing.

"This isn't working, this is the longest I've ever abstained." He walks away and picks up the cup again, "From a lot of things."

"Just- try something simple, not too hard." I suggest, walking over to him, pointing at something, "Move that."

Magnus puts down the cup and tries to use his magic to move it, only to grunt and scoff when it doesn't work the way we wanted him to.

I stare at him for a moment, clearing my throat, wiggling my arms around and demonstrating how he was in my dimension, "I'd say- usually, you have a little bit more of a flourish to it."

Magnus scoffs in denial, "I do not look like that."

"I mean- well- you kinda do." I shrugged, "It looks flawless when you do it."

Magnus stares at me for a moment and tried once more, only to grunt deeply in frustration.

I sigh, "Magnus, we just have to find the Portal."

Magnus looks at me, "Even if my magic was working, I'd still need an energy signature of some kind to track it."

"I mean- we could try this, it's a portal shard that I somehow brought into this dimension with me-" I pull out the portal shard, "I don't know how-"

"Because it's of this dimension- It belongs here." Magnus grabs onto it with me, a pulsating filling my body, purple moving to my arm for a second, energy sparking within me, causing me to gasp.

"Now that's what I'm talking about, we have lift off." Magnus breathes deeply, looking into the distance, "The energy is very faint. It's been dormant for a long time- like me. Let's see if we can wake it up."

I looked at him, "Can you see it?"

"Yes." He nods, "It's in a subbasement of Fort Knox."

My eyes began to widen, "Wait, literally speaking?-"

"No, but it might as well be." Magnus sighs deeply, "The Institute."

My eyebrows furrow in confusion, "And why is that a problem?"

"High tech, high security." Magnus told me, "Impossible to get into."

"And hosting an anniversary party tonight that I am invited to." I put the portal shard into my pocket, my phone buzzing, seeing a text from Isabelle, "Damn it, well, okay- I can get you on the guest list."

"Meet me tonight at 7:00 p.m at the Institute." I informed him before running off, "Dress to impress."

-

"I thought we were getting ready until later-" I walked into Isabelle's room, "What's the emergency?"

Then I notice the bruise on her face, "What the hell happened?"

"Kickboxing class." Isabelle sniffles, tears burning in her eyes, "I thought, why not, quick class after work, nd, boom! Home in time to see you."

"Well, you got the "boom" part right." I muttered, walking over to her.

"Andrea's foot right into my face." Isabelle rambles, "She has to pick today to finally land her roundhouse?"

I grabbed her arms, "Isabelle-"

"What are people gonna think?" Isabelle continued, "And then Alec worked so hard to plan this- I just cannot not go to the party, and what am I supposed to do? I worked so hard."

"Isabelle!" I stop her, making her sit on the bed, "We're gonna fix it."

"Okay." Isabelle sniffles as I grabbed the concealer and a brush from her desk, "But then we have to fix you and Jace, because the two of you not talking really messes with my chi."

I looked at her for a moment, blinking, before sitting next to her, squeezing the concealer onto the back of my hand.

Isabelle takes off her glasses, "Are you sure that's the color?"

"We will make it work, I promise." I put some on the brush, and began hiding her huge bruise.

Isabelle sniffles quietly, "Okay, because if I don't show up to the party, your dad and Simon are so gonna kill me."

"So, um- do you think you could get a friend of mine on the guest list for tonight?" I questioned, blending in the concealer.

Isabelle folds her hands together, "Um- well, if you make this work, I'll do anything for you."

-

I looked around the party, looking for Magnus as I was dressed in off the shoulder, navy blue dress, my heels hitting the ground as I walked through every inch.

I froze in my spot when I see my mother and Valentine smiling at each other widely, dancing in the middle of the dance floor.

They looked so in love.

I blinked a few times, shaking my head as I began walking away when I felt someone grab my wrist and spin me towards them, my eyes landing on Jace.

I blink on surprise, "Jace."

Jace noticed my expression, "Zee, what's going on with you?"

I clear my throat, "Nothing-"

As if on cue, Valentine joins us, "This must be the Jace I've heard so much about."

"Uh, yes, sir." Jace shook Valentine's hand.

"Sir is for my father." Valentine put his hands behind his back, "Call me Mr. Morgenstern."

Just for a moment I wished this was real.

I inhale sharply, "Uh, Dad, this is, um, our song."

"Oh, right." Valentine nods and steps back, "Nice to meet you."

"It was a pleasure to nice-" Jace messed up, "Uh, nice to meet you as well."

I smiled at him, going soft.

I knew my Jace wouldn't mess up so easily, but I enjoyed seeing this inter-dimensional Jace.

As I began to walk away to look for Magnus some more, Jace grabs my arm, "Zee, really- what's going on with you?"

I looked at him, "I said, nothing-"

"You- you ran away from me this morning." Jace stammers in surprise, "And you- you didn't respond to my texts all day, and now you won't even dance with me?"

"I'm sorry, okay?" I sigh, "I've got a lot on my mind."

"Just one dance." Jace held his finger up, pleading.

"Fine." I have in and placed my phone on the table, walking out onto the dance floor with Jace, "One."

Jace smiles lightly and pulls me into him as we danced, "You got somewhere else to be?"

I felt myself slip away easily.

I didn't even try to stop it.

It was getting too exhausting.

I felt myself being consumed by the reality, giggling as Jace presses his lips into mine.

I slowly pulled away, smiling like an idiot, "I'll be right back, okay?"

Jace pecked my lips once more, "Promise?"

"I promise!" I giggled again and pecked his lips back, slipping away from him and walking toward the drinks.

Suddenly, a man comes over to me and grabs my arm, "Come on, let's go-"

I let him pull me along for a moment before stopping him, "I'm sorry- who are you?"

"Zee, it's me, Magnus." His eyes widen lightly, standing in front of me, his voice beginning to echo, "Focus."

"I- I don't know who you are-" I stammer, beginning to pull my arm away from him, "Dude, I-"

He snaps his fingers, a hologram of a cat appearing.

My eyes widen, pulling myself back, engraving it into my mind that Magnus doesn't own a cat.

I sigh deeply, "That was close."

Magnus sighs in relief, "You're telling me."

"This way, come on-" I lead him to the doors and downstairs, memories of a dead Simon Lewis filling my mind at the familiar room.

Except this was filled with mostly storage.

Magnus looks around, as I questioned, "What are we even looking for, Magnus?"

"I'll know it when I see it." Magnus continued to look, as I watched him.

I inhale sharply, "What if this doesn't work?"

"It will, biscuit." Magnus assures me, "I can feel it."

Footsteps filled the room as Jace's voice followed, "You know, if you were having second thoughts about us, you could have told me, instead of coming down here and hooking up with some random guy."

"Jace, this is not what you think." I sigh deeply, looking at him, running a hand through my hair, "Actually, this isn't exactly a good time either."

"Really?" Jace inched closer to me, "You know when would be a good time for me, Zee?"

"Never." Jace's voice sounded broken as he shook his head towards me, "Never call me again."

"Jace, wait-" I took a step closer to him, desperately trying to save inter-dimensional me's relationship.

Suddenly, a Ravener demon was growling behind Jace, as I moved him out of the way immediately, ripping the side of my dress, kicking it back with a grunt.

Jace's eyes were wide; frightened, "What the hell is that thing?"

I grabbed him, running with Magnus, "Let's go!"

-

"Hey, it's okay." I shushed a trembling Jace, as he breathed heavily, shaking with fear, "It's fine-"

Suddenly, there was a vibration feeling coming from him, making me jump back lightly and get defensive, pointing at him, "Wow-"

Jace stopped shaking, looking at his attire, then at me, his eyes filled with amusement, "What did I miss?"

I stood still, cautious, "Jace?"

"Yeah." Jace nods once, amused that I didn't know right away, "You okay?"

"Oh my god-" I threw my arms around him and held onto him tightly, "I don't think I've ever been happier to see you."

Jace hugged back for a second, then pulled away, glancing at his attire again, "Mind filling me in?"

The sound of the Ravener demon snarling fills the room as it appears and grabs Jace by the collar, tossing him to the side.

"How much more do you need to know?" I grab the nearest pole, grunting as I fought off the demon as best I could as Jace recollected himself.

Jace joins in with a stick he had found, we fought the demon off together, and as I finish the demon off, the demon stings him, Jace letting go of his stick and falling onto his knees.

I gasp, stabbing the demon, killing it, before dropping to my knees, Jace tearing off his blazer, coughing and holding his neck, "Jace-"

Jace gasps for air, digging through his pockets, "Where's my stele?"

"It didn't come through with you-" I said to him in alert and worry, "Just like your seraph blade-"

Magnus joins us, "You're gonna need more than a stele for that."

I looked at him, "Will Portaling him back to his own body cure him?"

"No, blood travels with you, it's why your angelic powers still work here." said Magnus, "The demon venom is in his blood."

I exhale deeply, "Then we have to get him back to the Institute in our dimension."

Jace shook his head as Magnus went to look for the portal, "No, we've gotta find Valentine-"

"Jace, you're in no condition to fight right now." I shook my head in denial, "He could use you to his advantage- I- it's okay, we'll find another way-"

"We might not get another chance, Zee." Jace's breathing was ragged, "This is too important."

Magnus' shout filled our ears, "I found it!"

"Come on." I helped Jace up, letting in lean onto me for support as we walked over to him, "Magnus."

Magnus took the portal shard from me and placed it in the wall, opening up a portal.

Jace breathes heavily, "You'll have to destroy the Portal after we go through."

Magnus questions, "Why?"

"To secure your dimension from all sides." Jace told him, coughing quietly, "Otherwise, if it stays open, you'll be vulnerable to demon attacks again."

"I'll take care of it and the malodorous monstrosity on that table." Magnus assures us, then grabs my arm gently, "Thank you."

I looked at him, "I should be thanking you."

"No- you gave me back a life, I won't forget it." Magnus told me, then nods his head, "Now, go."

"Think of your father." Jace said to me before we entered the portal, escaping that inter dimension.

-

The minute we came out of the other side of the portal, Jace slips from me and lands on the ground in pain.

We were back in our normal attire, except Jace's wound was still there.

"Jace-" I fell to my knees next to him, as he groans in pain, breathing heavily, "I'm here, it's okay-"

"Hold still," I instruct, pulling out the sting from his neck as he let out a pained groan.

"No going back now." He grabbed out his stele, waving it over his Iratze rune.

I exhale deeply in worry, "Magnus was right, it's not working-"

"It's enough." He grunts, as I helped him up.

I looked around, pulling out my kindjals, "I don't know if this is what Clary saw- but, we can give it a shot."

I stop, noticing many needles and fluids on a metal surface, looking at them in horror, "What is all this?"

"The makings of an army." Jace picks up an empty syringe with traces of a previous substance in it, then drops it, huffing, "There's no one here."

"Zee- get behind me." Jace guards me quickly despite the venom in his veins, when there is a shaking and banging from two doors ahead of us.

"The hell?" I stepped aside, "You get behind me!"

Jace shot me a look, before opening the door, his eyes landing on the unknown man, his eyes widening in surprise, "It can't be. It can't be-"

I looked from the man, to Jace, "It can't be- what?"

"You died-" Jace started to tear up at the sight of the man, "I saw it."

"Jace?" The man said softly, frozen where he was, "Jace- is it really you?"

"Jace- who the hell is that?" I was cautious, staring at Jace, realization running through my mind, "Is he who I think he is?"

Jace looks at me, letting out a shaky breath as he softly nodded to me, "He's my father."
