Catherine stood up and walked to the other side of the table where Jacob Kowalski sat quite in a haze, "He hasn't eaten anything all day." Queenie inputted when she saw her ginger housemate and friend assess the muggle. Catherine clicked her tongue and gave the muggle a disapproving glance while she pressed her hand to his forehead.
Jacob's brown eyes met her green ones, her proximity to him made him still completely in both fascination and curiosity, "Slightly heavy transpiration, accelerated and heavy breathing." Catherine began to vocally identify, "He was bitten." Tina informed, bringing her glass of water to her lips, taking a sip and narrowly missing the disapproving look from Newt.
"By what?" the ginger questioned, moving her eyes from the mesmerized and hazed muggle to her fellow witch, Tina moved her eyes to Newt, finally meeting his blue eyes, forcing the other two women to do the same, "Was it the Niffler thing?" Queenie questioned worriedly, her hand raising to rest over her heart.
"Nifflers don't bite people." Newt and Catherine said simultaneously, their eyes meeting the moment they did, "Was it dangerous?" the ginger inquired the mousy brown hairse man softly, keeping a hand on Jacob's shoulder, "It was a Murtlap." Newt confessed lowly, averting his eyes from the ginger, almost as if he had expected her to berate him to an early grave.
"Sweet Rowena and Helena Ravenclaw." Catherine groaned, walking around back to her seat, "I'll take care of him after dinner, he is in dire need of food." the second her bottom touched the chair, Jacob swooped a full fork into his mouth, moaning slightly at the flavour "This... is heavenly."
"Kitty, when you got home you mentioned that Nurse Hewitt advised you to do something." Queenie prompted, peering over to the side at the ginger, remembrance flashed across her features, "Ohh Nurse Hewitt told me to think about adopting sunshine." she replied, quite happily, any anger that she might have been feeling about the incident involving Newt and Jacob leaving her body completely.
"Will you?" Tina questioned promptly, concern etching on her face, "I don't know, she's about to have the charms removed any day now and will most likely be sent to an orphanage." Catherine confessed, glancing down at her plate. "I don't think that I'm ready to adopt a child, have a child."
Tina and Queenie shared a knowing look, knowing fully well that Catherine was absolutely besotted with the little baby girl she'd affectionately nicknamed sunshine while the two men kept eating quietly.
"Are you a nurse?" Jacob asked, his breath becoming slightly ragged, his brown eyes locking on her figure, "Yes she is." Queenie replied promptly, her upbeat voice echoing through the apartment, "I'm a Mediwitch." Catherine corrected, patting the blonde's hand slightly as a reminder to calm down. "A doctor in muggle terms."
"So you actually went through with getting your medical degree?" Newt questioned, his blue eyes locking on her features, watching as she took a sip of her drink and nodded as she swallowed, "Top student of my year, was a trainee at St. Mungos before being transferred to St. Jouge's." Newt nodded at her words, smiling softly at her, something that made Queenie nudge Tina about without either or the two, or the muggle in their presence actually noticing.
"Am I correct to hear that you are working on a book about all the wizarding creatures in the world?" The ginger questioned, her eyes shinning with both curiosity and uneasiness, uncertain of whether it was a good approach or not. "You are, who told you?" the mousy brown haired man nodded, "My brother, Silas, who heard from your brother." Catherine replied.
