TRIGGER WARNING: brief mention of suicide

A knock on the door to Jimin's bedroom interrupted his bath, causing for the prince to sigh loudly.

"What is it?" He asked, the annoyance in his voice as clear as day.

He had been in his own room for only less than an hour after a long and exhausting day of preparing for his coronation, which was set to happen in two months.

"Your dinner, your highness." One of the maids' voice spoke, obviously intimidated by the tone the prince had used.

"Oh, bring it in." 

The entrance to the bedroom opened, suprisingly not making a sound at all as the maid pushed open the heavy doors. Her eyes flashed the color red as she saw that her future king was taking a bath but she quickly controlled it, knowing that Jimin appreciated professionalism and wasn't into women at all.

"What is it?"

"Deer blood, your highness." She spoke with a small voice, reaching the tray out.

Jimin eyed the silver cup for a long moment, making the maid feel nervous.

Just as he reached his arm out to grab the cup, one of the warriors- Jungkook ran into the room. He quickly stopped on his tracks as he read the situation he had walked in on.

"Jungkook, I love you and all but this better be something important or I'm snapping your neck." Jimin's voice boomed in the room.

The maid almost whimpered in fear as Jimin glared at her. "Go away, I'll have dinner later."

"Jimin, don't scare her." Jungkook chuckled, closing the doors as the maid exited.

"If she thinks that's scary then she better stay and see if I really don't find your business here important."

Jungkook eyes didn't even waver as Jimin kept threatening him.

"I know we've been friends since forever but these are busy times and I'm exhausted and I feel like killing someone right now, and you happen to be the only one in the room."

"Awww you're so scary." Jungkook cooed, grabbing a clean towel from the pile next to the bathtub.

"What is it?" Jimin asked, now a little calmer.

Jungkook offered the towel for him and Jimin got up, stepping out of the bathtub and wrapping the towel around his waist.

Even though Jungkook was attracted to men, and Jimin, the Park Jimin was right in front of him basically naked, his eyes never showed any signs of the red color that made an appearance when a vampire felt lust for something.

"A human has been detected in the underworld." Jungkook spoke.

Jimin raised his eyebrows. "First one in years, how did that end up here?"

"It's not sure yet, but either they somehow accidentally stumbled upon the main passage or they're one of the people who've ended up here because they tried to commit suicide at the second passage."

The prince nodded nonchalantly. If the human was someone who had tried to commit suicide, this would be an easily handled problem. But if they were someone that had accidentally stumbled upon the main passage in the forest somewhere unknown to everyone else but the elders of the underworld, this could be a real headache for Jimin.

"I don't understand why the second passage has to be in the depths of a river." 

"It was there befo-"

Jimin interrupted his friend. "Before the beginning of time, I know."

He quickly dressed up in tight black pants paired with just as tight white shirt, showcasing all of the defined muscles in his body. "Where is this human now?"

"At the gates."

Jimin turned around, holding a diamond choker in his hands. "Oh really?"

Now he was curious. He had never seen a human in real life, just heard stories of some that his father had met and either killed or returned back to the human world.

"Can you help me with this?" He asked Jungkook, dangling the jewelry in front of him.

Jungkook nodded and clasped the choker on Jimin, ruffling his hair playfully. "Why do you always have to look so good when you leave your room?"

Jimin rolled his eyes at the casual compliment. He wasn't even trying this time, just dressed up and put on a choker. No makeup or excessive accessories like for example the tiara he usually wore on duty.

"Is it a male or a female?" Jimin asked, heading out of the bedroom.

He wanted to see this human.

"Male." Jungkook answered, following his friend out.

He was hearing news at that exact moment from the in ear that he had. The kingdom might have seemed like it was old fashioned, but for security reasons there had to be some technology.

"The guards seem to be a little baffled."

"Why?"

Jungkook took a few longer steps to catch up with Jimin so they were walking side to side.

The castle's staff and visitors were all making way for the two, bowing as their future king passed them.

"They're saying that the human doesn't seem to be afraid at all." Jungkook explained, furrowing his eyebrows.

"Should he be afraid of something?" 

"Well... Red eyes and fangs." Jungkook laughed.

"Right, right." Jimin nodded.

He forgot for a moment that humans would not be used to seeing something like that.

"No one touch the human, not at least before I get down there." Jimin said to Jungkook. "Tell them it's an order from me."

A carriage waited for the future king and he stepped in, readying himself for the road down to the gates which would take a little more than 15 minutes.

"If he doesn't need to be returned to the human world, he could be the one you drink from before your coronation." Jungkook suggested in a careful manner.

Jimin immediately glared at him. He had never drunk human blood, no one else but the elders and his late father had. But before becoming the king, one must drink human blood. It was written in the rules and there was no changing it.

The future king didn't like the idea of drinking human blood. Vampires only drank from another person to show great intimacy, love even.
