This is the final chapter! I'm so sad but so happy! I really enjoyed writing this, and your guys' comments made it even better. Anyways, there will be a sequel. I'll put the title at the end of the chapter!

Chat popped his eyes open as he felt freezing cold water surround him. He quickly swam up.

As soon as he broke the surface he began to cough and sputter out the water in his mouth. He watched as Nino and Juleka's heads bobbed out of the water. Chat began to look around for Marinette.

"Marinette!" But no one came up. He took a deep breath before diving back down into the freezing water. His night vision turned on as he saw a green version of Marinette struggling against the water. Her arms and legs kicked spazzically and she had puffed out cheeks.

Chat swam as fast as he could down to her. He grabbed her slim waist and held onto her with one arm as he propelled them up.

She began to cough water out as they reached the air and held on tightly to Chat. She shivered from the freezing air and equally cold water as she continued to cough into his shoulder. He held on tightly to her and floated in place as Nino and Juleka swam over to them in a hurry.

"Can't..." She coughed again before continuing. "Swim." She hated herself for it, but she never grew up learning how to swim. She didn't like going to the pool, instead she liked to draw in her sketchbook of a new swimsuit instead. She was starting to regret that choice.

Chat gave her a soft smile at her attempt of a joke. "Just hold onto me Princess. I'll protect you." He told her before Nino and Juleka got to them.

"Marinette are you okay?!" Nino asked as he swam to the other side of her. She nodded her head in response.

"Can't swim." She explained in a scratchy voice. Nino looked at how desperately she clung to Chat for safety.

"Are you scared of water? Like, in an ocean or a pool?" Marinette nodded again as goosebumps raised on her arms.

"W-Who do you th-think is in the n-n-nightmare?" She chattered out as she shivered. Chat held her tightly as he began to swim in a random direction.

"Only one way to find out."

Marinette's lips were starting to turn blue. Chat had noticed that a few minutes ago. As he looked around, the others had blue lips as well, and were puffing out white clouds of breath.

"H-hold o-on t-t-to me f-for w-warmth." He told them. They began to crowd around Marinette, giving her the most warmth. She tried her best to warm Chat up but her cold body could do nothing. His blonde hair was starting to freeze as was hers. The hair plastered to her face were crisp and immobile.

"K-Kitty. M-May-b-be i-it's not a d-dream." She shivered and held onto him tighter and secretly nuzzled his neck in affection.

His heart raced at the feeling and he grinned. "I still h-have t-to save you a-anyways." He turned his head slightly and cheekily winked at her.

Nino and Juleka were completely oblivious to their conversation.

"Hello?" Nino called out into the gray world.

"Help!" A girl screamed. Out in the distance, Marinette pointed towards the floating pink in the distance.

"Alix! C-Chat it's A-Alix!" Marinette said loudly into Chat's ear. He nodded and began to paddle forward, as fast as his frozen, numb, bones could go.

When they were closer Marinette yelled Alix's name again, catching the pink haired girl's attention. Nino swam ahead to go grab her but something invisible knocked him back.

"Nino a-are you o-okay?" Marinette asked as Nino balanced himself out in the water. He nodded before answering. "Something l-like a f-f-force field is b-bl-blocking the w-way dudette."

"Alix!" Marinette called out.

"Marinette? H-Help! I can't take it anymore! It's too much pressure! I feel like I'm drowning!" The small teen cried out as she blindly looked around.

Can she not see us?

"W-What is?" Chat yelled back.

"Trying to get my dad to be proud of me! H-He wants me to look and act like a- a perfect daughter! B-but I want to be me!" The girl was swimming in circles as she blindly ran into the force field.

"I can't escape!"

"Alix! You're p-perfect! If you d-didn't think y-you were perfect j-just the w-way you a-are, I-I would s-still think that. E-Everyone in o-our class w-would too! Like Kim!" Marinette tried to make her feel better.

"K-Kim?" Alix stuttered before blushing wildly, which was strange for the four to watch. She never blushes.

Okay, Marinette thought, The Kim route seems to be a good strategy for Alix.

"Yes Kim! D-Do you w-want to see him?" Juleka cupped her hand around her mouth and yelled before shuddering.

"Y-Yeah..." She nodded in agreement. "H-How?"

"Just th-think about Kim! And you friends and family!" Chat encouraged. He was starting to struggle against holding himself and Marinette up as the numbness spread through out his body. Marinette, Chat, Juleka, and Nino's breathing became more shallow and staggered as they tried to talk.

Then, somehow, Alix broke through and saw them. She swam towards them in a hurry and held onto Juleka just as the world began to swirl away from them.

"What's happening?!" Alix screamed over the eardrum bursting wind.

"I-I think we are going to the real world!" Marinette answered before she was ripped from Chat's back.

"Chat!" She screamed and held a hand out for him.

"Mari!" He quickly grabbed her hand before interlocking their fingers. She felt his claws dig into her hand as Chat tightened his grasp, making sure she wouldn't fly away again.

Marinette quickly snatched Nino's hand before he could get away from her, holding onto him as much as she could. She refused to lose one of her best friends because she wasn't strong enough to hold onto him.

One by one everyone began to hold hands until it suddenly stopped. They weren't in water anymore, but on top of the Eiffel Tower.

"You were quicker than I thought." Sandman said quietly as he approached from the darkness of the shadow the tower made. "I applaud you. But that just brings your doom even sooner."

Chat got into a fighting stance as he pushed everyone behind him, keeping Marinette pressed up against his back. He extended his baton to the ground.

"Slide down! Now!" He ordered, keeping his eyes trained on Sandman. Their classmates quickly hurried down the make shift pole with Nino starting, Juleka going after him, and Alix after her.

Once on the ground, Nino extended a hand to help the girls land carefully, ushering them to a hiding spot before he came back for Marinette. He looked up at them, sorry clouding in his hazel eyes.

Marinette stayed in place, not wanting to leave Chat.

"Marinette you need to go!" Chat turned to face her, her dark blue hair was flying with the wind. Sandman took his moment of distraction as his chance and attacked.

"Chat! Look out!" Chat turned just in time to grab Marinette and hop to one of the bars on the tower, barely dodging his attack.

"Marinette go."

"No! I'm not leaving you!" She said in a tone that said 'This is final.'

Chat grabbed her again and set her on the top, where he had given her her necklace for her birthday.

"Stay here." Before she could respond, Chat dove down and landed on Sandman, giving him a full frontal assault.

The two boys wrestled, rolling around on the metal platform. Sandman flipped the two of them over and held Chat by the throat and threw him back down onto the platform. He kept his grip on Chat's neck, suffocating him as he hung Chat's head off the Eiffel Tower.

"Now, I'll have your Miraculous..."

Sandman began to reach for his ring when Chat noticed Marinette getting ready to leap off.

He frantically shook his head in worry and fear at her as she looked at them with a determined face.

Sandman noticed this and gave a small smirk, waiting for her to jump. As soon as she did, he met her half way and threw her on the ground. She landed on her mostly healed back, probably causing even more bruises.

Marinette let out a painful groan and Chat gasped for air as he tried to get up to protect and defend her from any oncoming attacks. He staggered as he got up, swaying with the wind. Sandman lifted Marinette off the ground but before he could do any harm to her, Chat's baton hit him square in the chest, sending him flying to a pillar on the tower. Marinette grabbed the only thing that could be akumatized on the villain, the only thing he was wearing that wasn't part of the suit. The black dog tag.

It broke as she held onto it, and an akuma fluttered out. Before any of them could catch it, the teenaged boy, a boy from another class in her school, who was just Sandman, shoved Marinette off the Eiffel Tower.

"Marinette!" Chat cried out in surprise. The three classmates that were in the dreams with them looked up in horror at the sight of seeing Marinette, the sweetest and kindest girl in Paris, and also one of Nino's best friends, dropping like a stone off the Eiffel Tower.

"Marinette!" The screams tore simultaneously from Nino's and Adrien's throats.

She was falling.

And falling.

And falling... As the akuma was fluttering away, higher into the sky.

Chat had a big decision to make.

Marinette, or the akuma?

His Princess... Or the world?
