Chapter Six
Don't Bury Me ~YouTube TheRealLadyBlog
The day had actually been going great. Marinette was with Alya, she had actually spoke a sentence to Adrien without stuttering, and the three of them and Nino were supposed to go to the movies after school. It seemed like those plans were going to change those.
During the final class, Chloe ended up getting akumatized, again, but this time being a different villain. She had been angry at Aurore who was bragging about how pretty her hair was and that Chloe's was gross, and then told her that Chloe would never get the guy she loved.
Needless to say, that didn't sit well with her.
And now, Marinette was currently the one stuck on Chloe's- er Madame Jealousy's (Seriously at this point, Hawkmoth isn't even trying) warpath.
Marinette cursed as Chloe's hair circled around her waist, squeezing tightly. The golden locks wound around her wrists and pulled them above her head.
Marinette let out an agitated yell as the scrape on her shoulder blade reopened, the blood starting to bleed through her white shirt. God, and this had been one of her favorites too!
"I've been waiting to do this for a very, very, long time Marinette." Chloe hissed into her ear.
"Hey Rapunzel! Let her go!"
"Chat Noir!"
The classroom had quickly emptied when Chloe became akumatized. Marinette wasn't fast enough to make her way through the crowd to a safe place to transform into Ladybug. Chloé was gonna hit Rose with one of her beams, and Marinette wasn't going to sit by and let that happen of course.
"It's Madame Jealousy, you stupid cat." Chloe's blue eyes were trained on Chat Noir as she slowly began to pull against Marinette's wrists.
"Chloe!" Marinette cried out, "Stop! It hurts!" She kicked against the hair, which felt gross by the way, but all of her strength was nothing without the Ladybug suit. At least, nothing compared to the strength of the hair. She could still deck on hell of a punch. Unfortunately, punching the hair would do nothing.
The pulling abruptly ceased as Chloe grinned wickedly.
"Oh I know. If I stop this, then you have to hate whoever you are in love with." Madame Jealousy moved her white sunglasses down so they rested on the bridge of her nose before placing her index finger against the side of it.
"What do you choose?"
When Marinette didn't answer she yanked her wrists up again, hard. Yeah, this day was turning out to be so great anymore.
Marinette screamed out in pain and Chat Noir leapt into action.
"Stop it!" He let out a warrior cry as he advanced on Madame Jealousy. He easily dodged a lock of hair that darted towards him, placing his baton on the ground before using it to leap over the gold strands.
The hair quickly turned and threw him against the wall. The wall cracked, making designs almost spider web like. He groaned as her hair held him in place.
His lime colored eyes narrowed on Madame Jealousy as she walked closer to him, bringing Marinette with her.
As she reached for his miraculous, Marinette whispered to Chat, knowing that with his sensitive ears he could hear her.
"Cataclysm..."
She whimpered as Madame Jealousy tightened her grip on her.
Chat yelled out cataclysm and before Madame Jealousy could react, he grabbed a fistful of the hair surrounding him. The hair began to darken into a black before deteriorating. The hair holding Marinette up crumbled away, letting her free fall and Chat dove under her to catch her and quickly picked her up bridal style.
"My hair!" Madame Jealousy screeched as she reached up to touch her nonexistent hair.
Chat Noir ran out of the room, jumping over the railing and racing Marinette to an empty classroom.
"Stay here." He ordered as he turned to leave. "I need to go finish her off."
Before Marinette could respond, Chat Noir had already left the classroom to get revenge on Madame Jealousy for hurting his Princess.
"Marinette! Are you okay?" Tikki flew out of her purse with a worried expression.
"I'm fine but that cat won't be if we can't cleanse that akuma. Tikki, transform me!" She yelled and the red spotted kwami got sucked into her black earrings.
When she was transformed into Ladybug she used her yoyo to bring her up to the classroom.
When she got there, Madame Jealousy was repeatedly pressing the button on her sunglasses as black darts chased Chat around the room.
"Chat Noir!" She swung her yoyo and broke all of the darts. He came to a stop next to her, hardly panting.
His miraculous beeped and they looked down at it. There were only three left.
"Milady, I am running out of time. And I don't think we don't want to let this cat out of the bag."
Ladybug felt herself smile a small smile as she thought back to the other day when he was telling stupid cat jokes and puns to her civilian form.
She shook her head quickly.
"No time for your jokes Chat. Where do you think the akuma is?"
"Glasses." He quipped as he gripped his staff tightly thinking about how she threatened to hurt Marinette with that.
Ladybug nodded and used her lucky charm. A small red and black mirror fell into her hands.
"Is this really the time to check yourself out? She's after Marinette, and I won't let her touch her." Ladybug rolled her eyes at his snark attitude before glancing around for other objects she could use.
She quickly thought of an idea, meanwhile her heart fluttering as he said that.
"Hey, Madame Jealousy." She called out to the villain. Chat looked at her incredulously but let her continue. "I can give you Marinette if you stop terrorizing the others."
"Ladybug no!" Chat slid into a defensive stance over by the exit. "I won't let you, even if you are Ladybug."
Madame Jealousy smiled wickedly, her teeth glinting in the light.
"So the cat has fallen in love with the commoner. That's even better then making her hate you. You hating her just might make her life a living hell. Just what she deserves."
"Why do you hate her so much?" He yelled, still standing in position at the door. His miraculous beeped once more, signaling he had two minutes left before her turned back into Adrien. "She's sweet, kind, beautiful, loving, puts others before her, and not to mention talented. Is it because she's everything you're not Chloe?"
Marinette's heart skipped a beat as she stared at the black cat in front of her.
He thinks I'm all of those? He thinks I'm beautiful?
Madame Jealousy let out a scream as she shot at Chat.
"Chat Noir!"
Marinette threw the mirror in between them as the mirror did it's job. It shattered from the impact but reflected the dart back to Madame Jealousy. The point stabbed into her chest and Chat leapt over to her and grabbed her glasses.
He tossed them to Ladybug and she snapped them in half, a little black and purple akuma fluttered out.
"Enough evil doing little akuma. It's time to de-evilize!"
She captured the akuma in her yoyo and let free a pretty white butterfly.
"Bye bye little butterfly. Miraculous Ladybug!" She threw the broken mirror in the air and it fixed all the damage and turned Chloe back to normal.
They bumped fists and Chat quickly ran out of the room. Before he could, she grabbed his wrist, stopping him.
"Wait, Chat Noir... You know I would never actually surrender a civilian, right?" Chat Noir looked down for a moment, disappointed in himself for allowing him to think that. He had just been so stuck in the moment, and Marinette had gotten hurt, he wasn't thinking straight.
"Yeah..." He looked up into her blue eyes. "I'm sorry." He gave her a sorrowfilled smile before running out of the classroom as his ring beeped the one minute warning.
Ladybug swung back over to the classroom Chat had previously put her in and detransformed.
The only thing running in her mind was what Madame Jealousy said to Chat.
Chat loves me?
I'm too lazy to write something. Until next time, peace!
