Red was in the Celadon Center when the others arrived. His whole team was crushed by Erika, so he was looking back over his plan. Lead with Butterfree's Sleep Powder then wipe them out with Wartortle's Ice Beam. Why was this so hard? Hearing Leaf's chuckle got him to glare at her.

"Is Erika stumping you?" Blue hissed from behind her.

"Just because you got the advantage doesn't mean you can taunt us!" Red nodded in agreement. This would be the first time he would. She fired back at the Oak Grandson.

"You did it to me at Misty! Be quiet!" Red huffed as he and Persian left the duo.

He managed to beat Erika, but at a cost.

"You're up to something. I know it. Who are you?" He didn't answer before leaving, now seeing a threat.

Blue was the last person to see the gym leader before Verde attacked. The duo heard the attack while Red left town, smiling at the success.

It was also revealed she hid the last thing they needed; The Tree of Rebirth. Verde managed to get some of the flowers from it before he left.
