The two didn't have time to explain since there was trouble outside the city. They quickly transformed and made their way to see what was going on. They see two giant cobras being ridden by two goddesses that weren't nice. Almost as if they are hunters or servants to Set. They blew their horns to order their rides to get the two heroes.

"Run faster!" Black Sphinx ran with Red Scarab.

"I can't! They are gaining on us!" Red Scarab ran alongside him with the two slithering after them. Black Sphinx carried her bridal style and narrowly avoided one of the giant snake's venom behind an obelisk.

"Shit! It's too dangerous!" Black Sphinx said and they got down into a maze while the snakes were distracted.

"How are we gonna fight them? They'll coil us to death" Red Scarab said.

"We'll improvise," Black Sphinx said.

"How?" Red Scarab asked.

"Try something with your lucky charm," Black Sphinx said.

"Watch out!" Red Scarab moves him with her from giant snakes spitting fire.

"What?! Fire?!" Black Sphinx saw the flames.

"We gotta lure it away from the city!" Red Scarab grabs his wrist to drag and run.

"Snakes sense our body heat! We need something colder than water!" Black Sphinx suggested.

"No, we gotta find its weak spot!" Red Scarab said.

"Like their underbellies? Or to hypnotize them?" Black Sphinx guessed.

Red Scarab observes them and so far it was like riding a horse. Instead, these goddesses are taming them quite well.

"Cats are superior to snakes. But that's just a myth. If we can get to the riders, perhaps we can burn themselves" Red Scarab said.

"I hope you know what to do," Black Sphinx said.

"The obelisk. Cataclysm it as soon as the snake gets closer to here" Red Scarab said.

"Got it, Bugaboo" Black Sphinx nodded.

"Hey! Over here!" Red Scarab lures the giant snakes.

"There she is! Time to burn the bug!" The goddesses urged their snakes to move.

"Come get me, you overgrown worms!" Red Scarab taunts them as she runs.

It got one of them pissed as it slithers towards her, unaware of the trap.

Black Sphinx waited until they were close enough, "A little more, milady. Almost......CATACLYSM!" He touched the obelisk.

Red Scarab moved aside in time as the obelisk collapsed on top of the giant cobras; crushing them to death but not the goddesses.

"Are you okay, Red Scarab?" Black Sphinx searched for her.

"I'm here, Kitty!" Red Scarab cried out.

"That's enough!" The goddess stands 10ft tall to kill these mortals.

"Lucky charm!" Red Scarab summons her charm, "A magic carpet?"

It moved around as it flew, making them get on without question.

"Whoa! Whoa! What is it doing?!" Black Sphinx held on.

"Taking us to a safer spot. Who knows what these two goddesses can do" Red Scarab said.

"They have to be hunters. Servants of an evil god like Set!" Black Sphinx said.

"We don't know how to kill them!" Red Scarab steadies her balance on the flying carpet.

Black Sphinx spots the snake's fangs the size of a spear, "Lasso the fang! We can use it like a dagger!"

"Okay" Red Scarab spins her yoyo and throws it at the giant cobra's right fang and with all her might she pulls it off.

"There we are. Now I get to shoot like a hunter" Black Sphinx said.

"Your turn, Kitty" Red Scarab said.

"Meow" Black Sphinx got closer and aimed it at the goddess' chest, "One down, one to go"

They see she's bleeding gold fluid, "She's bleeding gold!" Red Scarab said in shock.

"Grab me another fang!" Black Sphinx said while riding on the magic carpet with her.

As they flew, Red Scarab reached for the other fang.

Black Sphinx had to distract the other goddess since it was his lady's turn, "Yoohoo! I bet you can't hunt like a real big cat! I got nine lives and it will be so difficult for you to send me into the Afterlife!" He taunted her.

"Your nine lives will run out!" The goddess attacks him.

"I have unlimited lives! I always land on my feet!" Black Sphinx dodged every attack and jumped on the debris.

"Let's see if you can land on your head instead!" The goddess shot arrows at him.

"WHOA!" Black Sphinx jumps back.

"Hang on, Kitty!" Red Scarab rushes to him.

"Stand still you pathetic beast of a mortal!" The goddess raged.

"Not a chance!" Black Sphinx laughed.

"Kitty! Catch!" Red Scarab threw the tooth.

Black Sphinx caught it and lunged at the goddess to stab her, "Tell Anubis I said hi!" He smirked and the goddess collapsed on the ground.

"Pound it!" They fist-bumped.

Set was telling the pharaoh that the hunters had failed and there was nothing to stop those teenage heroes. They are as strong as ever.

"They are tougher than I thought," The Pharaoh said.

"You are gonna have to hire someone very deceitful and cunning. Everyone's eyes lie and become fooled" Set said evilly.

"I believe I know someone who does," The Pharaoh said with a malicious smirk.

In Italy, one girl was inside the emperor's palace in Rome. She was cunning and intelligent, but also a manipulative liar to find her way to gain on top than anyone else. Especially framing innocent people who committed a crime (which they never did), they get sentenced to death without evidence or proof. She even convinced the emperor to gain a position in his ranks. Too gullible that he's not aware of her manipulation.

"Ave!" She salutes as she comes in.

"What brings you here?" The emperor asked.

"Ah, nothing your highness. I'm just in need of a ship to Egypt. The pharaoh there has requested me to suggest a trade" The girl lied.

"Very well. I expect lots of gold when you return. If not! You'll be no use to me!" The emperor said.

"You got it," The girl said.

"And Cerise, take some men with you" The Emperor spoke her name.

"I can handle it. It would be a shame if the Pharaoh thinks I came with an army. A woman always shows beauty" Cerise made a lie.

"Fine. Now get out!" The emperor shouted.

Cerise left the throne room, taking out a secret message from the pharaoh.

In Egypt, the heroes had a lot of explaining on top of the palace. Red Scarab was beyond angry he lied to her that he was royalty the entire time.

"It was a white lie! I swear! I did not technically make a compulsive lie" Black Sphinx getting nervous by her anger.

"So it was true the prince was alike, Black Sphinx, and he was him the whole time! I sided with a royal!" Red Scarab ranted.

"Come on! I saved your life a few times before! When are you ever gonna stop believing royalties as monsters?!" Black Sphinx complained.

"Oh, let's see! You do nothing but let your cruel father do whatever he wants! Killing firstborns, taking children away from parents, our homes, our families, our lives, and our freedom! Does it ever bother you that everyone never had great lives because of you and him?!" Red Scarab glared intensely.

But now Black Sphinx was fed up being accused by her, "Okay, that's enough! We both know my father is behind this chaos! Do you really think I can face him, kick his ass to get his attention and tell him to stop? You don't know what he's like, bug. I tried so many times to face him but he doesn't care at all. He stopped seeing me as his son" Black Sphinx explained why he can't face his father, "You can't just blame me for everything! I'm nothing like him!"

Red Scarab was silent after his rant, "Then why are you letting him do this if you hate what he does? There's always a choice in life, royal brat-ness" Red Scarab said.

"Because he threatens me! Happy now?!" Black Sphinx clenched his fists.

"No, just disappointed. Even if we are chosen by the gods, another god as evil chooses your father to twist up his madness. When that happens, nothing can change his mind or heart. Not even his awareness of knowing if he endangers your life" Red Scarab said.

"Yes. But if we're to be a good duo you don't need to resent me for being royal" Black Sphinx said.

"I resented long enough to hope you don't do the same like he did as the rest of your ancestors" Red Scarab glared at him.

"I'm not. And you've seen I'm not like him. Sometimes I wished I had never been royal. By the way, stop glaring!" Black Sphinx said.

"Why not? You made a dumb lie from the beginning we met" Red Scarab said.

"A white lie" Black Sphinx corrected her, "Plus, I knew you would explode in anger if you found out" He pointed out.

"I hate liars," Red Scarab said.

"If you gave into your hatred, you'd kill me now" Black Sphinx replied.

"I don't kill. I'm no better than he is" Red Scarab said.

"Then you better put aside your hatred if we're to be a team. And I'm sorry for lying to you" Black Sphinx said.

"Then start apologizing for letting your father ruin everyone's lives, fleabag" Red Scarab glared at him for an apology, "Go on....apologize" She smirked at him for his punishment.

"I'm sorry for letting him get away with his harsh ways of ruining everyone's life, even your parents" He then apologizes to her.

"And?" Red Scarab wants to hear more.

"And I should've been more strict than hesitant at his demands. I'm sorry I let this happen" Black Sphinx said.

"Better, apology accepted," Red Scarab said.
