I woke to a buzz, vibrating my head, and the Star Wars theme song. I look at the clock, 5:48pm. I look at who is calling me; the Hospital.

TIME SKIP

202. Number 202 I don't think I will ever be forgetting. It's been implanted in my brain like a code in a computer. I sigh and walk back to that room, for the hundredth time so far.

A different nurse was standing outside the door this time. His cap was covering his black hair, and he wore thick brown dance-shoes. His eyes were a piercing blue, but darker than Thalia's.

"Visitor?" he asks.

"Yes," I sniff, cold and tired.

"Nico di Angelo?"

"Yes."

"Come in. He's sleeping right now."

He holds the door open for me, and I enter without giving the man a second glance. I walk to the chair I had sat in hours before, and pull it to Leo's right beside, like before.

The nurse closes the door, giving us some privacy. I lean in, my elbow's on his bed, and brush his hair with my fingers. He looks better than before. He no longer has tubes running through and out of him, and his sick shoulder has been relieved of the hot bandages and put into a white cast.

"You're beautiful, angel." I whisper.

I stare at him for a little while, until I'm choking back sobs.

"Don't hurt anymore, 'kay, baby?" I plead, though I know he can't hear me.

He looks so peaceful while he's sleeping. Why can't the world sleep?

I look at my wrist. If you're thinking I cut, like most people who think I'm emo enough to, then you'd be wrong. That's petty, needy, and completely useless. Nothing good comes from taking the easy way out. I'd be too ashamed to ever try.

I look at my wrist, wishing I still had my bracelet. I don't know why such a longing thought occurred in this duration, here with Leo, now, but it did.

"Ugh." Leo shifts in discomfort.

"Hey, don't move." I urge, placing my hand gently on his chest.

"Mm, Nico." he mutters.

"Yeah, I'm here." I assure.

He nods, not saying more. He sips in a few deep breaths, then opens his eyes.

He stares up at the ceiling, then looks sharply at me. He didn't look too well as I thought he'd did.

"Nico, you're-" he stopped talking and just kept his gaze on me.

I furrowed my eyebrows when I felt a trickle down my cheek. I wiped my cheek with my sleeve, looking down. Why does Leo have to see this?

"It's okay." he assures. Why is he comforting me?

"I know." I nod, and look up with watery eyes. Sometimes I can't help but shatter in the arms of the ones I love.

"This is going to end up in fire." I say.

Leo furrows his eyebrows, not knowing what I mean, but I don't reply and look down.

"You're beautiful, angel, but I'm not. We'll end up in flames." I whisper, looking at the bed edge.

"Nico, no." he manages.

"I'm sorry, Leo. Love just isn't ever going to work in my life," I shift myself in my chair, and fix my shirt, then look back up at him. "Now get some rest."

I reach my hand out to his face. I look in his eyes, and I see pain.

"Close those eyes, Leo."

He closes his eyes, and drifts quickly to sleep. I nod, Good. I wipe my eyes again before I start crying, but that only releases the tears.

I stand and replace the chair, and walk to the door. I open it, and exit.

"How long does he have left in the hospital?" I ask the nurse.

"You'll have to ask the front desk." he replies. I glare at him, he must be new.

I head in the given direction.

A/N Sorry if this was boring. My original plans were to let Leo out of the hospital with...stuff, BUT I added this chapter just to.
This also means the amount of chapters in Book 1 (this book) has been extended. Ya welksome (welcome)!!
Next chapter is going to be much better. Enjoy!
PS Do you guys like that there are songs in the chapters? I've been writing a few for this book (I write songs a lot) but if you guys don't like them too much I won't incorporate as many as planned.
