I run and quickly glance behind me to see if she is still chasing me. I duck behind the red rose bush. I see her coming towards me and she starts to laugh. I look at her with a bitter look and she starts laughing even harder and she says threw her laughs " I told you I would find you" and she sits next to me in the green grass. We lay down and stare into the sky. Well you must be confused, my names Sofia and the crazy person that was chasing me is my best friend scarlet she is one of the maids that is forced to work in the palace she used to live with her parents in the village but her parents sold her to work for us. We get up and We go to my room so I can change for dinner. I get into a red tight gown that was detailed with lace on the arms and back.

One of the maids comes up and tells me dinner is done. I walk down into the dining area the is filled with a beautiful chandaler and a large table that fits around 45 people we sit at the top with my dad on the top and my mom on the opposite side of me. We sit down and the bring out a roasted duck with mashed potato's and corn with wine for my parents and water for me. My father clears his throat and I look at him and my mom and my mom looks down and I stare at him with a confused look. He starts talking in a bold voice that makes me shudder he says "In a week you will be getting married to Lord farquaad in a land far far away and you will be saved shrek". Haha ok no I'm kidding he actually said "In three days you will be marrying king Hudson of castle rock". "I'm not marrying anyone it's my choice!" I say anger laced in my voice. My so called father stands up and backhands me and yells "You will get married to him with no complaints and never disrespect me again" he picks up my plate throws it at me and tells one of the guards to take me to the dungeons two buff men grab my arms and walk me to the dungeons and put me in a cell and lock it then leave. I sit there in silence thinking about the old man that I will have to marry. I soon fall asleep.

In her dream-Flashback
I run threw the halls to my room with him shortly behind me I hear him yelling at me to get back here and it won't hurt. I feel the tears fly off my face and I run into my room and shut the door and lock it. He yells "If you don't open the door then I'll break it down". I run into the closet and hide behind my clothes. Maybe someone will save me this time. I hear the door being slammed open and he says in a dark voice "Sofia don't be bad I just want to have some fun come out and talk to your dear father. Oh were could you be hmm maybe under the bed and he yanks the covers from under my bed up "hmm no maybe in the closet" he slowly walks towards the closet. I feel fear rushing threw my vains. He opens the door and yanks me out of the closet and throws me in on the bed.

I feel shaking and my eyes jolt open and I see a figure shaking me and my eyes get used to the darkness and I wrap my arms around scarlet. We sit there as scarlet try's to soothe me rubbing little circles in my back as I tremble and cry telling her about that night and the many others when I looked at her she looked surprised which quickly turned into anger. She asked me if I would be ok and I'd told her yes and to go back to bed. She snuck back to the beds. I didn't go back to sleep I sat on the cold hard floor for hours until the sun came up and I sat there dying of boredom finally a guard unlocked the cell and let me go to my room to change a maid told me king Hudson and his two kids are coming to have lunch and stay over for the wedding. I changed into a navy blue dress that reaches down to the floor and shows my open back.

I went downstairs and waited for them to come and after I met them I was supposed to have tea with his daughter she is fifthteen years old so she is two years younger then me . My mother came out of nowhere and told me to act polite and without any talking back or rude comments. Once they got the I met king Hudson and he seemed like a nice very old man he was sick and look like he could die any moment I met his daughter who had beautiful black hair with a tan complexion and blue eyes she wore a beautiful blue gown with white lace on the bottoms and white lace covered her arms she was beautiful. We went to the garden and sat down and introduced ourselves and talked she was so kind but she talked very fast and on her arms I could see blue and purple bruises. I asked her "were did you get those bruises and she replied from her dog but she seemed nervous when she said that. She told me that she has her twin brother and there mom died a couple of years ago. We talked for many hours until we got sent to bed.

Heyyy, so this is the first chapter of the book and I kind of didn't know how to start but I thought I could add a joke about lord farquaad from shrek if you don't know him you should definitely look him up but this chapter was really dry so I'm gonna really try to make it more juicer next chapter also next chapter is her wedding but I hoped everyone liked this chapter release comment your opinions and vote.
