LATER THAT NIGHT, JUSTIN AND NOELLE WALKED INTO THE DELTA LAMBDAS MARTINI MIXER WITH TONI AT THEIR SIDE. Noelle was annoyed that she was there and not in her bed.
"Jesus, lighten up," Toni told her.
"No, I hate these sorority bitches," Noelle replied.
"Why? Cuz they're flirting with your 'good looking hot blonde' boyfriend? Everyone does, aren't you used to it?"
"I don't have to be, my solution is to hate everyone."
Justin shrugged. "At least she isn't fake."
"Speaking of, fake," Toni mumbled as Sister Lois and Sister Murphy walked over.
"I thought I saw you, handsome, hi," Sister Lois said with a big grin, hugging Justin who tensed up.
"Hi," Noelle said sharply, pulling Justin back to her side.
"Hi!" Sister Murphy said excitedly. "No, I really, mean that, hi, Justin."
"Hi," he said softly.
"You look so good tonight, that jacket just looks hot on you."
"Right," Noelle said, her tone with fake enthusiasm. "The jacket's so hot...you know, he makes me sometimes wear it when we fuck cuz he thinks I look good in it too." Toni coughed on the finger food she was eating as Justin's eyes widened. "Sometimes for hours on end too..." She smirked, looking at the girls who kept the same expression but a bit annoyed and grossed out. "Drinks are in the backyard, right?"
"Um, yeah," Sister Lois answered.
"Cool, we'll go get some," Noelle replied with a grin, walking out with Justin and Toni.
"Jesus, I have no words," Toni said.
"You're telling me," Justin mumbled. "What was that?"
"Just letting the girls know you belong to."
"'Belong to'? What am I, your property?"
"Yes."
"Okay," he agreed.
"Yup, I'm traumatized," Toni replied. "Amused but traumatized."
"I think you've heard me say worse," Noelle replied as Randy walked up, holding a tray full of cocktails.
"Cocktail?" Randy asked the group.
"Hell yeah," Noelle said, grabbing one as did Toni. "You didn't poison it, did you, Meeks?"
He gave her a look. "You're the last person I'd poison."
"But I'd still be poisoned."
He shrugged. "Only if you got on my nerves."
"Hey, that's my duty as your friend."
Mickey laughed, walking by as he heard her. "You said 'duty'."
Justin smiled. "Only you would laugh about that."
"I would cuz it's funny and you know it."
"You're a child."
"No, just a man with a good sense of humor," Mickey replied, standing next to Justin. "Wanna dance, babe?"
He hummed. "Tempted."
He looked at Noelle. "Elle, you mind if I steal your boyfriend for five minutes?" Noelle looked at him. "Or fifteen?"
"Yes, I do mind cuz he's mine," she replied, grabbing Justin's hand and pulling him next to her.
"But he likes me more."
"Don't push it, Mick," Justin replied with a smile.
Sister Murphy and Sister Lois rushed outside. "Hey, guys. Something is up at Omega Beta Zeta. Police are everywhere."
As many people rushed out of the party to follow the sirens, Justin immediately met the gaze of Sidney through the crowd of people, both thinking the possible same thing as they followed the large crowd lastly out of the house.
He let out a sigh as Noelle stood next to him.
"I hope it isn't what I think it is," Justin mumbled.
She sighed. "I think it's happening again. I know you don't wanna hear that but I think it is."
He ran a hand through his hair, trying to calm himself.
"Come on, get your jacket, let's get you home," Derek told Sidney.
He looked at Sidney. "I'll go with you," he told his sister.
"It's okay, I'm okay," she told him.
"No, I'll walk home with you..." He looked at Derek. "I don't trust anyone that's not Woodsboro blood."
"What's that supposed to mean?" Derek asked him.
"More kind way to say I don't trust you." He looked at Noelle as he felt in his jacket pockets. "I left my pager inside, wait out here."
"With him?" Noelle said, nodding to Derek.
"There are people on the street, just stay over there."
He walked back into the house after Sidney, looking around for his pager that must've fallen out of his pockets.
"Why don't you trust Derek?" Sidney called from the other room.
He stopped for a moment. "You're seriously asking me that? You remember two years ago, right?"
"Of course I do, I just..." she sighed. "Never mind."
"What?"
"I think it's nice you're protective but you can't shelter me forever. We're not little kids anymore."
He sighed, ignoring the landline that was ringing. "Sid, it's not even that. I don't want a repeat of what happened before. Okay? With all that's going on now, it probably will. And I don't want you or me to die this time." He found his pager outside on the floor but noticed he didn't get a response. "Sid?"
He ran back inside hearing a scream and Sidney being chased by a familiar masked figure. As Ghostface ran after Sidney, Justin ran after him before shoving him roughly, making the masked killer fall onto a recliner chair, knocking it over with it.
"Come on!" He called to his sister, grabbing her hand as they ran for the kitchen door.
They barely got outside, turning the corner when they ran into Derek.
"You okay?" He asked them.
Sidney nodded. "Yeah," She whimpered.
Derek rushed into the house, making Justin call out, "Derek, don't! He's got a knife! Don't be an idiot!" Derek already disappeared inside. "Fuck!"
They turned to see Dewey rushing over, calling out their names.
"The killers in there. And Derek," Sidney panted.
There was a crash and yell inside, Dewey walked into the kitchen to see Derek on the floor and his arm, bleeding but as Dewey went to look for the killer, he came back, attending to Derek's wound, making it clear the killer got away.
Justin sighed, looking at Sidney who stared at Derek with watery eyes.
Noelle came rushing over. "I heard screaming, what happened?" she asked to which Justin nodded to Derek and Dewey. "Jesus."
"It's happening again," was all he said.
