Reds POV

I'm scared. So scared.

Where's John?

I was running, I don't know what from though, I'm so scared of it though, the fear making my heart rush Adrenalin into my body so I can countinue to run, but it's hard. I'm bleeding, I'm hurt. I'm cold.

I'm alone.

I woke up gasping as I looked around the room holding my chest in fright.

"Red....mhmm, what's wrong?" John asked sleepily as he sat up without a shirt, though he did have boxers on.

I looked at him confused on why we were clean and I was in clothes again, was that all a dream too. I blushed. "Was....last night a dream?" I asked.

He chuckled. "No, just something close, a dream come true." He says kissing where my neck met my shoulder as he brought me to his chest. "But what made you jump up like that?" He asked.

I blinked away some tears. "A nightmare is all." I say giving him a smile. I shifted, but winced a bit as the pain came to me then.

"Sorry...I was a little bit rougher then I wanted to be." He says as he lifts my shirt to show a hand sized bruise.

But that's not what hurts. I didn't mind that. "My back hurts. And it's fine, though I do have a question.... Why did you bite me?" I asked leaning into him, relaxing my body.

"Mating ritual, it helps us connect better. For the better." He says laying us back down

"Oh," I said yawning. "Thats good?" I asked getting sleepier with each passing second.

John chuckled. "Yes, it's good, now go back to sleep we need it."

I smiled. "Okay." I said falling back to sleep easily, with the protection of John's arms.

I was in the small library office of John's reading one of the many books he had as he did some paperwork. I was sitting in his lap which was nice. Nice in him to kiss me every few minutes on the neck out of the blue and without a thought.

I was enjoying the peace, it was what we needed after my countinued nightmares the past couple months. They were getting worse. And sadly it was effecting my sleep and eating schedule. As I've eaten less, and slept less. I've lost a couple pounds cause of that.

That's why he's been spoiling me with all his love. But, it still isn't enough. So then he's schedules more play dates for me and Goldie. But again, that's not enough. I can bake whenever and what ever I want, I can leave to amazing places....but the nightmares still wouldn't go away.

Doctors have checked me over and over, from the best to the strangest. Therapists couldn't figure anything out.

It made us all as stressed out as cane be.

But right now we're enjoying the limbo of peace, of paperwork and reading.

The book I was reading was about John's kind, werewolves.

They couldn't really shift, well they could when they're mate is in danger, or if they get so mad, stressed or frustrated. But otherwise, they just go throw a week every month where they're in pain unless they have a mate, which makes the week easier as they dull it. The rare male Omega werewolf could bare babies which I found pretty cool.

I flipped to the next chapter, stopping when I read the chapters short summary, telling me it's about what happens after the mating bond goes into place, with all beings.

I focused in on it and found it so interesting, I practically read every sentence like I was eating my favorite sweet.

Faerie's

Once the mating bond has been put on that of a being of Fae race, they become mortal so that they can live with them to the end. Though you can't put a mating mark on them forcefully unless they let you. Though, when a faerie does this to a werewolf, the werewolf will become immortal, but only if the werewolf is an Omega.

Side effects: The mating bite will hurt instead of the usual pleasure, each races effects are different!

Elves

Elves do not mix with other races, it is extremely rare if they do. But meeting one is rarer. Maybe that is why some Mateless werewolves die Mateless, never finding their Elf?

Anyway, when bitten, it's said it's ten times as more pleasure. The elf will give it's partial immortality gene to the partner.

Side effects: Bottom, or the one bitten to get the mark, will be asleep for as long as they need to be.

Vampire's

Vampire's are said to be our enemies when really they're our best friends as long as they don't go on a blood frenzy from being starved, which usually happens when they're captured by hunters who abuse them relentlessly, this is why, we adore the moon goddess for not putting any of us with a Hunter, if one of our kind so happens to be mated to one...may we all have faith they're good to them.

When mating with a vampire, it's difficult to actually connect the heart do to their heart having stopped beating for however old they are. That is why, when you bite them, it doesn't matter where, you must do it while both of you climax at the same time, as your closest to heaven or your soul thinks so, or what ever, it brings the soul forward so, when you do it right, the bond is set firmly within the base of their very selves.

Side effects: You will become immortal, the werewolf of the relationship, as your souls have been bonded and theirs has stopped aging, that is why it's dangerous to make a child vampire, they may go out of control, and it more likely the younger they are. Anyway, your soul to stops aging, so do try to wait till your 21 or mature enough.

Human's

Human's are very fragile, so when in mating you must put the bite on their shoulder but close to the neck, this insures it's the closest to the heart, this makes the bond stronger and makes sure they don't get ill. Plus, the heart is their strong point, and where their soul rests. Cause that were they put it. That's where they protect it, and they protect their heart with their mind. With their actions, with their personalities. It's different for each human. And sadly, they have to many Side Effects.

Side Effects:

One: They could possibly get male humans pregnant or ready for the next time you do have intercourse, especially for Alpha's in the rare packs around the world. Though it's still very rare for males to do so these days.

Two: They can share the pain of the werewolf counter part. If your in pain, they're in pain. If they're in pain, your in pain. Simple.

Three: This can be an effect or just a perk. You can possibly tell where your lost or taken mate is, if they're human, if you concentrate on them while in meditation, or you have a very strong bond.

Four: If you the werewolf dies. They die. If the human dies. You'll be in the greatest pain of your life or never be the same. As you...will not die, sadly I have had this happened to me, and that is why I've written this book, so many young werewolves are left without a teacher or parent to tell them these things.

Also, some human mates can tell when danger is near with dreams, or nightmares in this case, so listen to those and keep them safe.

Finally, Five: Whatever you do. Never let another werewolf have his way sexually with your human mate. The bond grows weaker as the heart, and soul hides, as if they love you, they will be in pain with every sexual touch another does.

I'll say this again, Human mates are fragile, weak and the easiest to be used by those trying to get to the werewolf mate.

But Human mates, are the happiest, have interesting veiws of the world, have so many different answers even if there's a simple one. They're amazing, and strong willed. And the best mate, I think anyway, anyone can have.

I blinked at all the new information, I closed the book on my finger holding the page I was on to see the name of the author, to see something amazing. Red John Baker.

My grandfather.

Does that mean I'm part werewolf though? Or not?

But I back tracked to the part about the nightmares and showed John.

"That's...better then having no information on what aleing you." He says looking even more frustrated.

"I'm sorry...." I whisper snuggling into him tired.

He chuckles kissing my forehead. "Don't be, it's not your fault....I just have to make sure no one or anything gets to you. I'd never let anyone get go you my lovely mate." He says putting the book down to wrap his large, warm, protective arms around me.

I hope so.

The dreams, I don't like them. 'Especially if you die John.' I thought, hoping with all my little heart.

I love him too much, even if he were to die and I wasn't, even if the book says otherwise, I knew I'd die of heartbreak.

Anyone who has a person as their whole world would.

Good chapter for today?

Okay, I have a bit of a confession...I had a writing spurt, a big one. This is the 4 chapter I've done in a day, for this particular book.

Now after playing multiple Uno games with my family and writing about 8,000 words today. I'm going to sleep. It's also like 11:21 right now, and that's early for me, I think I'm still sick from the Flu....
