Weekend is boring. I stared at those crazy couples dancing their ass off, shaking their body and grinding it to eachother. It made me feel puke. I shook my head and checked my phone. It was the last weekend of the month.

"Nandini?" I turned my head and saw my friend Monica walking towards me, swaying her hips, half dancing and in half walking style. She grinned once she was standing infront of me, "girl, everyone is enjoying out there, what are you doing here all alone?"

"I'm not interested" I replied and drank my drink.

"Oh come on, it's a Friday night. You should enjoy this time. Look at the people on the floor, they are dying with enjoyment" she pointed towards the crowded dance floor.

"Still not interested"

"You are so boring Nandini" Monica rolled her eyes. She turned around and ordered for a drink. "Nandini you can't keep yourself away like this. I mean all the time, you need to chill a little"

"What do you mean?" I looked at her.

"How about I introduce you to some hot guys I know?" She grinned, "all you need is a good sex and spice up your life"

"You think sex is the ultimate solution of everything?" I shook my head, "physical relation is not what I wanted. No men — red cross from my side"

"Uh....." Monica groaned, "are you trying to kill yourself being the virgin? As I said girl, you are a mood killer. I am tired of seeing you wasting your beauty and youth like this. Most of the guys in the office are dashing but you never looked at them why?"

I laughed, "maybe for me they are  not eye-catching enough"

"Really? Then what kind of man you want?"

"Your drink beautiful" the bartender pushed the drink towards Monica. Monica who winked at him replying thanks. I rolled my eyes at her gesture. She is always the flirty one.

"I want something dangerous" I replied, "something born with dark eyes, have that attractive boyish look that will hook my eyes on him and increase my heart beat"

Monica almost puked her drink out, "what kind of description was that? Girl you can only find such figures in a vampire nove characters. Like those in the Twilight Saga. Don't tell me you are secretly reading those vampire fantasies and fell for those cold blooded guys?" She joked.

I gave her a secret smile, "maybe" . When she threw a weird look at me I just shrugged my shoulder in response.

"Are you serious? Hey I was just kidding. Besides we both know those vampire could only exist in books. Reality is far from the fantasies" she narrowed her eyes at me.

I was about to reply when few guys walked towards us. One of them looked handsome with his brown eyes and brown hair. Monica shot a look at him then smirked. Wow, there's goes her again. I rolled my eyes inwardly and focused on my drink again.

"Hey beautiful ladies, what are you doing alone? Shall we join you and keep you a little company?" The brown haired guy spoke.

"Hi Vicky, I was not expecting you to be here" Monica jumped on him. Vicky was actually Monica's boyfriend. He works at the same office as us. They started dating two months ago.

"I can't resist anymore " Vicky laughed, "come on baby, I have something special for you".

"Will you be okay?" Monica asked turning her attention towards me.

"It's fine go ahead" I nodded. Vicky and Monica left happily and I gulped down my last drop of drink.

"Hey beautiful, I have seen you many times. I guess you are single " one of the guy who came with Vicky sat down beside me. Others left not he stayed behind.

"I am Karan and you can call me K in short too" he introduced himself.

"What do you want from me?" I asked him directly.

"I have seen many woman but you seem to be different from them. You don't even hang around with other guys"

"I am not interested in going out with some random guys"

"Cool. I liked your style" he nodded "since you are single and I am also clean how about we —"

"No" I told him even before he could finish his sentence.

"What? Why not?" Karan looked surprised. "I mean I am sorry but it's a normal thing and I kind of like you"

"It's not possible. Find another girl"

"Come on, others girl would have jumped on me if I said so. Why are you refusing like that?" He smiled.

I turned to look at him, "I am not other girls. You should find the one who is willing to jump on you as you said. Don't waste your time with someone like me" I almost snapped at him.

"Woah cool down. I didn't meant that. Are you trying to play hard to get?" He chuckled at the end. Does he think it's funny?

"I have no free time to play with you. Stop bothering me" I got up from the stool. I glared at him, "I am not interested in playing a cheap game to get a man's attention, because I don't date random guy specially those who is ready to shove their dicks in every free pussy they gets"

His eyes went wide and I left him there. I hate this kind of guy who couldn't understand some simple words. They thinks it's easy to control woman the way they wants. Monica won't be at sight anymore since she left with Vicky. It means another wild night for her.

Next day I was on a off duty so I went to my favourite book store. I stroll around the shelves looking for any new items. I have read most of the them shown in the shelves so I wanted to find a new one to read. A green coloured book fell from the shelves and I bent down to pick it up. As I hold the book I felt someone was watching me. I looked around to find the source but couldn't see anyone other than the few people choosing their books.  This book shop has less people compared to other shops because the books are costly in here. I like reading so I spend most of my money in buying books. Suddenly I felt my heartbeat become faster and a kind of feeling rushed in my body which I couldn't explain in words. 

"What's happening?" I mumbled to myself. Shaking my head lightly I decided to leave the store. I have choosen few books randomly. Just then Monica called me.

"Hey where are you?"

"In a book store" I replied as I walked towards the cash counter. I smiled at the old lady and gave the book to her so that she can make bill.

"Will you be free? Let's have lunch together today" she said.

"Great" I replied.

"I will be waiting for you in the coffee house near the office building then. Come fast"

"Oh okay—" my words stopped abruptly when I felt someone brushed pass behind me. I felt weird and a shiver ran down on my back. Without knowing what I am doing I turned my body towards the door. A male figure walked out of the door and I could only take a small glimpse of his back. He was tall, mascular. There was a kind of attraction that I could feel but I can't explain at all.

"Hello— Nandini? What happened? Are you there?" Monica's voice brought me out of the thought. I turned to see the lady giving me weird look. She was holding the bill.

"I will be there in 10 minutes" I cut the call and paid the bill before rushing out of the store. I looked around the street but couldn't find the figure anymore. It's like he vanished in the thin air.

Was that my illusion or it really happened? And that thought stirred my heart in unsettling mood.
