The beautiful morning sun rises over the bloody battlefield. A woman stands in the middle, the dead bodies of her enemies around her. The wind blew across the field the woman turned to see her fellow guardians behind her. By the looks of it, their job was done. She walked back to her friends, her family, her new life as a guardian. It has been two years since her first days of being a guardian.

It was a cold autumn day, she was doing work in the local market. Making sure that everything and everyone was doing fine. She had been this town's guard since she was old enough to hold a sword. Her parents came to this town seventeen years before she was born. They named her Scarlett because of her beautiful red eyes. They knew from the stories that their baby girl was born to be a guardian. Guardians are mostly known to help and serve the town they live in. She was told many times when she gets older she will do great things for their home. 

That she would keep them safe. She'll be their protector. So at thirteen, a young Scarlett picked up her first sword. Fighting quickly became natural to her. Every time someone tried to do wrong to her town and it's people. She'd put them in their place. On her seventeenth birthday, the whole town held a big party for her. There was a big feast, games, and music. Everyone was celebrating her birthday. As they called her the stage and had her sit in a flashy chair. "For all the work you've done for us. We hope you accept our gift to you" the Mayor had said.

He handed her the gift. When she opened it, and it was another sword. This one was shorter than the one she uses now and thicker too. Scarlett was more than happy to accept the gift as well as help her people. She'd designed to name it Purifier so it goes along with her first sword named Kindness. After opening the rest of her gifts everyone went back to whatever they were doing. The next week it was like any other day when two strangers walked into their small town. It wasn't weird to have people visit the town but these two new people walked around the town with such a strong aura around them it put everyone on edge. 

The town's people started talking about them so it did not take long for Scarlett to hear about it. She ran straight to where someone told her they were. When she got there it seemed that they were waiting for her. With her now two swords she walked up to them. The shorter of the two spoke first. "Are you the guardian of this town?".  Scarlett knew she that she couldn't back down. She had to protect her town, "Yes, I am. Who is asking?". The strangers looked at each other then moved their cloaks from their faces. 

"We do as part of the Red Guardians" a woman with midnight black hair said. With her was a man with dark brown hair. They both looked down at Scarlett with deep red eyes just like her own. The whole town was now watching this all happen. "You Scarlett Miller are hereby now a Red Guardian, and this town is under the protection of the Guardians". Scarlett starred at them shocked but she was not the only one. The whole town was just as shocked. Two sets of laughter cut through the silence. 

"Well, Scarlett what do you say, do you accept?" The walked closer to her and held out his hand. She stared at it then she jumped. This was her chance to be a guardian. "Yes, yes I do" She said shaking his hand. The quiet town's people then shouted and cheered. Everyone congratulated her and said that they were proud of her. She looked at her home and the people that live there.

She was a Guardian now.
