A couple of days later, Arthur came back home and told (y/n) what had happened during his stay at Beecher's Hope. She was terrified when Arthur told her about the Skinner Brothers but Arthur assured her that they were dead as he did stay an extra day to make sure they wouldn't come back and to make sure that Uncle was okay.

Days had past and Arthur was back to working with Oliver. (Y/n) was doing all the ranch chores while the kids were taken to a school that was just built over at Strawberry, since their home was built just outside of the town.

Eventually, Arthur took his family over to John's house and they pulled up where Arthur was surprised to see Abigail and Jack there, with a dog. Abigail, John, Uncle and Charles were sitting in some chairs on the porch when they stood up and saw Arthur and the others come up.

"Arthur?! (Y/n)?!" Abigail exclaimed as she stands up and Arthur parked the wagon in front of their house. They dismount the wagon and Abigail runs to them. "Oh my God!" Abigail cried and her and (y/n) embrace. 

"How you doing, Abigail?" (Y/n) asked as they hug. "Great...just great." She said as they pull out of the hug then she looks over at Arthur. "Arthur!" He cries and they embrace. "Hey, Abigail. Surprised to see you here." Arthur said. "Yeah...Jack and I got back a few days ago. John...well, he has a way with words." She replied as she pulls away from their embrace and looks over at John, smiling.

Then Annebeth walks up and Abigail's jaw drops. "Oh my goodness, is that Annebeth?" She asked and Annebeth smiles. "Hey, Aunt Abigail!" Annebeth said and they hug and Jack started to run over.

"Annie?!" He said and Annebeth looks over at him, smiles and blushes. "Hey, Jack." Annebeth said as she pulls out of the hug and goes over to Jack and they hug, Jack's face had gone red. Abigail then looks over and sees the three little kids, Alastair was holding the bassinet that Michael was residing in and he brought it over to (y/n). 

"Awww...." Abigail said as (y/n) takes Michael in her arms. "This is Michael." (Y/n) said as she holds up the baby. "He's so cute. Looks like you, Arthur." Abigail said and Arthur rolls his eyes and laughs. "And this is Alastair and Eleanor." (Y/n) said as she points out the kids. "They are all so precious. Come in, come in." Abigail said and they all head inside the house, which now had furniture.

"Wow, you got some furniture." Arthur said. "Yeah, Geddes sent these to us." John said and Abigail goes to make some food.

Later, the adults were sitting around the table, drinking and eating while the kids were outside, playing with the Jack's dog Rufus. "It's still so good to see you guys. I thought you guys were dead." Abigail said. "We thought the same." (Y/n) said. "But we are glad you are okay." Arthur said and Abigail nods.

"Do you know what's happened to the others?" (Y/n) asked them, concerned. "I saw Tilly in Saint Denis the other day. She's married and pregnant. Then she sent me a letter to give an update on her and said she hasn't heard from Karen. Said something about she thinks the drink has killed her." John said and (y/n) frowns. "I was afraid of that. I know she was drowning herself in the drink at the end of it all." (Y/n) said.

"And Mary-Beth is a romance author." John said and (y/n) laughs and Arthur shakes his head. "And then Pearson is running that store in Rhodes. And he's married." John said as Arthur was taking a sip of his drink but then he chokes and coughs at this. "What?" (Y/n) asked as Arthur recovers. "Yeah, surprised as well." John said. "Wow..." (y/n) mutters.

"Ma! Pa! Come out here!" Jack's voice calls out and they all run out of the house and see Sadie riding up. "Sadie, you're alive!" (Y/n) exclaimed and Abigail smiled. "John it's..." she started to say but John finished her sentence. "Sadie Adler." 

Sadie dismounts her horse and (y/n) goes over to hug her. Then it was Abigail's turn to hug her. "How you doin'?" Sadie asked them as Abigail smiles. Then Arthur goes up to her. "Hey, Sadie." He greets. "Well, if it isn't Arthur Morgan." Sadie said, smiling, then they hug. "I'm so happy, I'm so happy. Well, come on." Abigail said and they all head back inside the house. 

"Tell us about you, darling. And all armed to the teeth like that." Abigail said, after they introduced all of Arthur's and (y/n)'s children to Sadie, while she pointed at Sadie's outfit. "I'm a working woman, Abigail. I'm a bounty hunter, bodyguard. I protect the gold prospectors up in the Hills. I'm thinking of starting my own transportation business. I was thinking, maybe if John wanted to earn some money..." Sadie said but Abigail shakes her head.

"My husband, he ain't looking for that kind of work." She said, firmly. "I took on a lot of debt when we bought this place." John said. "And you're working for her to pay it off?" Abigail asked him, angrily. "Yes. Sometimes I was." John said. 

"But I thought we said no more of that." Abigail yelled. "No. You said that. What else am I going to do? I'm a damn man." John yells back. "It's legal work, Abigail, and I never got killed. It's hunting down fools for the government. Easy. Even Jack could do it." Sadie said as she gestures to Jack. "Don't you put those stupid ideas in the boy's head. He's going to do something better than this." Abigail said. "Like what? Writing silly stories?" John asked her.

"I'm sorry, Abigail. Really, I am. I just thought if you wanted to earn some money." Sadie said and Abigail glares at her then over to John. "How many times do I got to bury you, John Marston?" She asked. "Never. You ain't never burying me. It's legal work that I can handle." John said.

"If it's legal, it should be okay." (Y/n) said, shrugging, and Abigail scoffs. "Not you too!" She yells. "Look, it's hard to find a job, especially with us former outlaws." Arthur said and Abigail scoffs. "Abigail, I know how you feel. When we came back and started to look for jobs, I was scared when Arthur took some bounty hunting jobs. I was scared that either he was gonna get caught or, worse, get killed. But I always had faith in him to come back." (Y/n) said and Abigail frowns and looks down.

"There's something else." Sadie said and everyone looks up at her. "Micah?" John asked and everyone went silent. "Wait, Micah's alive?" Arthur asked. "Yeah, I meant to send a letter to you after I found out about that a few days ago. Seems like ol' Micah did get out and survived the beating you gave him." John said to him.

"Bounty hunting is one thing, but Micah?" Abigail said, angrily, while (y/n) gave Arthur a look of fear. "I heard he was upcountry, or some fellow who sounded just like him. Killed a family, but a little girl who escaped." Sadie explained and Abigail turns to John. "Leave Micah alone." she said.

"For once, I agree with her." Arthur said and Sadie and John turn to him. "What?" They said. "He just ain't worth it. I mean, John you got a family..." Arthur said. "After everything he did, you're saying you wouldn't go after him?" John asked Arthur, curiously. "I mean, don't you remember what he did to the gang?"

"I know! I do want him dead but...not by my hand. Revenge is a fool's game, John. You know that." Arthur said to him, firmly. "So you're saying even if I asked you to come help, you wouldn't?" Sadie asked and Arthur looks at her and sighs. "It would be a tempting offer...but no, I've got a family. I don't want that mess befall on us, on my children." Arthur said and Sadie nods. "All right..." she said and John looks down and everyone goes silent for a moment. (Y/n) took Arthur's hand in hers and he runs his thumb over the back of her hand.

"Anyway, I came back because I was riding by chasing a feller, and I thought John wanted to earn some extra money." Sadie said. "What is it?" Abigail asked. "Some feller robbed his business, an accountant or something. Came down from Rhodes, I believe." Sadie replied and John turns to her. "Abigail, we need the money." He said and she looks down then back over to Sadie.

"How much does it pay?" She asked. "It pays good. The soft ones usually do." Sadie said. "Okay, then. I guess, but Micah? No." Abigail said, firmly, and John and Sadie stand up. "All right. John Marston. Let's go." She said. "You bring him back to me. You're hear?" Abigail said to Sadie. "Of course." She said then she turns to Arthur.

"You want to come? We could always use another man." Sadie said to him. He thinks for a moment then shakes his head. "Nah, you two got it. Besides, I think we need to head back home." Arthur said and Sadie nods then her and John get on their horses and head out.

That night, (y/n) was laying in bed, her mind was buzzing about the news that Micah was still around. She had hoped he was dead but now knowing that he is out there, it scared her alot.

"(Y/n)? You okay?" Arthur asked her, after he got into bed next to her. "I was just...I was just thinking about that whole thing with Micah. I mean, what if he comes after us, Arthur?" She asked. "That'd be the last thing he'd ever do." Arthur said, in a low voice, but (y/n) still looked worried.

He frowns then places a hand on her cheek, caressing her face. "I would never let anything happen to you or the kids, (y/n). You...all of you...are important to me. It's my job to protect the kids and my wife." Arthur said as he takes her left hand in his free hand and ran his thumb over the wedding band on her finger. "And if for some reason that bastard comes here, I will do everything I can to stop him." Arthur said and she looks him in the eyes then nods. He looks back into her eyes then leans in to give her a kiss on the lips.

Days later, and it seemed everything was going well and normal. Arthur was working, the kids were going to school, with either (y/n) taking them or Oliver would sometimes help take them if Arthur was too busy, and (y/n) was doing her best to keep up with the ranch while taking care of Michael.

They would often go and visit John and vice versa. Then John gave them the news that he finally proposed to Abigail. Arthur and (y/n) were so happy for them that they invited them to come over to their home to celebrate.

But little did they know that this celebration would be cut short.

All the adults, including Jack, were just talking, drinking and laughing and Uncle was singing. They were just celebrating and toasting to the would-be couple when both Rufus and Dixon began to bark. They all stopped and looked out the window.

"What in the world?" (Y/n) said as she looks out the window and gasped. "It's Sadie!" She said and they all ran out of the house onto the porch to see Sadie galloping up to their home, only she wasn't alone. "I need help!" She calls out as she dismounts the horse and (y/n) let out a yelp.

Oliver was with Sadie and it looked like he had got shot in the stomach. Charles, John and Arthur run over to Sadie and helped get off of the horse. "What the hell happen?" Arthur asked while Oliver groaned in pain. 
"Easy there, we got you." Charles assured him. "The...kids...gotta...get...them..." Oliver groaned in between each pained breath. Arthur's eyes widen once hearing this as Charles and John lead him in the house.

"What happened?!" (Y/n) exclaimed as everyone gets into the house and set Oliver on the table after they cleared it off. "Micah." Sadie said and (y/n)'s hear stopped. "What?!" Arthur said and everyone looked around horrified.

"I tracked him down in Strawberry. He was already causing chaos there once I arrived. Then Micah attacked this gentleman, who had your kids with him, and...he had his men take them." Sadie explained and (y/n)'s face goes pale. "No, no, no, no..." (y/n) said and she falls back and Abigail and Jack catch her. "Hey, hey..." Abigail said to her, calmly.

"God, please, don't let this be happening?!" (Y/n) cries and Sadie gives her a sympathetic look. "I'm sorry..." she said and (y/n) starts to cry while Arthur's fist begins to clench.

"Once Micah shot him, they took off and I tried to shoot at them but they were fast and took off. I tried to take him to the doctor but...he said he had to give you a message, Arthur." Sadie said and Arthur frowns then walks up to Oliver.

"A-A-Arthur..." Oliver said, weakly, blood pouring out of his mouth. "Hey, try to keep your strength..." Charles said to him, calmly. "No! He...has...to know..." Oliver said and he looks at Arthur. "He knows...you are...around...he took...the kids...I tried to...stop him..." Oliver said to Arthur as Charles works on his wound. 

"What does he want?" Arthur asked him. "You...he said come see him in...Mount Hagan..." Oliver said then he coughs and (y/n) stands up and goes over to the table and stands by him. "Oliver, hang on. Please. Just hang on, Charles is gonna patch you up, okay?" She said and Oliver gives a weak smile to her and raised his hand up, slightly, and places it over her hand.

(Y/n) looks down at his hand then back at him. "I should've...married...you." he said, weakly. (Y/n) gasped at this and Oliver's head falls back, lets out his last breath and goes limp. "Oliver?" (Y/n) said as everyone goes quiet. She shakes his shoulder but he doesn't move and the life in his eyes were gone.

"No, no, no, no...." (y/n) cried and she places her hand over her mouth and closed her eyes. Arthur stares at Oliver's body for a moment then turned away and punches the wall. "DAMN IT!" Arthur yells and everyone looks at him, worried.

Arthur sighs as he thinks then let's out a heavy sigh then heads into his bedroom. "Arthur?" (Y/n) asked him as she follows him. She enter their room and sees him grabbing his holsters and guns. "I'm gonna go get them..." Arthur said. "Not on your own you're not." She said. "Yes, I am. This is my fight." Arthur yelled. "Maybe it doesn't have to be, Arthur." John said as he comes up next to (y/n).

"John, no!" Abigail said and John turns to her. "Abigail, there's kids involved. We gotta stop this." John said. Abigail stares at her fiancé, tearfully, wanting to argue more, but she couldn’t bring herself to. If it was Jack that was taken, she would want John to go save him. It wouldn’t be right for her to plead for him not to save someone else’s children.

“No. I have to stop this.” Arthur growled, tightening his holster to his waist. “Arthur.” John said, worried. “Micah asked me to come.” Arthur said, moving between John and (y/n) to the hallway and marching towards the door, with an almost animalistic-like look in his eyes.

“But not alone, we can help.” Sadie said, everyone following Arthur's every step. “No.” Arthur said, firmly. Right as he was about to reach the door, Charles step in front of him blocking his exit. “Arthur you can’t go alone. It’s suicide.” He said. “No one else here needs to die.” Arthur said, turning around and moving pass the others to walk towards the back door now. “Arthur, this as much our fight as it yours.” Sadie said. 

“Don’t mean you have to throw your life away. Haven’t I told you all that revenge is a fool's game?” Arthur asked. “This isn’t about revenge. This is about your kids.” John said.

Arthur stops in front of the backdoor, shaking his head at this argument. “I can’t ask any of you to come with me.” He said, turning to face everyone. “You don’t have to.” John said, stepping forward. “John, think of your family.” Arthur said, turning away. “I am. You’re my brother, Arthur.” John declared, Arthur turns back to look him.

“I wouldn’t even be here if it weren’t for you.” John said. “None of us would.” Sadie said, coming up to stand next to John. Charles steps over to stand with them as well. “You helped us all, Arthur Morgan. And like a good man, you never asked for anything in return. But please, let us help you like you’ve helped all of us.” He pleaded.

Arthur looks between his friends…no…his family and sighs, looking down and shaking his head in defeat. When he raises his head, he smiles with his eyes now glassy with tears. “Will you all ride with me?” He asked, all three smile at him. “You don’t even have ask, brother.” John replied.

QArthur nods then goes over to (y/n). "I'm sorry about all of this..." Arthur said and she shakes her head. "It's okay...just...get our kids back." She said. "I will." Arthur said then (y/n) leans up and kisses him, he kisses her back. "Be safe." She whispers to him. Arthur smiles and gives her a quick kiss then he turns to the others.

"All right, Charles, John, Sadie...let’s ride." He said and they nod and follow him out. They all mount their horses and they head off while (y/n) and Abigail were standing on the porch. (Y/n) wraps her arms around herself and Abigail places her right arm around (y/n)'s shoulder as they watch their men leave, making a silent prayer that they will return in one piece.
