American Venom
Arthur, John, Sadie and Charles make their way into the mountains, all of them wearing heavy coats, when they hear gunshots. "Watch out!" Sadie shouts when another gunshot sounds out and Charles falls over.
"Charles!" Arthur and John shout as they get off of their horse. "There must be a sniper. Get in cover, quick." Sadie shouts and they all hide while Charles leans up against a boulder. "You alive, Charles?" Arthur asked him. "Just about." Charles said as he holds his arm.
"Boys, be careful. We got to get closer to him." Sadie shouts a day they would move up whenever the sniper started firing at them. Finally, Arthur was close enough and shot and killed the sniper. "You got him. Okay, let's go back to Charles." Sadie said and her and the two men make their way back to Charles.
"Hey, you're okay." Sadie said as she kneels next to him. "I will be, but go on. Go on now." Charles said but Arthur and John don't move as they give Charles a concern look. "Move fast or they'll come down that hill and kill us all." Charles said. "Well, all of you but me." Arthur said as he looks towards the mountain.
"We're not letting you go up there alone." John said and Arthur looks him over. "I don't want to leave him alone." Arthur said. "Hey, they know we're coming now. I will be fine, I'll follow you up. I just can't move fast." Charles assures and Arthur looks down at him. "Okay." Arthur said then he gestures for Sadie and John to follow him. "Come on." He said and they all run up the hill.
A few of Micah's men came down and they three of them shot and killed them. Then as they got up a bit on the hill they see a campsite. "There's a camp here." Arthur points out as they walk up to the camp. "It's not big enough. Micah rides with 10, 20 guys." Sadie points out. "So, there's more..." John said and Sadie nods and they all continue on with the fight as it seemed more and more of Micah's men coming at them.
But then three guys come and one jumped on Sadie while John and Arthur shot the other two. "Get your hands off of her!" John yells just as the third guys stabs Sadie in the side. Arthur quickly takes aim and shoots the man in the head while Sadie gasps and holds her side.
"You all right?" John asked as he and Arthur walk up to her. "Just fine." Sadie said but Arthur noticed the blood pouring out of her. "You don't look too fine." Arthur said as they help her up on her feet. "You're bleeding pretty bad." John points out. "Ain't nothing." Sadie said with a growl. "You should sit down." John said. "I'm fine." Sadie said as she tries to walk.
"You're dying." Arthur said. "I'll be fine." Sadie growls. "Just sit, it's okay." John tells her as he leads over to a rock. "I ain't dying. I ain't." Sadie said, firmly, holding her side. "I hope not." Arthur said. "I ain't dying. Just go get him, I'll be fine. I just need to rest." Sadie said as Charles comes up to them.
"Okay. Charles, stay with her." Arthur tells him and Sadie turns to him. "Charles, you worry about yourself. I'll be up there in a minute." Sadie said while John and Arthur ascended higher into the mountains and encounter three armed men.
"Look who it is. Ain't you two got a habit of just showing up?" One of the men taunted and Arthur recognized him as one of the men Micah hired when they arrived in Beaver's Hollow, Joe was his name if Arthur could recall. "Where we got something to take care of, sure." Arthur said. "We ain't here for you, we just want the kids back." John said.
"You ain't getting any further than here." Joe said and Arthur grins. "I hoped you would say that." He said then both him and John pulls out their guns and shot and killed their men. "That was Joe. We've got to be close." Arthur called out to Sadie and Charles as he and John take off into the mountain.
They shoot their way through until they come up a small shake looking place and come up to it. "Micah, if you're here, come out." John shouts while Arthur looks around the area, too angry to say anything.
"Hello, cowpokes. Did you miss me?" A familiar voice asked and John and Arthur turn around to see Micah standing outside of the shack but he wasn't alone. He had Annebeth at gunpoint.
"Let her go, you sick sonuvabitch!" Arthur growls as he and John aim their guns at him. "Is that a way to greet an old friend?" Micah asked, smiling. "You're no friend of ours." Arthur growls and Micah chuckles.
"Been a few years. How's that whore of yours, scarface?" Micah asked John. "She's good." John said. "Well, maybe after all this is over I'll go pay her a call, and the boy." Micah said. "Whatever you say." John sneers as Annebeth sniffles, shakes and cries. "Let my daughter go, Micah, and tell me where the other two are." Arthur demanded.
"Aww...and cut this little reunion short? I don't think so, cowpoke." Micah said and Arthur glares at him. "Gotta say, Morgan. These kids are just...adorable, they must've gotten it from their Momma." He said. "Speaking of their Momma, how is she?"
"She's good, but would be better once you give me the kids." Arthur said in a low voice. "Well, maybe after I visit Abigail, I can go visit (y/n). You know, I've always had a soft spot for her..." Micah said before he chuckles, Arthur gripping his gun alittle tighter. "I can go see her and show her how a real man treats a woman. You think she'd like that, Morgan?" Micah asked and this was pissing Arthur off.
He started to take a step forward towards him. "Ah, ah, ah, ah...." Micah said as he sticks the barrel of the gun harder on to Annebeth's head. Annebeth burst into tears and Arthur stops as he sees the distress on her face. "Daddy!" She cried and Arthur's heart was breaking. "Aww...it's okay, little Annebeth, Uncle Micah won't hurt you. Well, as long as your Daddy don't do anything stupid." Micah said and Arthur was shaking at this point.
"Just let the kids go, Micah, and maybe we'll think about letting you live." John demanded and Micah laughs. "Like I'm gonna take orders from you, scarface." Micah said then there was a sound of a gun being cocked behind him. "You better listen to him." Sadie growled as she aimed her gun with her right hand and her left hand holding her wound.
"Oh, ho, ho...Hellfire, it's just like old times." Micah laughs. "Come on, let the girl go, turn around and start walking." Sadie ordered. "You got me." Micah said as he moves the gun away from Annebeth and holsters it. Annebeth goes into a sprint and runs over to Arthur, embracing him. "Hey, you're okay." Arthur whispers to her, relieved, then pushes Annebeth behind him.
"Just like old times. All matter of folk paying social calls." Micah said. "Tell us where you are hiding..." Arthur started to ask when the door to the shake bursts open.
They all look over at the shack and Alastair and Eleanor were walking out, both of them lokking upset. They were also being lead out at gunpoint by a man Arthur had last expected to see.
"Hello, sons. Mrs. Adler. Been quite a while." Dutch said as he holds both his revolvers to the kids' head. "No." Sadie whispered while John and Arthur stood there, stunned, and Annebeth grabbed onto the back of Arthur's coat.
Then, as quick as the flash, Micah turned around and tackled Sadie down then got up and placed a foot on her arm. She tried to get up but Micah pistol whips her across the face and she falls back and coughs up blood. Micah holds his gun to Sadie's head. "You were wondering where they were....well, here they are." Micah said as he gestures to the two kids.
"What are you doing here, Dutch?" John asked while Arthur was too shocked to say anything. "Same as you I suppose." Dutch said. "Dutch and I are teaming up once more. We got money, we got dreams. Join us, boys. Join us. And we will let the kids go." Micah said.
"Dutch. Dutch, come on now." Arthur pleads, finally finding his voice, as he aims his gun at Dutch while John had his trained on Micah. "You betrayed me, Arthur. You and John....left when the gang need you." Dutch growled. "We could say the same as you." Arthur said.
"I was trying to do my best. You...You just cared for yourself." Dutch yells. "I think differently." Arthur growls as he and Dutch glare at each other. "Let her go, she ain't well." John yells at Micah. "I don't want to kill you or Arthur, John." Micah said then John looks over at Dutch.
"Dutch. Dutch, we all did our best for you. Ain't our fault things turned out the way they did." John said and Dutch narrowed his eyes at him. "Dutch, killing me or John or even the kids won't solve nothing." Arthur said. "Put down your gun, both of you." Micah orders but Arthur ignores him as he tries one more time to plead to the man he had looked up to.
"Agh, damn it, Dutch! These are my kids! You hear me! My kids! They're also innocent and have nothing to do with this mess. Don't that mean at least something to ya?" Arthur asked Dutch. Dutch looks down at the kids, hearing them letting out small cries and sniffles. Seeing and hearing them cry, did tug at Dutch's heart, what little he had left, but then he looks back at Arthur, and the anger filled his chest and his eyes narrowed at him. "I'm sorry, son. But what you did...was the ultimate betrayal. One that I can't forgive." Dutch said and he starts to cock his gun.
But he didn't have time to do anything as Arthur fired two shots at him, one in the chest and one in the head. At that moment, Alastair grabbed Eleanor and they ducked down as Dutch flops backwards, dead. "What the...?" Micah said when John fires several shots at Micah, mainly in his chest.
Micah jerks back and he started to walk off until Arthur fired a bullet in his head.
Arthur and John breath, heavily, at this before Arthur and Annebeth run over to the two youngest kids while John goes to check on Sadie. "You okay?" John asked her. "Fine. Help me up." she said to him and he helps her up.
"You two okay?" Arthur asked Alastair and Eleanor as they get up send go to hug him, crying. "It's okay, kids. It's okay. I gotcha, I gotcha." He whispers to them as he holds them close and Annebeth joins in on the embrace.
Arthur then pulls out the embrace with his children and turns to John and Sadie. "You two okay?" He asked them. "Yeah..." Sadie replied as she leans against a pile of wood. "Let's go get Charles." Arthur said. "There's money. Lots of money in the cabin. Blackwater." Sadie said. "What?!" Arthur said, shocked, and John looks over at him. "I'll go see." John said as he hurries inside the lodge. "Hurry up. I've got a wedding I want to go to." Sadie calls out as John runs in.
"You kids stay with Aunt Sadie." Arthur tells the kids and they nod and go over to the kids while Arthur follows John. "Hey, kiddos." Sadie said, smiling at the kids.
Arthur runs into the lodge, behind John, as John goes up to a trunk and opens it. "Shit!" John exclaimed, surprised, as they see that the trunk was full of money and gold. "I'll be damned. Never thought I'd see this." Arthur mutters. "Same here." John said and he looks around and found some bags nearby. "Here." He said as he hands a couple to Arthur and the two men begin to fill the bags with the money.
Later, they walk out of the lodge, their bags full of money and gold, and Arthur goes up to his kid. "You kids okay?" He asked them again. "Yeah..." Annebeth said. "I wanna go home." Eleanor said. "Me too." Alastair said. "Okay, well let's go." Arthur said and the kids follow him as John helps Sadie to walk. Once they find Charles, they get him and Sadie patched up then they all load up and head back home.
(y/n) was standing outside, looking down at the newly dugged grave that her, Abigail and Uncle made for Oliver. She felt awful for him and hated that he got caught up in all of this. "I'm so sorry, Oliver." She whispered and she stood there in silence for a bit until she heard what sounded like hooves from a horse.
She raises her head and sees several horses coming up towards the house. Abigail, Jack, Uncle, come out here." she calls out as the horses got closer and she noticed it was John, Arthur, Sadie and Charles. And it looked like they had the kids.
(Y/n) gasped and placed her hands over her mouth as they come up to them. "Mommy!" The kids exclaimed as they dismount the horses. "Oh my babies!" (Y/n) cried as she runs to them and they all embrace her as Abigail runs over to John and hugs him while Uncle goes to pat Charles' shoulder.
(Y/n) turns to Arthur and walks over to him. "Is.. is it..." she stammers. "It's over, (y/n). It's all over." Arthur tells her and she let's out a happy sob and embraces him. He holds her, tightly, and buries his face in her shoulders. Then he pulls back to look down at her. "I love you." He whispers to her. "I love you too." She said and they share a loving kiss.
He couldn't believe it. Arthur had a home, he got the woman he loved and married her, he has kids, he has friends...he has a family. Something he didn't think he would ever happen to him. And now he has money and cut ties with his past.
For the first time in his life, Arthur Morgan was a free man and he couldn't wait to enjoy his freedom with his family for the rest of his life.
