Carmen shook her head. She couldn't believe it! VILE tried to recruit them. If they had accepted, Carmen shuddered. Imagine the consequences that would have fallen across the world. Carmen told them the whole story about VILE.

"That was really brave of you," Annabeth said taking her hand in hers.

"If it helps Hermes would probably tell you about her" Piper pipped in (hehe see what I did there? no? I'll go hide in my little pun hole). 

"Finally!" A voice said off to Annabeth's right. Annabeth grinned. 

"Hello Malcolm" She greeted. Annabeth noticed Will, Lacy, and a few other Aphrodite cabin girls grinning rather wickedly and dancing as though someone gave them a million bucks. 

"What the-" Percy started but stopped himself. "Never mind, some ship just sailed for them probably but why's Will there? He's usually sensible". At that Malcolm turned red. 

"Hold up, why is Mr.Smartypants turning red?" Jason asked a grin forming. 

"Who. Is. It?" Leo asked in a dead-serious tone. Piper squealed. 

"Beauty queen, I love you like a sister but your inner Aphrodite's showing," Leo said grinning. Piper smacked him on the head. 

"It's obvious! It's-" But Piper was cut off by Malcolm's hand clamped over the mouth. Percy and Jason understood who is it was and started teasing him. 

"Malana! Malana" They chanted and danced. It reminded Carmen of a tribal dance. 

"What?" Carmen asked looking at them oddly. Piper and Annabeth exchanged a look that meant:  Why-are-we-dating-these-psychopaths-?.  Which neither knew the answer to. 

"Malana is a ship name" Leo explained smirking. "Like we have Percabeth everyone number 1 OTP then Jasper then Caleo or Frazel or Solangelo." 

"Percabeth? Hm, Percy and Annabeth?" Carmen asked. The seven nodded. 

"Malcolm is the Mal bit but who is ana bit?" Carmen quizzed. 

"Diana" Malcolm said wistfully. His sister elbowed him and made kissy faces.

"Did I say anything when you started dating?" Malcolm asked. 

"Yes, you and mother haunted me everywhere about it," his sister said. At that moment Diana walked in. All eyes immediately switched to her. 

"Uhh," she said she took a step to the left and our eyes followed her. "What's going on?". Malcolm made a show of telling her to leave. 

"Aww does Malcolm want to protect his girlfriend?" Annabeth teased. Both of them suddenly became related to tomatoes. 

"I could approve of her choice" Will commented. "I panicked when I saw that Zach fellow, thought that all my hard work would go to waste. But she chose the smart, handsome, reliable choice.". Malcolm seemed uncomfortable with the praise but Zach who was eavesdropping on them by a bush was raging. 

"Smart, reliable, handsome" Zach mocked Will. 

"Well I have a favor to ask," Carmen said interrupting Zach's complaining. 

"Ask away Red-coated stealer," Leo smirked. 

"Do a caper with me, I want to steal VILE's most important item" Carmen said with a humorless grin.
