Aurora Kaili was blessed with a curse. Enchanted by a powerful mutant to fall into a sleep-like paralysis for the rest of her days, she was forced into hiding, taken away from her parents to live with her godmothers in the city under the guise of Briar Rose Kaili, pretending to be a normal non-mutant whose major problems were smeared lipgloss and finishing her biology homework.

It wasn't all bad, of course. Finding a friend in Peter Parker, her old English partner who had a habit of being late to everything, she was able to live with her curse, even if it kept her from marathoning Star Wars with him and his friends like she promised. All in all, her life was somewhat normal, and that was all she and her family could ever hope for.

But with the creeping threat of her sixteenth birthday, Aurora needed to think fast. Because her curse did have one catch: three days before she was to turn sixteen, she would be unable to wake unless someone were to break her curse. For good. Maleficent did always have the flair for the dramatic, it seemed. While the details were unknown to her, she knew exactly who to go to.

Thus begins a race against time as Aurora enlists the help of Spider-Man and Phillip Prince in her quest to break her curse and wake up, to live longer than a meager sixteen years. With only three days before the end, they try to work together and solve every puzzle, along the way discovering what it means to be your own hero and unearthing the biggest mystery of all. Love.
