Holding the photograph in my hand I smiled,
Did i miss something?
Time just flies,
So fast that it was all a blur,
The little girl grining in the picture was similar yet so different from me,

Her twinkling eyes held many unfamiliar emotions,
gentleness,mischief,happiness,
She looked as fragile as a petal,
Her grin admirably genuine,
Like she had no cares in the world,
Satisfied by the innocent world she had built for herself,
Clueless about what the future holds.

Some people were indeed correct when they said,
Childhood is one of the most beautiful times of your life,
Cherish it,
Hold it close to you,
The times which are gone would never come back.
